(CNN) A new virus in China is threatening to become a pandemic. A deadly virus spreading through China has killed six and sickened almost 300 (291 specifically), kicking off nationwide containment efforts and stoking anxieties in the medical community. This strain of coronavirus was first noticed in China in December, but initially, scientists didn't think it could be passed between humans. Now, they know it can. Chinese officials have canceled Lunar New Year celebrations (that is, Chinese New Year), and tour agencies are banned from taking groups out of Wuhan, the central Chinese city where the virus was first detected. More thermal monitors (?) and screening areas will be added in public spaces. The Wuhan coronavirus, like other viruses of its type, doesn't respond to vaccination and can lead to pneumonia. It's related to SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome), which killed 774 and sickened 8,000 across Asia in 2002 and 2003. (Drudge & AP) They sold out of face masks.
Wanna hear something dumb? (CNN) The New York Times made history by endorsing Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar (THE MEAN ONE, ALLEGEDLY) for the Democratic presidential nomination. Endorsements from high-profile newspapers can be hit or miss. In this case, it could offer a firm response to voters wondering if a woman can win against President Trump (PLEASE!). Dumb people online (MY WORDS) are celebrating Joe Biden's so-called "elevator moment.". A video of Biden taking a selfie with a black supporter in an elevator on the way up to his endorsement interview with the paper (which he obviously didn't get) has been shared hundreds of thousands of times on social media.
HERE’S ANOTHER DUMB QUOTE: “Look, I have this firm belief that if America hasn't broken your heart, you don't love her enough.” That’s Sen. Cory Booker blabbering, when asked during a New York Times interview if there was anyone who had ever broken his heart. The interview was conducted in December, before Booker ended his presidential campaign. THANK GOD THAT’S OVER.
Wanna hear something even more ridiculous, and evil? (CNN) CLIMATE CRISIS! The evil United Nations' Human Rights Committee (communist outfit, amiright?) has ruled that refugees fleeing the effects of climate change cannot be sent home by their adoptive countries. This landmark decision gives new legal power to displaced people around the world and squarely positions the so-called climate crisis (WHICH I’M SKEPTICAL EXISTS) as a humanitarian issue (ISN’T THAT CONVENIENT!). News of the ruling comes as global leaders gather in Davos, Switzerland, for the annual World Economic Forum. This year's focus at the forum is climate change, and Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg took the stage today to admonish world leaders for doing "basically nothing" to reduce carbon emissions. GO BACK TO SCHOOL, GRETA!
Speaking of corruption and incompetence… (CNN) Protesters in Puerto Rico are demanding the resignation of Gov. Wanda Vázquez after the discovery of a warehouse filled with supplies thought to be from 2017's Hurricane Maria. Vázquez fired three members of her Cabinet after the discovery, including the director of Puerto Rico's Office of Emergency Management and the secretaries of family services and housing. Officials began distributing the Hurricane Maria supplies yesterday. The island's Department of Justice will be investigating how the supplies ended up languishing for years while citizens on the island struggled. DUHHH! NO MENTION FROM CNN ABOUT HOW TRUMP WAS RIGHT! AT LEAST NOT IN THIS SUMMARY!

Jesse talks about how Trump is making things better. He covers footage of Mexico in which migrants are being pushy. The president of Mexico, some long name Obrador, offered jobs to them.
Michael from England, first-time caller, asks about anxiety, specifically around girls his age. He’s 17. Jesse tells him to watch his thoughts. They’re not true. He forgave his mother, I think.

(Bloomberg article, shared by MSN) Slayings, often fueled by the nation’s drug cartels, climbed to 34,582, compared with 33,743 a year earlier. Drug traffickers pose a shared threat to the U.S. and Mexico. Murders in the Latin American nation are often carried out with weapons smuggled in from the U.S. (THANKS, OBAMA!). Meanwhile, American overdose deaths, from drugs that frequently originate in or travel through Mexico, surged to about 70,000 annually in recent years, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Two high-profile episodes late last year focused attention on Mexico’s security challenge. In October, Lopez Obrador’s security cabinet decided to release the captured son of kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman to avoid a firefight and bloodshed between authorities and criminals that the government worried would affect civilians. In November, nine members of a Mormon family with dual American-Mexican citizenship were killed in an attack by cartel gunmen.
President Donald Trump has pushed Mexico to do more to confront drug gangs, calling for the nations together to “wage war” on the cartels. In November he floated classifying them as terrorist organizations. In December, after a visit to Mexico City by U.S. Attorney General William Barr, Trump said he was holding off “temporarily” on the proposal at the request of Lopez Obrador.

