Illegal immigration on southern border surged 40% in June…
(Drudge / Washington Examiner) There had been a lull during Coronavirus, putting it at its lowest level in years.
The resurgence was chiefly powered by adult migrants from Mexico, who made up nearly 80% of the flow. The number of children and supposed parents — who made up last year’s record surge — remained relatively low, at about 10% of the number.
Mark Morgan, the acting chief of Customs and Border Protection, said the numbers weren’t a surprise, but are still “extremely concerning.”
He said “...it is imperative that we continue to build the border wall system and enforce CDC policies aimed at protecting the health of Americans,” he said.
The vast majority of border jumpers were quickly returned to their countries, thanks to the coronavirus public health emergency, which allows the government to expel people. WHY IS THAT NOT ALWAYS THE CASE.
Drug seizures also rose, with cocaine up 50% in June and marijuana and fentanyl up even more. Methamphetamine seizures dropped 15%.

The court's decision hinged on the question of whether the Creek reservation continued to exist after Oklahoma became a state. President Trump’s RINO(?) Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote in the majority opinion.
The decision was 5-4, with Justices Gorsuch, Sonia Sotomayor, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Elena Kagan and Stephen Breyer in the majority, while Justices John Roberts, Brett Kavanaugh, Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas dissented.
Much of Tulsa, the state's second-largest city, is located on Muscogee (Creek) land. The Muscogee (Creek) Nation cheered the court's decision. AMERICA HATERS!
Chief Justice Roberts wrote the dissenting opinion, saying that it "will undermine numerous convictions obtained by the State, as well as the State's ability to prosecute serious crimes committed in the future," and "may destabilize the governance of vast swathes of Oklahoma."
American Indian Jimmy McGirt was convicted in 1997 of raping his wife’s four-year-old granddaughter (Court TV), but because he’s Indian and was on “Indian land,” the State of Oklahoma’s conviction is invalid.
The case before the court, McGirt v. Oklahoma, concerned Jimcy McGirt, an enrolled member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma who was convicted of sex crimes against a child on Creek land. In post-conviction proceedings, McGirt argued that the state lacked jurisdiction in the case and that he must be retried in federal court. The high court agreed. INSANE.
This seems like this injustice will incite lynchings by people who have no faith in the Feds (or the American Indians) to enforce local laws.

Jessica Lee, age 25, and her husband live with two roommates in their four-bedroom, $4,000-a-month apartment in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn.
During the pandemic all of Lee's housemates lost their restaurant jobs, leaving her as the only one with income from her job at a company that makes hand sanitizer.
Their landlord is now threatening to take her to court over $20,000 in back rent she has no ability to pay on her own.
'Nobody is hiring in the food industry,' Lee said. 'I'm on the hook, because I am the only employed person on the lease.'
'The landlord - and the system - demand the impossible of me,' she added.
'And there's no end in sight.'

(CNN) A new round of protests erupted in Salt Lake City after the district attorney there announced that the fatal police shooting of Bernardo Palacios Carbajal in May was justified. In response, Utah’s governor declared a state of emergency through the weekend. Palacios was shot May 23 after officers responded to a report of someone making “threats with a weapon.” The DA concluded their use of force was not unlawful (i.e. was lawful!).
CNN claims, without evidence, that: It’s the latest somber development in the conversation about police accountability and reform. However, a new poll from the Pew Research Center shows a plurality of Americans -- 42% -- support keeping police funding in their communities the same, rather than decreasing or increasing it.
