The scenes were part of a wealth of video played in court that captured the chaos and the repeated sound of gunfire on the night the 17-year-old aspiring police officer fired an assault-style rifle during a tumultuous demonstration against police brutality in the summer of 2020.

In the courtroom, Rittenhouse — seated in the jurors’ line of sight — kept his eyes fixed on a desktop screen and showed no emotion as video depicted him walking down a street with his rifle and shooting at protesters, people scattering and screaming. 

FUNNY JOKE

(NPR, Nov 4, by Becky Sullivan -- becsully on Twitter) The juror, a retired white man, made the joke to a court police officer as the officer escorted him to his car on Wednesday afternoon. The officer reported the joke to Judge Bruce Schroeder.

Called before the judge and lawyers on Thursday morning, the juror confirmed that he made the joke but declined to repeat it.

"It was my understanding it was something along the lines of, 'Why did the Kenosha police shoot Jacob Blake seven times?'" said prosecutor Thomas Binger. "It's my understanding that the rest of the joke is: 'Because they ran out of bullets.' "

Blake, who was 29 years old at the time, was shot seven times in the back (FAKE NEWS) by Rusten Sheskey, a white Kenosha police officer, outside an apartment building on Aug. 23, 2020. Police had been called to the building by a woman who had previously filed a sexual assault complaint against Blake. Blake was left paralyzed from the waist down. Both police and Blake acknowledge he was holding a knife, though Blake says he was moving to place it in his car after it fell from his pants.

JACOB BLAKE: THE REAL STORY

(Wikipedia) Sheskey shot Blake in the back, firing seven times inflicting multiple wounds when Blake opened the driver's door to an SUV and leaned into it. Sheskey said that he believed he was about to be stabbed.  Earlier during the encounter, Blake had been tasered and had scuffled [i.e. FOUGHT] with officers.

(Blake had a warrant for his arrest from July, based on charges of third-degree sexual assault, trespassing, and disorderly conduct in connection with domestic abuse.)

A bystander who recorded a video of the incident told reporters that he heard police yelling "drop the knife". The bystander also stated, "I didn't see any weapons in his hands; he wasn't being violent". The police union says that Blake was armed with a knife in his left hand, but officers did not initially see it, and he "forcefully fought with the officers, including putting one of [them] in a headlock", while ignoring orders to drop the knife. "Based on the inability to gain compliance and control after using verbal, physical and less-lethal means, the officers drew their firearms," the police union added.

After an initial scuffle, Blake walked to the driver's side of a vehicle, followed by officer Rusten Sheskey and another officer with handguns drawn. Sheskey attempted to grab Blake, and when Blake opened the driver's side door and leaned in, Sheskey grabbed him and fired seven shots towards Blake's back. According to Blake's attorney, four of the shots hit Blake.

Blake later admitted that he "wasn't thinking clearly" and picked up a knife during the altercation, although he denied having the intent to use it. SMH!

 Michael Eric Dyson: White Parents Shouldn’t Have A Say In The Classroom Because White People Were ‘Participants’ In ‘Oppression’ 

(Daily Caller) Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, a Reverend and professor at Vanderbilt University, told the co-hosts of “The View” that he believes white parents should not condemn Critical Race Theory-inspired lessons because white people “have been participants in a particular problem of oppression.” 

During a promotional interview for his latest book “Entertaining Race,” Dyson said that Republicans have neatly “package[d] up” CRT into a boogeyman for parents. The Reverend argued that CRT — in its original form of collegiate level studies — is far less menacing than parents believe it is.

“Critical race theory is trying to find out the conditions that we need to be rescued from as human beings,” Dyson said. “It’s [used] to look at not individuals but institutions.”

Co-host Ana Navarro told viewers that critical race theory is not being taught in K-12 schools nationwide. Co-host Sonny Hostin called the pushback against CRT a “manufactured culture war” and is a “rollback of history in our classrooms.”

“Parents and school boards are weaponizing critical race theory as this parents’ rights issue, that their children will be made to feel bad, that children will be called oppressors and black children will be called oppressed people,” Hostin said. “The discussion of race and slavery don’t have any place in the classroom at that age.”

When asked about race-based teachings, including segregating kids by race or asking them to identify their privilege, Dyson argued that white people should not be telling people how to relieve racism in the classroom because they were once participants in oppression.

“You can’t just ask white brothers and sisters who have been participants in a particular problem of oppression how to relieve it,” Dyson said. “White comfort cannot be the predicate for making sure that race is a strategy that shouldn’t be used.”

May 28: Teen, 15, wearing a skirt allegedly rapes female classmate in girl's bathroom. She reports it to the principal. Superintendent Scott Ziegler sends an email to colleagues confirming that it had been reported

June 22: Scott Smith, the father of the rape victim, was dragged out of a school board meeting with a bloodied mouth and arrested after listening to school officials say no one had been sexually assaulted in the bathroom after his daughter had reported the rape

July 6: Detectives call the boy's mother to report his imminent arrest. She drives him down to the station herself and he spends the next couple weeks at the juvenile detention center in nearby Leesburg

October 6: The 15-year-old changes schools and allegedly drags another a girl into a classroom and inappropriately touches her. Police are called and he is arrested the same day

October 25: Teen is found guilty for the May 28 sexual assault at Stone Bridge High School. The judge 'substantiated' charges of forcible sodomy and forcible fellatio, the juvenile equivalent of a conviction 

October 26: Students stage a walkout of their classrooms in a show of 'solidarity' for the victim. Some stood in front of their school, chanting: 'Loudoun County Protects Rapists!' 

November 15: Skirt-wearing teen will be sentenced
