OTHER NEWS: Profiting from Injustice
I heard that a quarter of a billion dollars every year goes out from NYC to pay off settlements over fake police brutality lawsuits. I have NOT confirmed this.
Fake Philly controversy
Female city councilman Jamie Gauthier tweeted a statement kissing up to Walter Wallace Jr.
(Revolver/WSJ) Philly city council to vote on tear gas ban after cutting police funding by $33M…
Anthony Fitzhugh, a cousin of the deceased, told the Philadelphia Inquirer that a family member called for help because 27-year-old Walter Wallace Jr., who suffered from bipolar disorder, was having a mental episode. Officers had already responded to Wallace’s house twice on Monday, the Inquirer reports.
Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw reported that a police sergeant was hospitalized with a broken leg after she was “intentionally run over” by someone driving a pickup truck. Rioters threw stones and bricks, and some 30 officers sustained injuries. The agitators looted businesses, and officers arrested 91 people, including three for assaulting police and 76 for burglary.
….After RIOTS this summer, the City Council reduced police funding by more than $33 million. Later this week the council is expected to vote on a bill that would permanently ban tear gas, pepper spray and other less-than-lethal weapons during protests.
Philadelphia’s progressive district attorney Larry Krasner (THANKS GEORGE SOROS) has claimed that “policing and prosecution are both systemically racist.”*
George Soros / Larry Krasner
(The Street, Mish talk) How George Soros Corrupted Philadelphia's Justice System
Thanks to George Soros, Larry Krasner was elected District Attorney in Philadelphia. Krasner is Self-Proclaimed Social Justice Warrior.
Consider the case of Michael White, a 22-year-old black college student who admitted killing Sean Schellenger, white. Numerous witnesses and a cellphone video confirmed what happened.
Krasner initially charged White with first-degree murder and denied his request for bail. But under pressure from leaders in Philadelphia’s African-American community, Mr. Krasner downgraded the charge to third-degree murder. Then, days before the trial, Mr. Krasner dropped the murder charge entirely.
White was then acquitted. How's that for justice?
