Coronavirus: Are People Dying in the Streets in China? (Hake News, Fri. 1/24/20)

1. (CNN) There's a new rule on Wall Street: Goldman Sachs says it won't take companies public anymore unless they have at least one woman (or "diverse" member) on their board. OK THAT CONVINCED ME. GOLDMAN SACHS IS PURE EVIL! 

2. (CNN) As of early this morning, House managers have roughly 7 hours and 53 minutes left to make their opening arguments in the boring fake impeachment trial, and today they'll push the second so-called article of impeachment: obstruction of Congress. The trial will likely continue into the weekend, with Trump's lawyers expected to begin their opening arguments tomorrow (ON THE SABBATH?), then pick back up Monday. 

3. (CNN) The Wuhan coronavirus: the evil UN World Health Organization (WHO) says it's not yet a public health emergency of international concern (THEN WHY ARE WE ALL CONCERNED?). It is an emergency in China and could continue to spread globally. Dozens of people have now died from the disease (up from 17 reported yesterday). Beijing and Shanghai have activated their highest level emergency responses; 10 Chinese cities are under travel restrictions. Medical staff in Wuhan are struggling with the outbreak. On social media, people claimed that hospitals turned away the sick due to overcrowding; feverish patients pack wards; they’re doing screening and quarantine procedures. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) raised its travel advisory for Wuhan to its highest level, urging travelers to avoid all nonessential trips to the city. THAT SHOULD BE OBVIOUS. 

4. (CNN) Hundreds of thousands of protesters are marching through Baghdad today to call for an end to US troop presence in Iraq. The "Million Man March," as it's being called (THAT SOUNDS LIKE LOUIS FARRAKHAN NONSENSE), was invoked by a powerful Shia cleric, Muqtada al-Sadr, in response to a growing number of rocket attacks in the area stemming from the conflict earlier this month between the US and Iran. Many Iraqis saw the US rocket attack in Baghdad that killed an Iranian general, Qasem Soleimani, as a breach of their country's sovereignty. (I HEARD SOME CALL TRUMP DADDY AND LOVED IT!) Iraq's parliament voted to expel the US military from the country following the attack (FINE WITH ME!), but the Trump administration has shown no intention of removing the roughly 5,000 troops stationed there (C. 

5. (President Trump is speaking at March for Life (big pro-life rally), but CNN doesn’t wanna talk about that, because CNN supports abortion.) 

6. (CNN) The United Nations' top court has ordered the Southeast Asian country of Myanmar to prevent acts of genocide against its persecuted Rohingya minority. Myanmar's government and military are facing charges of "genocidal acts" against the Muslim minority group, and this ruling acts as a kind of injunction while the larger case gets underway. As part of the order, Myanmar must also preserve evidence that could play a part in the case. So far, the country's leaders have defended themselves by saying any human rights violations don't necessarily amount to genocide. Human rights groups and a UN fact-finding commission tasked with investigating atrocities in Myanmar disagree. More than 740,000 Rohingya fled Myanmar in 2016 and 2017, and reports from survivors detailed gang rape, mass killings, torture and widespread destruction of property by the country's military forces. 

Hour 2, Friday, January 24, 2020 - 

1. (Drudge) Trump set to attend 'March for Life'... breaking precedent as far-left Reuters points out! Republicans Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush both delivered remarks remotely, like Trump did last year. “See you on Friday ... Big Crowd!” Trump tweeted. Reuters claims: “About 58% of American adults say abortion should be legal in most or all cases, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll last year.” 

   1. Reuters also says, QUOTE: “Opponents cite religious beliefs to declare it immoral, while abortion-rights activists say the procedure is protected by a constitutional guarantee that gives women control over their bodies and futures.” RIDICULOUS! 

   2. In 2019, Twenty-five bans on various types of abortions were signed into law, according to the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute (they call it “reproductive rights,” evil organization), although many have not taken effect because of pending legal challenges. Conservatives want the Supreme Court to review its ridiculous anti-science Roe v. Wade decision. In Roe v. Wade, the court found that certain state laws outlawing abortion were an unconstitutional violation of a woman’s right to privacy, effectively legalizing abortion nationwide. 

   3. Trump USED to be “very pro-choice,” but changed. He suggested that his Supreme Court justices would strike down Roe v Wade. 

   4. In June, the Supreme Court is expected to rule on a case that could drastically limit doctors’ ability to provide abortions in Louisiana, a Republican stronghold state. The case will test the willingness of the court to uphold Republican-backed abortion restrictions pursued in numerous conservative states.

2. (Drudge) Trump Threatens California Over Abortion-Coverage Requirement…  The Trump administration is planning on Friday to announce action against California over its requirement that insurers cover abortions, according to two anonymous sources.

   1. The administration is expected to say that California’s requirement violates a federal law banning government entities that get federal money from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) from discriminating against health-care organizations because they don’t provide abortion or abortion coverage, the two people said. RIGHT ON! 