Jesse covers a little bit of the pro-gun rally in Virginia. Stupid media talked about a threat of violence from so-called “white supremacists.” The layout of the story and clips in the packet leaves Jesse confused, so he doesn’t cover the story entirely, but gives a good monologue about it.
Tracy from Scottsdale, AZ, first-time caller, talks about forgiving her mother and being born again. She’s 56. Her mother was in the camps allegedly, she said. She mentions Jesse’s “stripper” guest on The Fallen State. Her husband talked to his parents too. She stayed with her mother for a month, and was so glad to be back with her husband. Her mother still has feminist and sexual liberation ideas. Her mother’s happy to blame her dad, but not looking at herself. She says Jesse’s right about women’s fake love. She’s happy to hear young guys waking up.

(Drudge) Caravan of 3,000 Tests Mexico’s Pact With Trump… to stop migrants. (Bloomberg via MSN) For the first time since Mexico began its full-scale crackdown against migrants, a caravan is clashing with Mexican security forces at the country’s southern border. After being turned away at a bridge crossing, hundreds of members waded across a shallow river on Monday from the Guatemalan side into Mexico. Later in the day, migrants could be seen throwing objects at Mexican National Guard troops who were repelling them, according to media footage. One video showed women and children caught up in the clash. (OH NO, WOMEN AND CHILDREN! DEPORT!)
Mexico faced generalized tariff threats from Trump last year if it didn’t slow the number of Central American migrants reaching the U.S. In response, President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador sent thousands of National Guard troops to Mexico’s southern and northern borders, helping bring down the number of crossings dramatically from a peak last spring.
Over the weekend, Mexican National Guard troops had shut the gates of a border bridge to prevent caravan members from entering and used pepper spray to keep them at bay. But that didn’t stop some from crossing the river. On Friday, before the clashes, Lopez Obrador had promised caravan members jobs. “We have more than 4,000 jobs available at the southern border,” he said. More than 1,000 migrants opted for that path over the weekend and were transported to Mexican immigration centers for processing.
But so-called immigrant rights groups warned that they may just have been rounded up in order to be deported. The Mexican government issued a statement Sunday that most of the 1,087 migrants it received from the border in Chiapas and Tabasco will be returned to their countries “should the situation merit it.”
(Drudge) Authorities see a spike in unaccompanied minors… (San Diego Tribune) Human rights advocates (WHOM WE NEED TO DEPORT) and social workers in Tijuana (ALSO SOME OF THE WORST PEOPLE) worry about sexual exploitation and trafficking of migrant children after policy changes. Valeria Ruiz, the new director of Casa YMCA, the only shelter in Tijuana for under-aged migrants, said, “About 80 percent of the kids we receive here are Mexicans, girls and boys and adolescents, between the ages of 12 and 17 who are deported from the United States and they arrive every morning.”
Like thousands of other children in recent years, they’ve traveled to the border from south Mexico without their parents, and they were caught trying to cross into the United States.
Typically, U.S. immigration authorities process unaccompanied Mexican minors and release them to Mexican authorities. Then, the kids wait in one of the most dangerous cities in the world to be reunited with their families. It’s a growing trend that has human rights advocates and child welfare workers in Tijuana alarmed. I DON’T CARE WHAT THEY SAY!
In the San Diego Sector, across the border from Tijuana, there has been a 40 percent increase in the number of unaccompanied Mexican children trying to cross the border alone and undetected, during the first quarter of this fiscal year compared to the previous quarter, according to the U.S. Border Patrol.
Unlike unaccompanied minors in the Migrant Protection Protocols program, U.S. border authorities are able to deport these kids back to Mexico because they are not making an asylum claim.
In 2005, nearly 5,000 Mexican minors were deported back. That was a high. Supposedly 1,573 unaccompanied Mexican minors were returned to Mexico or “repatriated to the national territory” in 2019 through Baja California ports of entry — a 19 percent increase compared to 2018 and an 84 percent increase compared to 2017.

Jesse asks if she was trying to control him or nagging… Were you trying to be mama? “Probably.” She was a stay-at-home mom but would ask him to do stuff or something. Now it’s hard. She works 2 jobs, and didn’t work before. Her son is 17. Her daughter is getting older. It sucks not having a man there. It’s almost 5 years now. She doesn’t want to bring another man in. She says she forgave her mother, but thinks her ex-husband needs to go and forgive his. Jesse tells her she has not forgiven her mother. Her mother broke her down, and didn’t let her speak. She’s 36. Jesse asks her: Do you think it’s normal to be afraid of your mother? Even her kids are scared of her. She says that her ex-husband is like the woman in the relationship, so emotional, and she tells him to calm down. But she doesn’t have the right to judge him! That’s why he doesn’t want to go to church with her, because she’s a hypocrite.
