(CNN Tue. 6/20/23) QUOTE: “We're working hard to wake people up.” — Ingrid Newkirk, the female co-founder of PETA (“People” for the “Ethical” Treatment of Animals), age 74 (who seems to think hamburgers should be illegal [apparently takes 43-minutes to say it?]), saying the animal rights organization is setting its sights on dragging the fashion industry away from wool, leather and down.

Newkirk (Ingrid) said they plan to use the same aggressive tactics they used to shift the market away from fur in the 1980s. "Everyone aspired to have a fur … but that's all gone now," Newkirk said, adding "we're here to change the industry." WHAT A PSYCHO

(Wikipedia Early Life) her mother volunteered for Mother Teresa in a leper colony and a home for unwed mothers. Newkirk attended a convent boarding school in the Himalayas for well-to-do Indian nationals and non-natives. "It was the done thing for a British girl in India", she told Michael Specter for The New Yorker. "But I was the only British girl in this school. I was hit constantly by nuns, starved by nuns. The whole God thing was shoved right down my throat."[4]
