MO BROOKS WAS TRENDING ON FAR-LEFT TWITTER
CNN reporter Melanie Zanona tweeted: Rep. Mo Brooks told me he had "no involvement” in planning the Jan 6 rally but said: “I don't know if my staff did.. but if they did I'd be proud of them for helping to put together a rally lawful under the First Amendment at the ellipse to protest voter fraud [F-R-A-U-D-word for shenanigans] & election theft [T-H-E-F-T-word for robbery]."
Extreme-left Daily Beast, radical homosexual Raw Story, and anti-American Business Insider put out headlines:
Mo Brooks throws staff under the bus saying he didn't help plan Jan 6 but his team may have (Raw Story, Sarah K. Burris, Oct 25) TOTALLY FAKE NEWS!
Rep. Mo Brooks Shifts Blame to Staff Over Capitol Riot Involvement after he was accused of helping to organise the January 6 Capitol rally (Business Insider, Thomas Colson, Oct 26) THAT’S NOT BLAME, IT’S CREDIT!
It turns out Mo Brooks was named in Sunday night’s “explosive” (Daily Beast’s word) Rolling Stone report (by Hunter Walker @hunterw) claiming two unnamed organizers (FEDS?) of the “fateful” Jan. 6 rally are cooperating with congressional investigators (DUMB LIBERALS AND RINOs) and have reportedly accused multiple members of Congress of being closely involved in the event’s planning. PSH… A WITCH HUNT!
Rolling Stone claims there was a promise of a “blanket pardon” from the Oval Office.
Apparently MSM is headhunting prominent Republican Congressmen: Paul Gosar (Ariz.), Lauren Boebert (Colo.), Mo Brooks (Ala.), Madison Cawthorn (N.C.), Andy Biggs (Ariz.), Louie Gohmert (Texas), and Marjorie Greene (Ga.). THEY’D LOVE TO TAKE ANYONE REMOTELY “PATRIOTIC” OR “INSPIRING” DOWN!
CNN's Melanie Zanona also tweeted: MTG [Marjorie Greene] also denied involve[ment] in planning the rally, saying the "only thing" she was "very involved in" was objecting to the election results on Jan. 6. Then, referring to [the] Rolling Stone article, she added: "Shouldn’t they cover music?"
YOU MAY RECALL
…a female Rolling Stone writer put out a fake article called “A Rape on Campus” that started a witch hunt against frat boys — described by Wikipedia as “a retracted, defamatory Rolling Stone…article” alleging a gang rape at University of Virginia, put out Nov 2014, retracted 6 months later, April 2015.
THE WHITE HOUSE IS BLACK ON THE INSIDE
(CNN) President Biden has refused to assert executive privilege over more documents that former President Trump wants to keep out of the hands of the PHONY committee investigating the January 6 Capitol riot. Trump has tried to keep the documents secret by claiming executive privilege, but since he is no longer president, legal "experts" agree Biden has final say on whether they’re covered by such a measure. Biden previously refused to assert executive privilege over a similar batch of Trump-related documents, and the White House has said Biden wants the committee to have as much information as possible about January’s "attack." (FAKE NEWS)
Meanwhile, the Biden administration is expected to name Kim Wyman, a FEMALE Republican secretary of state who challenged Trump's false claims of election fraud, to a key election security role with the Department of Homeland Security. FOX GUARDING THE HENHOUSE!
SPEAKING OF THE ATTACK ON AMERICA (FREE SPEECH)
NOT READ: (CNN) A series of news stories dubbed "The Facebook Papers" -- based on thousands of internal company documents -- reveals how the platform has been used to sow political discord and extremism across the world, facilitate human trafficking, push hate speech and misinformation, and organize events like the January 6 insurrection. The documents also reveal that Facebook leaders sometimes knew to some extent the damage being caused by users.
The Facebook Papers represents another crisis for the social media giant, which is already under scrutiny from the Senate and some within the company’s own ranks. It's being published by a consortium of 17 US news organizations, including CNN. The documents were included in disclosures made to the Securities and Exchange Commission and provided to Congress in redacted form by Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen's legal counsel.
ALSO NOT READ: MORNING BREW'S EXPLANATION
(Morning Brew) Thousands of pages of leaked research. Reports blaring of an “existential crisis.” Apple’s privacy updates hurting ad visibility. And yet, the Zuck machine keeps growing.
Facebook said Q3 revenue increased 35% from last year, and that 3.58 billion people worldwide use its apps, up 12% from the year prior. Investors sent shares up nearly 2% after hours, relieved that FB continues to grow sales and users despite its regulatory and PR nightmares.
About those PR nightmares: Dozens of publications have been releasing damning reports of the company’s practices based on documents provided by whistleblower Frances Haugen. An agitated CEO Mark Zuckerberg labeled it a “coordinated effort to selectively use leaked documents to paint a false picture of our company” on the earnings call.
Looking ahead...Zuck knows he’s getting creamed by rivals like TikTok in engaging younger users, so he said the company will be “retooling” its products over the next few years to make “serving young adults the north star, rather than optimizing for older people.”
YET MORE NOT READ: THESKIMM'S TAKE
Leaked documents are painting a clearer profile picture of Facebook.
What’s the status?
