INJUSTICE AGAINST AMERICANS
No Charges Against Officer Who Shot Ashli Babbitt: DOJ
(The Epoch Times) The U.S. Capitol Police officer who shot dead an Air Force veteran during the tumultuous events on Jan. 6 will not be charged, the EVIL Department of Justice (DOJ) announced April 14.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for D.C. and the DOJ’s SO-CALLED Civil Rights Division decided jointly not to pursue charges against the officer.
They claimed a “thorough investigation” into the shooting of Ashli Babbitt, a 35-year-old who joined others in storming the U.S. Capitol in Washington during a joint session of Congress in January. Babbitt was shot while trying to climb through a broken window into the Speaker’s Lobby, adjacent to the House chamber.
The DOJ statement read: “Based on that investigation, officials determined that there is insufficient evidence to support a criminal prosecution.”
Mark Schamel, a lawyer for the officer, emailed The Epoch Times: “This is the only correct conclusion following the events of January 6. The lieutenant exercised professionalism and fantastic restraint in defending and protecting members of Congress.”
The officer remains unidentified in the public sphere.
“As unfortunate as it is that the lieutenant had to resort to deadly force, he fired only one shot at the only person who breached the locked doors and makeshift barricade that had been erected. He did so after clearly identifying himself and ordering the mob not to come through the barricade,” Schamel added. “He used tremendous restraint in only firing one shot, and his actions stopped the mob from breaking through and turning a horrific day in American history into something so much worse.” GIMME A BREAK.
Babbitt’s family was informed before the decision was publicly announced.
Terrell Roberts, an attorney for the family, told The Epoch Times the decision was “baffling.”
“I find it ... baffling ... that it’s a clear case of shooting an unarmed person without ... legal justification, but I have no idea what went into their decision,” Roberts said.
The family plans to move forward with a lawsuit against the officer for excessive use of force. WHY NOT THE DOJ?
The fatal gunshot hit Babbitt’s left shoulder, the D.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled last week (3 months later).
The DOJ stated: “the investigation revealed no evidence to establish ... at the time the officer fired a single shot at Ms. Babbitt, the officer did not reasonably believe that it was necessary to do so in self-defense or in defense of the Members of Congress and others evacuating the House Chamber. Acknowledging the tragic loss of life and offering condolences to Ms. Babbitt’s family, the U.S. Attorney’s Office and U.S. Department of Justice have therefore closed the investigation into this matter.” (THEY DON’T WANT TO ADMIT THEY DID ANYTHING WRONG!)
MEANWHILE, INJUSTICE AGAINST LOCAL COPS
(Revolver) Minnesota lady cop to be charged with second-degree manslaughter…
(NY Slimes) 48yo Kimberly A. Potter (a veteran cop for 26 years) appeared to mistake her gun for her taser after the mixed 20yo BLAH BLAH with a warrant who resisted arrest and tried to get away in a vehicle — SEEMS WORSE THAN ASHLI BABBIT, IMO! She too fired just a single shot. TREMENDOUS RESTRAINT!
Her name was known within a day or two. She posted $100K bond to bail out.
(Revolver) How the courts have handled accidental discharge cases…
(NY Slimes) 74-year-old reserve volunteer reserve deputy Robert C. Bates was convicted of second-degree manslaughter in Tulsa, OK, for a 2015 shooting of BLAH-BLAH BLAH-BLAH (some 44yo drugged out black male resisting arrest) in a drug sting.
Bates was released a year-and-a-half into his 4-year sentence, and faced two lawsuits which resulted in part in a $6M judgment for BLAH-BLAH’s “family.” SMH. Fortunately, he’s a millionaire.

IMMIGRATION

Comeback? South Dakota’s Noem says she’ll resist the Biden effort to resettle illegal immigrants… “Call me when you’re an American”… Joins governors of S.C., Nebraska… (Revolver / The Hill) EHHH. Tough lady, RME. NOT!
SC Gov. Henry McMaster tweeted: The heartbreaking humanitarian crisis on our border was created by the Biden Administration. Sending unaccompanied migrant children from the border to states like South Carolina only makes the problem worse.
109 illegal migrant children have been released to family member sponsors in Nebraska over the past five months (KETV). In 2018 nearly 600 children were released to sponsors across the state. Pete Ricketts is Governor of Nebraska.
Biden Admin is burning $60 million per week to housing, feeding army of illegals… (Revolver / The Hill) according to a report by The Washington COMPost.
Health and Human Services (HHS) quickly filled its 7,700 available beds in its network of permanent shelters, where the cost of caring for a single ILLEGAL migrant child runs $290 daily.
'GUN CONTROL'
BTW: Gov. Ricketts Declares Nebraska a ‘Second Amendment Sanctuary State’
(The Epoch Times) A number of counties in the state have already declared themselves Second Amendment “sanctuaries.”
The move comes in light of recent federal gun-control proposals and orders following several mass shootings.
Last week, President Joe Biden unveiled a series of executive orders including new designations on “ghost guns,” “red flag” laws, and stipulated that pistols modified with stabilizer braces would be subject to the National Firearms Act.
House Democrats passed two anti-gun measures to expand background checks, although Republican senators said they would block both.
Gov. Ricketts tweeted he “will stand up against federal overreach and attempts to regulate gun ownership and use in the Good Life.”
ELECTION SHENANIGANS
Majority of voters believe [cheating] affected November election outcome… 47 percent believe Democrats [stole or destroyed] Trump ballots… (Revolver / Wash. Examiner)
Hundreds of “woke” globalist multinationals sign letter opposing election integrity… (Revolver / Archive of NY Slimes, By David Gelles and Andrew Ross Sorkin, Apr 14)
Amazon, BlackRock, Google, Warren Buffett and hundreds of other companies and executives signed a statement released Wednesday opposing “any discriminatory legislation” to make it harder for people to vote.
...the biggest show of COMMUNIST solidarity … by the business communists amid partisan uproar over Republican feeble attempts at election integrity in almost every state. President Donald J. Trump and Senator Mitch McConnell called for companies to stay out of politics.
Organized by TWO BLACKS: Kenneth Chenault, former chief executive of American Express, and Kenneth Frazier, the chief executive of Merck. A copy appeared on Wednesday in advertisements in The New York Times and The Washington Post.
Last month, with only a few big companies voicing opposition to a restrictive new voting law in Georgia, Mr. Chenault and Mr. Frazier led a group of Black executives in calling on companies to get more involved in opposing similar legislation around the country.
Since then, many other companies have voiced support for voting rights. But the new statement, which was also signed by General Motors, Netflix and Starbucks, represented the broadest coalition yet to weigh in on the issue.
“It should be clear that there is overwhelming support in corporate America for the principle of voting rights,” Mr. Chenault said.
The statement does not address specific election legislation in states, among them Texas, Arizona and Michigan, and Mr. Chenault said there was no expectation for companies to oppose individual bills.
“We are not being prescriptive,” he said. “There is no one answer.”
Mr. Frazier emphasized that the statement was intended to be nonpartisan, arguing that protecting voting rights should garner support from Republicans and Democrats alike.
