Up until now, they had solely confirmed cases with a more sophisticated laboratory test. BTW: Vietnam placed 10,000 people under quarantine after six COVID-19 cases were discovered in a cluster of villages. Japan also saw its first death of an infected person on Thursday -- a woman in her 80s — making it the third outside mainland China after the Philippines and Hong Kong.
China’s Hubei province (which has a population of 60M) and its capital Wuhan (pop. 11M) — the Communist Party chiefs there were removed… amid the embarrassment, criticism and pressure! The central government has set up a special cabinet task force to handle the crisis. Shanghai mayor Ying Yong has been appointed as the new secretary of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, replacing the previous guy — without explanation. Ying worked closely with Chinese President Xi Jinping during the latter's time as party boss and governor of Zhejiang province.
Hong Kong Concerned Spread Through Pipes… I told you yesterday from CNN about this concern after people on different floors got the virus — SARS had reportedly spread through pipes. (South China Morning Post asks…) Coronavirus in your toilet? Public housing tenants were not allowed to modify bathroom pipes until August 2016. Reclassification may have allowed coronavirus to travel 10 storeys down in a Tsing Yi housing estate — 10 stories!

In her second interview Jan 31, she predicted that the outbreak in Wuhan would let up over the next few days, but could worsen again soon… Many - including US Senator Tom Cotton - have wondered if the virus was bio-engineered, and was ‘leaked’ from the lab (which just happens to be located at the epicenter ofg the virus).
The militarization, and bringing in of China's foremost bio-weapons expert raises the question once again of whether the Wuhan Strain of coronavirus (Covid-19) is the result of naturally emergent mutations against the possibility that it may be a bio-engineered strain meant for defensive immunotherapy protocols that was released into the public, most likely by accident since China’s rate of occupational accidents is about ten-times higher than America’s, and some twenty-times more than Europe’s – the only other regions with high-level virology labs. DANG!

(Drudge) TRUMP SETS STAGE FOR STONE PARDON… GOOD! (NBC News) Trump declines to rule out pardon for Roger Stone. "I don't want to say yet," Trump said when asked by reporters whether a pardon was on the table. That was on Wednesday, just a day after the Justice Department announced that it would reduce Stone's recommended sentence. GOOD. The dumb evil Democrats wanted to investigate because Trump called out the ridiculous 7-9 years prison time or whatever the prosecutors wanted on Stone — he called it “grossly disproportionate.” ALSO: “This is a horrible and very unfair situation. The real crimes were on the other side, as nothing happens to them. Cannot allow this miscarriage of justice!” he tweeted. The evil prosecutors withdrew from the case. "I'm not concerned about anything," Trump said when asked whether he found the prosecutors' departures troubling. "They ought to go back to school and learn. Because I'll tell you, the way they treated people, nobody should be treated like that."
Congressional Democrats on Wednesday called for an emergency hearing and investigation into the Justice Department's actions. The House Judiciary Committee said Wednesday that Attorney General William Barr has agreed to testify in March and that members plan to ask him about Stone's case.
Trump denied that his tweets criticizing Stone's recommended sentence amounted to interference with the case, telling reporters that Stone "was treated very badly" and that the initial sentencing recommendation was a "disgrace."
"Frankly, they ought to apologize to him," Trump said.
Trump also briefly discussed his impeachment at Wednesday's event. When asked what lessons he had learned, he attacked Democrats.
He said he had learned "that the Democrats are crooked, that they're vicious, that they shouldn't have brought impeachment."
Trump Attacks the judge who will sentence Stone… he did that Tuesday night, nice! (The Week) He tweeted, "Is this the Judge that put Paul Manafort in SOLITARY CONFINEMENT, something that not even mobster Al Capone had to endure?" he tweeted. "How did she treat Crooked Hillary? Just asking!" The judge in question is OBAMA Judge Amy Berman Jackson (WHITE JEWISH LIBERAL WOMAN MARRIED TO A BLACK MAN), who has presided over several cases involving people close to Trump, including Manafort, his former campaign chairman. Manafort is now serving a 7-and-a-half year prison sentence after being found guilty of tax and bank fraud and pleading guilty to conspiracy charges.

It was an interview the “CBS This Morning” host did with Lisa Leslie about the late NBA star Kobe Bryant. Snoop said, “Should have handled it way different than that. I was raised way better than that. So I would like to apologize to you publicly for the language that I used and calling you out on your name and being disrespectful.” Snoop was one of several celebrities who criticized King for her line of questioning that heavily focused on Bryant’s rape trial from 2003, with the rapper accusing King of being opportunistic in the wake of Bryant’s death and not defending black men. Gayle King said that the clip was taken out of context by CBS (her employer) to show the most salacious part of the full interview she did with Leslie. Oprah Winfrey then said that King was receiving death threats for her questions.