The social media company’s been in the news for all the wrong reasons for months. But recently it’s because of former FB employee-turned-whistleblower Frances Haugen. When the product manager left the company, she took thousands of internal documents with her. And spoke out – on everything from Instagram's damaging impact on teens' mental health to how Facebook fueled hate, misinformation, and political unrest. Now, over a dozen US news orgs are publishing a number of stories from redacted versions of the docs. We’ve Skimm’d it for you:
Jan 6: Facebook worked (not very hard) to stop the spread of misinformation before last year’s election. But it reportedly rolled back a number of emergency measures after the 2020 elections. On Jan 6, Facebook staff watched chaos unleash. And tracked nearly 40,000 false news incidents per hour. One employee even said FB’s been “fueling this fire for a long time.” But the company denied responsibility for the Capitol attack, which left five dead and injured 140 officers.
Global reach: The company’s apparently got some major language barriers. There aren’t enough content moderators who speak local languages and can flag harmful content around the world. And FB’s failed to establish AI solutions to address the problem, leading to violence in Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, and India. At one point, Apple threatenedto remove FB from its app store over reports of people using it to sell and trade maids in the Middle East. And CEO Mark Zuckerberg apparently complied with gov demands in Vietnam to censor “anti-state” posts during last year’s elections.
Other notifications: As in, it's not all terrible. Some of the news just shows a poke, er...peek into Facebook. One of the company's priorities: make Facebook cool again. Internal docs show the company stressing that it's more popular with boomers than zoomers. And that it's throwing everything and a pair of low-rise jeans at trying to rebrand its image (and maybe even its name). That includes debating whether to remove the "like" button on Instagram. And apparently tweaking the News Feed to include content from outside users' personal network.
What’s next?
There's pressure on Zuckerberg himself to testify. Again. Meanwhile, the company maintains that it's not an evil overlord and that it’s “no different" from other social media sites. And it's showing receipts: An exec apparently reminded people the company spends $13 billion on over 40,000 jobs to “keep people safe on Facebook.” But the SEC, which has the docs, could look deeper. And has the power to fine Zuckerberg or remove him as chairman – though it's not clear how likely that would be.

Facebook’s platforms (including WhatsApp, Instagram) are more than just a way to share baby pics and check in on friends. The company reaches billions of people every day – shaping their opinions on everything from politics to hate. And this latest batch of info could have a lot of folks eyeing the delete button.
PS: Even if you know it's harmful, it's hard to step away from Instagram. We Skimm'd how to keep your social media use in check.

COMMIE MANDATES DESTROYING THE ECONOMY
(CNN) About $24 billion in goods is estimated to be sitting outside California’s two biggest ports as the shipping backup there continues to put pressure on an already-brittle supply chain. There's an animated time lapse visual showing ships circle the ports over and over, waiting to dock. The problem extends far beyond COMMIE-California. (FLORIDA IS DOING OK, PER RON DESANTIS!)
Goldman Sachs estimates the time it takes loaded ships to make it through US ports has tripled from historical norms. Officials warned the supply chain crisis, which makes for massive price increases, could last through the first half of 2022.
The related TRIFLING worker shortage is hitting American companies hard. 47% of businesses reported a shortage of skilled workers in the third quarter.
TESLA DOING OK RN
(Morning Brew) After Hertz ordered 100,000 Tesla electric vehicles ($4.2 billion), the automaker’s share price jumped 12.7%, giving it a market capitalization of $1 trillion.
Only Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Google, and Microsoft have entered the four comma club in the U.S. Facebook hit $1 trillion the fastest of all (within 17 years of being founded), but Tesla is currently worth about $83 billion more than FB. It took Tesla 18 years after its founding to hit a trillion.
Last spring, when no one was traveling and rental cars sat idle in parking lots, Hertz filed for bankruptcy. But they reorganized.
Teslas could make up over 20% of Hertz’s entire fleet while offering the EV [Electric Vehicle]-curious more opportunities to test them out. Hertz Interim CEO Mark Fields said “electric vehicles are now mainstream.”
Tesla is worth as much as 19 other automakers, including Toyota, GM, Honda, and Nissan, combined.
Tesla’s value is 15x higher than Ford’s, even though Ford brought in $115+ billion more in revenue last year.
Musk’s fortune increased by $25.6 billion yesterday to hit $255.2 billion—richer than any billionaire Forbes has ever tracked. (BETTER THAN JEFF BEZOS OR BILL GATES, AMIRIGHT? …OR NO?)
MASS SHOOTING?
One cop was injured. I couldn’t find info on the suspect or motive, but customers were FREAKED OUT. People hid for what seemed like over an hour. One person said she’s never going to that mall again, she doesn’t think.
Dumb libs were callling for gun control (to violate the Second Amendmnet rights even further).
STORM COMIN’ IN
(Apple) New York and New Jersey issued states of emergency ahead of a nor’easter expected to bring flash flooding to the area. -CNN — STAY SAFE YALL.
CLIMATE HYPE
(TheSkimm) What’s not getting better… Climate change (OK, SUCKERS!). Yesterday, a UN report found that concentrations of greenhouse gases hit a record high last year. Even with a temporary slowdown of new emissions during the SCAMdemic, carbon dioxide was almost 150% higher than pre-industrial levels (PSH!).
This "report" comes
…nearly a week before global[ist] leaders meet for COP26 (26th annual Conference of the Parties) climate talks (2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, in Glasgow, Scotland, Sun, Oct 31 thru Fri, Nov 12).
…and days before the G20 leaders (19 countries and the EU) meet in Rome.
Now, the UN’s warning that the world is “way off track” from its target to cut emissions in an attempt to reduce global warming (THE UN IS WAY OFF!). And some scientists say the world needs to cut its emissions in half in order to get rising temps under control. OK COMMIES!
