DEBATE POSTPONED

Hunter Avallone systematic racism MDD (Modern-Day Debate) appearance cancelled again for rescheduling (possibly Sat, Feb 12th, 9am PT?).

 Some of my viewers speculate he’s scared. Others consider it female, fickle behavior. But sometimes things come up that one cannot help. Lots of ppl sick, lots of things coming up for ppl. I grant him the benefit of the doubt. But it is a sign of maturity to hold to your word and commitments. Sometimes that’s not doable though. 

CENSORSHIP AND FORCING A NARRATIVE

(TheSkimm) “The Joe Rogan Experience” — a podcast exclusively acquired by Spotify in 2020, reportedly for more than $100 million. With an estimated 11 million listeners per episode, it's the streaming service's top show. In it, Rogan has questioned the need for healthy, young people to get vaccinated. But he says he’s “not an anti-vax person.” Last month, he chatted with a controversial doctor who has made false COVID-19 claims. YouTube took down clips of the interview for violating its guidelines. Now, other artists and podcasters are telling the streaming service 'it's us or Rogan.'

Last week Neil Young said he would remove his music from Spotify due to COVID-19 misinformation on Rogan’s podcast. Joni Mitchell and Bruce Springsteen’s guitarist Nils Lofgren followed suit in “solidarity.” 

Spotify Sunday announced updated rules and added a content advisory to podcast episodes that contain discussions about the virus.

 It comes after 270 physicians and scientists (CNN cites this stupid thing too) signed an open letter last month calling on Spotify to remove Rogan’s interview with the controversial doctor.

Some, like Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) are defending Spotify’s decision to side with Rogan — saying “free speech is kinda important.” #DeleteSpotify and #CancelSpotify were trending. And Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (who have a podcast deal with Spotify) are also saying 'not a fan.' Now, the Swedish company is trying

(Hollywood Reporter) Joe Rogan Responds to Podcast Controversy, Neil Young – The Hollywood Reporter: "If there's anything that I've done that I could do better, it's having more experts with differing opinions right after I have the controversial ones," Rogan said in a video posted on Instagram.

 Joe Rogan posted a nearly 10-minute video on Instagram on Sunday night in which he addressed the controversy surrounding his Spotify podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, and promised to “do my best in the future to balance things out.”
