NCAA B-Ball Star: Meds, Fiancée Calmed Him Down from "Anxiety." ("JLP News," Weds., Apr. 10, 2019)

(Drudge) BIBI SURVIVES! (Times of Israel) With almost all votes in, Netanyahu-led right wins decisively. So he’s in the Likud party, which won 35 seats in parliament, beating out Benny Gantz’s Blue and White party by 14,000 votes — they also got 35 seats. But five other right-wing and ultra-Orthadox parties got 30 seats combined to support Netanyahu with 65 of the 120 Parliamentary seats. 4 leftwing and arab parties got just 20 seats to help the main Blue and White party. So he’ll get his HISTORIC 5TH TERM (Reuters) He is facing a possible corruption indictment. Gantz his challenger is supposedly “Centrist” (probably means pretty liberal). Netanyahu highlighted his close relationship with Trump. Israelis were happy and Palestinians mad that Trump recognized Israel’s capital as Jerusalem, and moved the US Embassy there. Two weeks before the election Trump also recognized Israeli sovereignty over the occupied Golan Heights captured from Syria in the 1967 Middle East war.
(Drudge) Mayor Pete attracting praise -- from conservatives… (Not good conservatives, I can’t imagine…) (Politico) He’s called the Green New Deal a “sound framework” for confronting climate change. He’s called for abolishing the Electoral College and has endorsed the idea of single-payer healthcare. And he’s openly homosexual. He got compliments from his CNN town hall performance. Ben Shapiro called Buttigieg “nice and refreshing” for his willingness to engage the other side, but he’s almost certainly voting for Trump, but at least he doesn’t think “everyone who disagrees with him is a bad person.” (He’s the bad person!) New York Times columnist David Brooks described Buttigieg as “smart, modest and self-effacing.” Gingrich said he “may be the unknown outsider who grows into authenticity.” Limbaugh said he saw “no radicalism” in the “personable” candidate, who would “make mincemeat” of opponents in debate. No radicalism? He’s a radical homosexual! He’s an indoctrinated liberal, trashed Christians for supporting Trump.
The unlikely rise… (New Statesman says) Buttigieg seems like someone who could embody the perfect antidote to the Trump era (meaning instead of an old school alpha male, they have a nice white BETA MALE). He just seems so gosh-darned Midwest wholesome (talking about meeting his homosexual “husband” on a dating app, yah. Not fooled).
(Drudge) BORDER BATTLE INTENSIFIES… (USA Today) Another Dept. of Homeland Security official is leaving. Claire Grady, the department's undersecretary of management and the second in line to lead, has offered her resignation, effective Wednesday (today), according to outgoing DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen. Trump had said Kevin McAleenan, commissioner of CBP (Customs & Border Protection) would take over. Nielsen said Clair Grady served DoD and DHS for 28 years with "excellence and distinction." (Can’t be that excellent though... look at the border?) As I mentioned, a projected 100,000+ CAUGHT IN MONTH? A 12-year record.
UNIVISION Anchor Tells Agents: Learn to Dodge Rocks… rather than ask for a wall? (Breitbart) Univision anchor Enrique Acevedo appeared Monday on Fox News with Martha McCallum — is it worth $25 billion to keep people 100, 200, 300 yards away from the border to throwing rocks at agents on the other side when you just do this [Acevedo then physically ducked out of camera range].
Militia vow to patrol until 'wall is up'... (AFP News) In the southeasternmost pocket of the US state of New Mexico, with El Paso, Texas, to the east and Mexico a stone's throw south, there is a small camp: a few tents and a weathered trailer. A half dozen or so members of the United Constitutional Patriots (UCP) -- a small but well-armed militia dipping their toes into the US border vigilante movement.
FIRST HOUR:
Heavy winds last night like 90 goin’ north.
Most people are traumatized in the homes, and then all kinds of things happen in the fallen state — insecurity, doubt, worry, concern of what others think, other people can make you feel bad or good — and you blame them for bringing out what’s already there. You’re already in a traumatized state. Controlled by your imagination, lying, stealing, desire for power and wealth, to control others. Human beings fighting like they didn’t come from the same God. But God is not your God in that fallen state.
Jesse tells story of a murder by a father Jacob Munn of his child’s mother at a custody exchange outside a Hawthorne, CA police station. When you are wrong, do wrong, wrong comes back on you.
TOP OF SECOND HOUR NEWS: Weds., Apr. 10, 2019 –
(Drudge) Canada to reject refugees at USA border… (BBC) Canada intends to change the law to make it harder for asylum seekers rejected by countries like the US to file refugee claims at the border. An influx of asylum seekers crossing at the US-Canada border has become a hot button political issue. Some 20,000 asylum seekers crossed at the US-Canada border in 2018, many of whom had already made refugee claims in the US. There are over 200,000 pending asylum claims, and the wait for hearings by Canada's refugee board have edged up to an average of 20 months. Amendments were introduced on Monday evening in the Liberal government's 392-page omnibus budget bill. Sounds not much different from America.
(BBC) Kyle Guy is a Basketball star praised for his candour on his battle with anxiety. At the end of the NCAA college basketball final, fans of the Virginia Cavaliers celebrated their team's victory over Texas Tech. 21-year-old Virginia star player Kyle Guy has spoken openly about living with crippling anxiety, and the pressure that comes with being in the public eye. Now they call him “inspirational.” Guy was voted Final Four Most Outstanding Player, and scored the deciding three free throws in the high-pressure closing moments of the semi-final game.
(I know a guy who used to throw up before high school basketball games. He was pretty talented too. Very competitive. A little hot-headed. Huh.)
