(CNN) High winds and heat fuel dangerous wildfires across the southwestern four states of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Texas -- a dozen large fires already burned more than 320,000 acres, triple-digit temperatures not helping! 

INMATE ESCAPE TRAGEDY: SHE DIED FOR LOVE

(CNN) The nationwide search for a wayward Alabama corrections officer and the inmate she disappeared with ended yesterday before Vicky White died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, officials said (it was reported she was apprehended and hospitalized in serious condition). Vicky White, 56, and Casey White, 38 (NO RELATION, 18 YEARS YOUNGER THAN HER!...both white, apparently), captured in Evansville, Indiana, following a police chase who tracked them down thanks to a tip that from the public. A US Marshal drove a vehicle into the car the pair (couple?) drove. Officers were able to remove the inmate from the wrecked car, but Vicky White was pinned inside with a gunshot wound to her head. Casey White reportedly told authorities to help "his wife" who had shot herself and told them he didn't do it. The lengthy manhunt that gained widespread attention.

RESORT DEATHS

(CNN) Three Americans died of unknown causes at a Sandals resort (which you might see on TV commercials) on the Bahamas' Great Exuma island Friday… officials conducting autopsies of travelers' bodies -- two from Tennessee, one from Florida -- they died over the course of one evening. A fourth American, the new widow of the dead Floridian, airlifted to the Bahamas's capital of Nassau for treatment before being transferred stateside. No signs of trauma found on the bodies, claimed Royal Bahamas Police Force, circumstances under police investigation. 

BODY IN LAKE MEAD OUTSIDE VEGAS

(CNN) QUOTE: “The lake has drained dramatically over the last 15 years. It's likely that we will find additional bodies that have been dumped in Lake Mead.” -- Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Homicide Lt. Ray Spencer, commenting on the discovery of body in a barrel in Lake Mead earlier this month. More human remains were found over the weekend in the country's largest reservoir. Around 40 million people in the West rely on water from the Colorado River and its two largest reservoirs -- Lake Mead (with dead bodies in it) and Lake Power -- where levels have plunged over the past few years amid a SUPPOSEDLY "climate change"-fueled megadrought. HAhA, OK… 

DAILY DOSE OF UKRAINE PROPAGANDA

(CNN) The southern Ukrainian city of Odesa came under cruise missile attack yesterday -- including Russia's new hypersonic Kinzhal missiles -- destroyed two hotels, a shopping center and a warehouse. Only one dead, five hospitalized, per Ukrainian officials! 

The EVIL UN's CORRUPT World Health Organization "verified" 200 attacks on SO-CALLED "health care facilities" in Ukraine since Russia’s invasion. 

Sleazy President Sleepy Joe Biden called on Congress to pass "immediately" a nearly $40 billion Ukrainian aid bill, warning that existing aid will run out in "approximately ten days." SMH! The House of SO-CALLED Representatives to consider the aid package today, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (MALE DEMOCRAT, 82 years-old) said. 

(CNN) 2.2M barrels per day of crude oil to be cut off to Europe if the EVIL EU bans Russian oil imports, per the International Energy Agency. Europe tryna wean itself off Russia’s oil, Middle Eastern nations seem the only producers with enough capacity to compensate for the shortfall. Oil analysts caution that the region may not be able to come to Europe's rescue.

SUBSIDIZING THE TRIFLING MAKES MORE OF THEM!

(TheSkimm) High-speed internet: Yesterday, the Sleepy Biden admin revealed 48 million QUOTE-UNQUOTE "low-income" households will get access (COMMIE BUZZWORD) to lowered costs for high-speed internet. Part of last year’s “Bipartisan” (EVIL) Infrastructure Law (INFRASTRUCTURE A COMMUNIST BUZZWORD, FACT), 20 internet providers agreed to either increase speeds or cut prices to $30 a month for “poor” households that qualify. Sleepy President Biden says high-speed internet is a “necessity” and the new plan will be fast enough for a family of four to work from home and do schoolwork at the same time.

Mixed Chilean-American NYT female “journalist,” DC-born Andrea Elliott won for “Invisible Child: Poverty, Survival and Hope in New York City” — a SUPPOSEDLY nonfiction book about a young black girl growing up amid NYC LIBERAL-made homeless crisis. Dasani must guide her siblings through a world riddled by hunger, violence, racism (NO SUCH THING), drug addiction, and the threat of foster care… “an astonishing story about the power of resilience, the importance of family and the cost of inequality.” (Amazon) 

41yo Joshua Cohen (not a Christian) won the fiction prize for “The Netanyahus” — based loosely on the father of Israel’s former PM BASED Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu (fiction about real people, ok). 

And the corrupt Amazon-Jeff-Bezos blog Washington COMPost (whose mission statement is to kill America in Darkness, they falsely call it “Democracy,” very fake news) won the big journalism Pulitzer award for its coverage of the Jan 6 insurrection.

…Oh and, Tony Award noms spread the love far and wide, with no one show getting all the buzz. That's showbiz, baby.

FAKE CONTROVERSY REMINDING YOU ABOUT DEAD BABIES

(TheSkimm) What had people more stumped than usual… Wordle. (Wordle is a web-based word game created and developed by Welsh software engineer Josh Wardle, and owned and published by The Failing New York Slimes Company since 2022, per Wikipedia. Players have six attempts to guess a five-letter word, with feedback given for each guess in the form of colored tiles indicating when letters match or occupy the correct position.)

Yesterday, some users got the answer "fetus" — prompting a statement from The New York Times. The Times, which acquired Wordle earlier this year, said that this was not intentional — and that the word had been programmed into the game over a year ago. Apparently, the Times had tried to change the word last week but the tech made it hard to change.

BABY FORMULA

(Morning Brew) Retailers are capping baby formula sales in response to the severe shortages. Walgreens and CVS have limited shoppers nationwide to three formula products per purchase, while Target is allowing four per online order. Some parents said they’ve had to travel out of state to find formula or have faced 1–2 month wait times on sites like Amazon.

NOT READ: Tracking down baby formula in the US right now makes snagging a PS5 look like an Easter egg hunt in an empty parking lot. Almost 40% of formula brands were sold out during the last week of April, a massive jump from the 2%–8% in early 2021, according to Datasembly.

And no, there weren’t that many pandemic babies. Several factors have parents scrambling to feed their babies, including (say it with us) Covid-era supply chain issues and a top manufacturer’s recall in February.

Abbott Nutrition recalled four brands of powdered formula, including Similac, made at a facility in Michigan and paused production after the formulas were connected to the death of two infants. The FDA is still investigating the facility and has yet to give the shutdown an end date.
