...TOTAL LIE, nothing “tough” about Democrats!

Listen to how shamelessly Reuters puts this:

“Barrett could be on the Supreme Court in time for the Nov. 10 arguments in a case in which Trump and Republican-led states are seeking to invalidate the 2010 Affordable Care Act, Democratic former President Barack Obama's signature domestic policy achievement that has enabled millions of Americans to obtain medical coverage.”

(IT ACTUALLY TOOK ACTUAL HEALTHCARE AND JOBS AWAY FROM AMERICANS, IT’S NOT AN ACHIEVEMENT. IT’S SOCIALISM.)

Barrett has criticized a 2012 Supreme Court ruling authored by conservative Chief Justice John Roberts that upheld the law, popularly known as Obamacare.

Extreme-left fake-objective journalist outlet Reuters writes:

Barrett, 48, would tilt the Supreme Court further to the right and give conservative justices a 6-3 majority, making even the unexpected victories on which liberals have prevailed in recent years, including abortion and gay rights, rarer still.

So they’re for baby killing and delusions.

Republicans have a 53-47 Senate majority, leaving Democrats with little to no chance of blocking Barrett's confirmation.

BTW: (NPR) In her pre-written opening statement (leaked on Sunday), she said that growing up, she had 6 siblings... And one time, while preparing for a grade-school spelling bee against a boy in her class… to boost her confidence, her dad sang, "Anything boys can do, girls can do better." PSH.

Hurricane Delta

(CNN) Hurricane Delta has taken its toll, leaving four dead and hundreds of thousands without power along the Gulf of Mexico. ANY IN AMERICA? THAT’S ALL I CARE ABOUT. IF THAT.

An 86-year-old man died after a fire started as he fueled a generator in a shed, Louisiana Democrat Gov. John Bel Edwards said Sunday. A 70-year-old woman died in a fire likely caused by a natural gas leak following damage from the storm, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

In Florida, a 19-year-old from Illinois drowned in rough waters, caught in a riptide in Destin on Saturday. A 49-year-old man drowned because of a rip current in Escambia County east of Pensacola Beach, according to the National Weather Service.

Large numbers of residents in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi woke up in the dark Monday morning after Delta made landfall in Louisiana as a Category 2 hurricane.

Covid mess

(CNN) Drugmaker Johnson & Johnson has paused the advanced clinical trial of its coronavirus vaccine because of an unexplained illness in a volunteer. It’s the second Phase 3 coronavirus vaccine trial to be paused in the US, but experts say it’s not entirely concerning or unexpected for adverse effects, even serious ones, to appear in large studies.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said during a virtual press briefing that "herd immunity is a concept used for vaccination, in which a population can be protected from a certain virus if a threshold of vaccination is reached".

He pointed out for instance that for measles, it is estimated that if 95% of the population is vaccinated, the remaining 5% will also be protected from the spread of the virus.

For polio, the threshold is estimated at 80%, he said.

"Herd immunity is achieved by protecting people from a virus, not by exposing them to it," Mr Tedros said.

"Never in the history of public health has herd immunity been used as a strategy for responding to an outbreak, let alone a pandemic," he insisted.

VOTING STUFF

Early in-person voting has started, and it’s already a mess. CNN TALKING ABOUT IN-PERSON VOTING SOUNDS LIKE TRUMP TALKING ABOUT MAIL-IN VOTING! BUT YOU WON’T HEAR THEN COVER THAT. A technical glitch at an Atlanta voting supersite and hours-long lines around the state plagued voters in Georgia. Election watchers have long worried that technical problems, along with pandemic protocols and reduced polling staff, will create untenable situations for discouraged voters.

California is dealing with another problem: The state’s Republican Party has been asked to remove unofficial ballot drop boxes placed in at least three counties. Such actions are illegal, since only county election officials have the authority to oversee ballot drop boxes. In New York, the NYPD has told all uniformed members to prepare to be deployed for protests before and after the election -- possibly into 2021, if a winner is not promptly and securely decided. BECAUSE LEFTIES ARE ALWAYS VIOLENT AND EVIL.
