OPPRESSIVE MAMA GOV’T 

(CNN) To reduce smoking, the FDA (Food and Drug Admin) proposed a ban on menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars. Activists call it “historic” for "public health." Experts say tobacco co's will sue to stop this "tobacco-control." 

"Through careful consideration of the scientific evidence and our authorities under the Tobacco Control Act, we've determined that these actions are appropriate for protection of the public health," FDA Commissioner Democrat "Dr." Robert Califf (a Obama holdover who stepped down under Trump) told a Senate subcommittee. 

"The proposed product standards would…improve…health and reduce…mortality…of current smokers of menthol cigarettes or flavored cigars…. This is another important move forward in the agency's efforts to combat youth tobacco use and promote health equity." 

"I want to underscore the momentous aspect of this. It will be a game-changer," said Erika Sward, assistant VP at American Lung Association. "The rules will have a tremendous impact on stopping kids from starting to use tobacco and critically save lives of people, particularly from diverse backgrounds." 

About 18.6 million people smoke menthols in the U.S. — 36% of all smokers, per the FDA —  and disproportionately "people of color." 

About 30% of White smokers choose menthols, but they are the cigarette of choice for nearly 85% of smokers who are Black. About 40% of women smoke menthols, compared with 31% of men, according to the FDA.

LGBTQ people are also significantly more likely to smoke menthols (IT’S A GAY CIGARETTE!). A 2013 study that looked at data from the Obama CDC's 2009-2010 National Adult Tobacco survey found 36% of LGBTQ smokers chose menthols, compared with 29.3% of straight smokers. OH GOSH. 

"Today marks the beginning of the end of menthol cigarettes -- a truly historic moment for public health. For decades, tobacco companies have intentionally pushed menthol cigarettes to hook young people on their deadly products and implemented racist marketing practices to intentionally target [b]lack Americans; the resulting health consequences have been devastating," said Dr. Julie Morita, executive vice president at the multibillion-dollar "health equity" group Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (related to Johnson & Johnson). 

More than half of minors who smoke use menthols, per the CDC. The majority of adults started with menthols. Studies say kids who smoked menthols were more likely to become regular smokers. 

CORRUPT DEMOCRAT HHS (Health and Human Services) Sec Xavier Becerra (of CA) called it "an important step to…health equity … reducing … health disparities." 

After the 2009 Tobacco Control Act (UNDER OBAMA THE SMOKER) — the law banned flavored cigarettes, hence flavored cigars: menthol and "kid-friendly" fruit punch, strawberry and grape. 

Flavored cigars and cigarillos, especially popular among minors, particularly [b]lack and Hispanic “kids” (or “teens”?), twice as likely to smoke them as [w]hite classmates. 

The FDA noted nearly 74% of teens 12 to 17 (12 is not teen!) said they smoked cigars because of flavors they enjoyed. 

In 2020, more young people said they tried a cigar every day than tried a cigarette. HUH? 

Some activists, like black so-called Rev. Al Sharpton and the evil BLM-spinoff Mothers of the Movement, warned a ban on menthols could cause more violent encounters with police as they enforce the rule. HA! (Sharpton gets money from Reynolds American (tobacco company) — but “this is not about money,” Sharpton says. 

NOT READ: Corrupt NAACP and Congressional Black Caucus (both worse than the KKK) are for the ban. NAACP statement: "huge win for equity, justice, and public health concerns." SHADDAP! 

The next step: a comment period from May 4 through July 5. The FDA will hold public listening sessions June 13 and 15.

CIGARETTES NOT THE ONLY ONES TARGETING KIDS

(CNN) Moderna said yesterday they’re seeking EUA (emergency use authorization) from the CORRUPT FDA for their China Virus vaccine for children 6 months through 5 years old! To date, no China Virus vaccines' been authorized for children under 5 in the US -- 18 million children (MONEY MONEY MONEY!). Moderna officials said the FDA is expected to move fast, and a Pfizer official suggested its vaccine for younger children could also be available in June, if authorized. 

Pfizer asked the FDA days ago to green-light a booster of its vaccine for children ages 5 through 11. Experts say vaccines for children are high priority following studies show vaccine efficacy waned significantly in children amid the spread of the Omicron variant. 

WANNA ACTUALLY SAVE KIDS? STOP BABY KILLING! 

(CNN) Oklahoma lawmakers passed a "6-week abortion ban" yesterday modeled after the controversial (MEANING NOT QUITE BASED BUT OK) Texas abortion law, which allows private citizens to take civil action against abortion providers (who aid and abet or commit the baby-killing). 

The bill would prohibit abortions when a physician can detect early cardiac activity in an embryo or fetus (i.e. baby), as early as six weeks -- before many women even know they’re pregnant (THEY THINK THEY’RE JUST FAT AND UNHEALTHY!). Exceptions for medical emergencies (NOT rape or incest). 

The bill heads to Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt, who pledged to sign all legislation limiting abortion. 

(TheSkimm) This weeks after the governor signed another anti-abortion bill making it a felony to "perform the procedure," punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Republican-led states severely curtailing the procedure (of baby-killing) — (TheSkimm) Since January, hundreds of abortion restrictions’ been intro'd in more than 40 states.

Supreme Court decision whether to overturn Roe (thx to a based male lawyer working for Mississipi’s AG) expected by July.

GEORGIA RINO GOV. PRETENDING TO BE BASED

(CNN) “We weren’t elected by the people of this state to shy away from doing what some may call controversial.” -- Republican Gov. Brian Kemp of Georgia, on signing several education bills into law yesterday, one banning "divisive concepts" on IMAGINARY racism. 

The "Protect Students First Act," part of a broader conservative movement to limit how imaginary racism (WHICH DOESN’T EXIST) such as CRT is propagandized in schools. 

Kemp also signed HB 1178, the "Parents' Bill of Rights," greater transparency on what students are taught, and SB 226, which bans offensive (or obscene) literature from school libraries. 

OBAMA ECONOMY IS BACK

(CNN) America's economy unexpectedly shrank, first quarter 2022. GDP (Gross domestic product) declined 1.4% (annual rate) first three months of the year — worst quarter for the American economy since the SCAM-demic OVERREACTION i.e. COMMIE SHUTDOWNS turned the world upside down, spring 2020. "Economists" say don't panic; not an indicator of immediate recession. “The negative GDP number is a surprise, but not a material one," some guy said, Moody's Analytics' Mark Zandi. "The economy continues to grow strongly and at a pace that continues to bring down unemployment." YAH OK. 

Consumer spending -- supposed main driver of the US economy -- accelerated first three months of the year. Business investment surged 9.2% (annual rate) first quarter, up from 2.9% fourth quarter. WHATEVER THAT MEANS. 

(TheSkimm) Bank of America and Deutsche Bank say a recession could come as soon as next year. Federal Reserve expected to raise interest rates — inflation out of control, thanks to Dems and RINOs.