3. (Drudge) SOROS says: FACEBOOK Conspiring to Re-Elect… Trump! And the  'Fate of world' at stake… (Bloomberg via Yahoo) -- Billionaire George Soros said that nothing is keeping Facebook Inc. from spreading disinformation and the company may be in cahoots with President Donald Trump to get him re-elected. QUOTE: “I think there is a kind of informal mutual assistance operation or agreement developing between Trump and Facebook,” Soros, 89, said Thursday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. “Facebook will work together to re-elect Trump, and Trump will work to protect Facebook so that this situation cannot be changed and it makes me very concerned about the outcome for 2020.” 

   1. Soros didn’t offer any evidence for his claim. “This is just plain wrong,” Facebook spokesman Andy Stone said in response. Soros has used his annual Davos speech as a platform to criticize the social media giant in the past. In 2018, he compared Facebook to a gambling company that fosters addiction among users, and last year reiterated the need to regulate technology firms. JEALOUS! 

   2. Liberals are mad at FB for allowing Trump and others to run ads and share videos that tell the truth about Joe Biden, Democrats, Nancy Pelosi, and others. 

   3. (CNBC) Soros told the gathering that Chinese President Xi Jinping is “trying to exploit Trump’s weaknesses.” He also accused Xi of using “artificial intelligence to have total control of his people.” And while Soros did not discuss the Democratic presidential primary, in which he has yet to make an endorsement, he said the 2020 election will not just determine the relationship between Trump and Xi, but the “fate of the world.”

   4. Soros the Democrat megadonor has a net worth of just over $8 billion; he made his comments at a private annual dinner set amid a conference known for featuring elite business and political leaders. 

   5. Is a Trump win more of a long shot than a slam dunk? That’s what LARA M. BROWN thinks, in her OPINION piece for The Hill. YEAH PEOPLE WERE TRYING TO CALL OBAMA A ONE-TERM PRESIDENT TOO! 

 Hour 3, Friday, January 24, 2020 - 

1. (Drudge) LGBTQ education now mandatory in New Jersey schools… EVIL NJ! (Philadelphia Inquirer) For a high school history assignment on the Holocaust, teenage Olivia Loesch chose the pink triangle, used by the Nazis to persecute gay men in concentration camps and decades later a symbol of pride for the gay rights movement. “I never knew about it,” said Loesch, age 15, a sophomore at Haddon Heights High who came out in seventh grade and now identifies as gender-queer. “I feel that the topic should be talked about and people should know about me.” 

   1. Educators in her public school district — and 11 others in New Jersey — are now testing a pilot curriculum to include instruction about the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. Gov. Phil Murphy (DEMOCRAT) signed a law last year requiring New Jersey public schools to include LGBTQ-related instruction in lesson plans for middle and high schoolers statewide. The mandate takes effect statewide for the 2020-21 school year. DISGUSTING! 

   2. Garden State Equality, an advocacy group that pushed for the mandate, developed a model curriculum and selected districts to launch the first phase of the program. It started training teachers this month on how to promote inclusion across all subject areas. 

   3. In history class, for example, students could learn about the thousands of homosexual males supposedly put in Nazi concentration camps and forced to wear pink triangles or about other significant moments in the gay rights movement. Or about people such as the late Barbra “Babs” Siperstein, an activist who made history as the first openly gay transgender person to serve on the Democratic National Committee. She was also the namesake behind pioneering New Jersey legislation that allowed transgender people to amend their birth certificates. …. Or they could learn about Democrat presidential candidate Mayor Pete Buttigieg, who is homosexual and so-called “married” to a man. 

   4. “We are always looking to see what we need to do so that all students feel safe and welcomed in the environment,” said Ron Corn, one district’s curriculum director.

2. (Drudge) Infected seen dead in streets… of quarantined China Coronavirus city Wuhan. (Daily Star) Disturbing images of Wuhan residents dropping unresponsive to the floor have emerged on Instagram following the diseased Chinese city's coronavirus lockdown. Wuhan has been branded a “zombieland” by frantic locals after Chinese authorities told residents they are not allowed to leave yesterday morning.  Photos show medics patrol in hazmat suits and gas masks. DANG! In an upload direct from Wuhan, a man can be seen lying unresponsive on the floor as concerned individuals look on. WHOA. It appears as though the man was waiting in line for paperwork when he collapsed while wearing a disposable face mark for protection. The situation was witnessed by a line of six people but the incident does not seem isolated as other residents have posted images of the same scenario. 

   1. So far the coronavirus has taken the lives of at least 26 people with over 600 cases confirmed worldwide. Cases have been confirmed in China, Thailand, South Korea, Japan and the United States. Symptoms include a fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, it can cause pneumonia severe acute respiratory symptoms (like SARS), and kidney failure. It’s unclear how it started; yesterday we heard two types of venomous snakes, but the Chinese CDC guy said: "The Wuhan coronavirus’ natural host could be bats… but between bats and humans, there may be an unknown intermediate.” 

   2. (Wash. Post via LMT Online) A Healthy young man is among the victims… he was from Wuhan; he and a person living 1,500 miles from the epicenter of the coronavirus are among the latest victims of the outbreak. China has their Spring Festival coming up. It’s Chinese New Year tomorrow. (Some try to call it Lunar New Year.) 

   3. (Newsweek) PATIENTS TESTED IN CALIFORNIA, TEXAS…  patients who have recently returned from Wuhan, China, in Alameda County, California, and Brazos County, Texas.
