19 states against 4
(Revolver) 17 states tell Supreme Court they support Texas bid to restore Trump’s win… (plus AZ, so 18, plus of course TX the original makes 19 total states against 4 swingers)
Utah RINOs mad at AG
Independent journalist @mtracey tweeted: 'Interesting chasm between certain GOP Governors and GOP Attorneys General on this Texas lawsuit. "AG" is sometimes known as "Aspiring Governor" so that may explain the political dynamics at play'
(KSL) Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes announced on Wednesday that Utah has joined an amicus brief in support of the Texas petition to the United States Supreme Court to review the constitutionality of the election process.
"Because all Americans need clarity and confidence in our national elections, I have joined the amicus brief supporting the petition of Texas and urge the Supreme Court to address this issue once and for all," Reyes said in a statement on Wednesday.
Shortly thereafter, Gov. Gary Herbert and Gov.-elect Spencer Cox released a joint statement expressing disapproval of Reyes' decision to joining the amicus brief.
"The Attorney General did not consult us before signing on to this brief, so we don't know what his motivation is," their statement reads. "Just as we would not want other states challenging Utah's election results, we do not think we should intervene in other states' elections. Candidates who wish to challenge election results have access to the courts without our involvement. This is an unwise use of taxpayers' money."
Chinese professor talks about deep state
(Revolver) Di Dongsheng: “The fact is that the ‘United States’ does not really exist” …
It’s a tweet from Darren J. Beattie:
Chinese elites not only understand America better than American elites understand China, Chinese elites understand America better than most American elites understand America.
Darren quote-tweeted Jack Posobiec, who shared a video clip, and wrote: … Renmin University professor Di Dongsheng talk[s] about how the US government really works
Obama mad he can't fool everyone
Obama blames Fox News, Rush Limbaugh for destroying 'connection' he had with conservatives (Just the News -- John Solomon shared this on Twitter)
(Just the News) Obama told the far-left extremist anti-free speech PEN America virtual gala, said he got “enormous support from pretty conservative, rural, largely white communities” as Senator from IL, but, “By my second year in office [as the worst President in history], I’m not sure if I could make that same connection, because now those same people are filtering me through Fox News and Rush Limbaugh and an entire right-wing or conservative media infrastructure that was characterizing me in a way that suggested I looked down on those folks or had nothing in common with them.”
Remember…
During his first run for president in the 2008 Democratic primary, Obama said it was "not surprising" that small-town voters in the midwest "get bitter" and "cling to guns and religion."
He also mocked the Tea Party, let the MSM call them racist, let Sen. Maj. Ldr. Harry Reid (D-NV) call them terrorists.
His opponent at the time, Hillary Clinton, criticized Obama for his comments. (SHE’S THE SAME ONE WHO PUT HALF OF TRUMP SUPPORTERS IN A BASKET OF DEPLORABLES. RACIST, SEXIST, ETC.) He later said he regretted the remarks.
Obama, author of the new book, A Promised Land, said if he visited a small town in southern Illinois as a senator, he could probably meet the "local editor of the newspaper who might be a conservative guy with a bow tie and a crew cut" and the editor might write an editorial describing him as "a young liberal kid from Chicago, but seems sensible, had some good ideas."
"That’s how people were receiving me — with a different set of assumptions than they would today," he said. "It’s yet one more example of how the connections that I may see, because I experienced them in my own life, may get harder to make if we’re only understanding people through our phones and our screens and we’re not having the face-to-face conversations where, by virtue of that conversation and experience, we can recognize ourselves in each other."
PEN America awarded Obama the "Voice of Influence Award" during the gala.
BTW: (Drudge) GALLUP: Support for ObamaCare back at record high… WHAT A SCAM!
LIMBAUGH: We're Trending Towards Secession…
(Drudge / RushLimbaugh.com) He talks about how the media became more openly brazenly partisan as he called out their lies, and they called him racist, bigoted, etc.
He talks about how liberal and corrupt the cities are.
“I actually think that we’re trending toward secession. I see more and more people asking what in the world do we have in common with the people who live in, say, New York?”
He talked about “how much more separated our culture is becoming politically and that it can’t go on this way. There cannot be a peaceful coexistence of two completely different theories of life, theories of government, theories of how we manage our affairs. We can’t be in this dire a conflict without something giving somewhere along the way.”
He said that “our problem is the fact that there are just so many RINOs, so many Republicans in the Washington establishment who will do anything to maintain their membership in the establishment because of the perks and the opportunities that are presented for their kids and so forth.”