In April last year Guy published a confessional letter addressed to himself, detailing his struggle with mental health and the pressure to perform. "Not everyone knows, but you've been taking medication for your anxiety attacks all season. You've kept it a secret because you didn't want to be viewed as weak," he wrote in a post on Facebook. "They weren't with you when you burst into tears in the middle of practice and you didn't know why. And despite that, you kept pushing. They weren't there every time your fiancé [sic] helped calm you down night after night when the pressure seemed to consume you, but you kept pushing. They don't understand you couldn't smile through the latter half of the season because the anxiety and pressure was eating at you, but you still kept pushing." (OHHH NOOOOO!)
A few weeks later Virginia suffered a shock defeat, and he got death threats! So he wrote a follow-up letter: "I was hit with an overwhelming feeling of sadness, anxiety, and failure... I went on to sit in the showers and cry alone," he wrote.
So now the basketball star has become an ambassador for mental health awareness in college sport and, thanks to support from his doctor and family, says his anxiety is under control. (Kyle Guy appears white, his fiancée Alexa Jenkins looks black BTW.)
(Drudge) Dalai Lama hospitalized with chest infection… (Daily Mail) 83-y-o Tibetan Buddhist “spiritual leader” was rushed 300 mi to a New Delhi, India hospital Tuesday. He lives in exile in the northern Indian hill town of Dharamshala. He is seen by the Chinese as a threat to their sovereignty in Tibet. He fled to India in early 1959 (when he was what, 23?) after a failed uprising against Chinese rule.
Many of the up to 100,000 Tibetans living in India are worried that their fight for a genuinely autonomous homeland would end with the Dalai Lama.
He said last month that it was possible that once he dies his incarnation could be found in India, and warned that any other successor named by China would not be respected. (What the heck?)
China, which took control of Tibet in 1950, brands the Nobel peace laureate a dangerous separatist and has said its leaders have the right to approve the Dalai Lama's successor, as a legacy inherited from China's emperors. (I don’t get it.)
TOP OF THIRD HOUR NEWS: Weds., Apr. 10th, 2019 —
(Drudge) Breaking the internet: New regulations imperil global network… (AFP) Increasingly, moves by governments to filter and restrict content are threatening to fragment the system created with the promise of connecting the world with a largely unified body of content. China for years has walled off some western services, and other regulations (maybe the EU?) are causing problems. This is leading to a "splinternet," a term circulated for a decade or more. The New Zealand Christchurch mosques massacre live-streamed online heightened the sense of urgency in some countries, with debates in the US and EU on curbing incitement to violence. A new Australian law could jail social media executives for failing to take down violent extremist content quickly. (SMH!) And a proposal unveiled in Britain could make executives personally liable for harmful content posted on social platforms. Similar ideas have been discussed by lawmakers in Washington. (RIDICULOUS. What’s “harmful” content??)
Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg has called for a "common global framework" of internet rules.
Singapore wants to ban "fake news." Just censorship, some say.
One guy says the European Union's General Protection Data Regulation, supposedly aimed at improving online privacy & protecting creators, "has been a major milestone in splintering the internet" — numerous websites including news sites cut off from Europe. The EU is EVIL!
(Drudge) BERNIE admits: I'm Millionaire Now… (Daily Mail) He announced he’s going to release ten years of tax returns, and says: 'If you write a best-selling book, you can be a millionaire too!' so he told The Times. (Shut up!) His stupid book is ‘Our Revolution.’ He said his tax returns would be boring, just like his book. (My analysis: He’s just trying to sell his dumb book and pressure Trump to release his tax returns so Dems can scrutinize him and make up more stuff about him.)
The Week MAGAZINE tells: Why socialism gaining popularity in America… 3 reasons: 1. Leaders are paving the way for a second massive economic crisis within a generation. 2. It is becoming more and more difficult for the average American to live life sustainably. (That’s kinda because of socialism & open borders, dummies!) 3. The party of capitalism put Donald Trump in the White House. I see! They’re BETA MALES and BETA FEMALES.
(Drudge) $4 Gas Returns in California… (KTLA) US gasoline prices are growing across the country, particularly in the west. It’s over $3 in CA, HI, WA, OR, NV, and AK. Four-dollar gas is the average in San Luis Obispo and Mono counties. American sanctions on Iran and Venezuela and fighting in Libya have combined with a cutback on oil production by OPEC nations to drive up the price of oil.
(Drudge) AG Barr Reveals 4 Areas of Redaction of Mueller Report… (Mediaite) He spelled out what he’s hiding from the public: “First is grand jury information…The second is info that... would reveal intelligence sources and methods. The third are info... in the report that could interfere with ongoing prosecutions…. And finally... information that implicated the privacy or reputational interest of peripheral players where there is a decision not to charge them.” (Sounds reasonable!) FRIDAY NIGHT DUMP? (Daily Mail) He actually says he’ll release it next week, we’ll see, I guess. Dems were all mad about his 4-page summary last month, that said that Mueller found no evidence Trump or his campaign conspired with the Russian government during the campaign, and that there wasn’t enough evidence to charge him with obstruction. (NBC News) He says he WILL be 'Reviewing conduct' of FBI… and the investigation.
(Drudge) Chinese woman arrested at Mar-a-Lago accused of lying, not spying. Did she really lie? (Miami Herald) The prosecutor’s most quotable statement at a federal court hearing Monday for the Chinese intruder detained after showing up unannounced at President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club: “She lies to everyone she encounters.” Yuijing Zhang, the 33-year-old Chinese woman arrested March 30, actually paid to attend an event at the club that day. She had a malware-infected thumb drive, and other stuff. National security experts said Zhang’s effort to attend an event at Mar-a-Lago could also be part of a cover story planned in advance by a foreign intelligence agency.
