117 Employees File Lawsuit Against Texas Hospital for Requiring COVID-19 Vaccine
(The Epoch Times) More than 100 employees said Houston Methodist Hospital “is forcing its employees to be human ‘guinea pigs’ as a condition for continued employment.”
Their lawsuit (pdf) also calls it “medical experimentation as a prerequisite….”
“For the first time in the history of the United States, an employer is forcing an employee to participate in an experimental vaccine trial as a condition for continued employment,” the lawsuit states.
The CEO and president of Houston Methodist, Marc Boom, allegedly directed employees to “please see the HR policy that outlines the consequences of not being compliant by June 7, which include suspension and eventually termination.”
David Bernard, a CEO of a Houston Methodist branch, allegedly told employee “100 percent vaccination is more important than your individual freedom. … Everyone [sic] of you is replaceable. If you don’t like what your [sic] doing you can leave and we will replace your spot.” A spokesman disputed that, calling the employee “disgruntled,” calling themselves a “values-based organization with respect” a core value. PSH.
The lawsuit was filed by Jared Woodfill, a Houston-area attorney; he said the mandate violates the Nuremberg Code [pdf] of 1947 [related to human experimentation], after the fall of the Nazi regime in Germany.
Houston Methodist pointed to the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC — EVIL organization against American businesses and individuals) — on May 28 EEOC updated guidelines suggesting employers can make employees be vaccinated.
DeSantis Says He’ll ‘Enforce Florida Law’ Against Vaccine Passports After Cruise Line Unveils Plans
(The Epoch Times) Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has reiterated that his state won't embrace so-called "vaccine passports" in the midst of confusion about whether a federally mandated system will be implemented for airplane and cruise travels.
Some cruise lines, which conduct a large amount of business in Florida, may be at risk of violating state law after Celebrity Cruises gained approval from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to require that cruise passengers and crew members show proof of vaccination.
Going a step further, DeSantis said Celebrity Cruises would be breaking Florida law if it attempted to require that passengers show proof of vaccination.
“You don’t pass laws and then not enforce them against giant corporations. It doesn’t work that way,” DeSantis said on May 28.
Homeland Security Walks Back Secretary’s Claim US Taking ‘Close Look’ at Vaccine Passports
(The Epoch Times) The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on May 28 walked back comments made by the agency's chief, who suggested earlier in the day that the federal government was “taking a very close look” at the idea of requiring vaccine passports to enter or leave the United States.
“Looking ahead to summer, Europe and other countries are going to open up. Could we see vaccine passports to travel internationally either into or out of the U.S.?” a host on ABC’s “Good Morning America” asked DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
“We’re taking a very close look at that,” Mayorkas responded.
But DHS said Mayorkas was only speaking about how Americans will need such documentation to enter other countries.
They said “the secretary was referring to: Ensuring that all U.S. travelers will be able to easily meet any anticipated foreign country entry requirements,” an agency spokesperson told news outlets.
“There will be no federal vaccinations database and no federal mandate requiring everyone to obtain a single vaccination credential,” the department also said.

Virginia Teacher Placed on Leave After Saying He Won’t Call Students by Their Preferred Pronouns
(The Epoch Times) Byron “Tanner” Cross [a white man, P.E. teacher — physical education, gym...], who teaches physical education at Leesburg Elementary School in [LOUD-un] Loudoun County Public Schools, was placed on leave after he spoke against a proposed rule that would require teachers and staff to address students by their preferred gender-identity pronouns, according to the Loudoun Times-Mirror.
The policy, according to the district’s website, says that “LCPS staff shall allow gender-expansive or transgender students to use their chosen name and gender pronouns, regardless of the name and gender recorded in the student’s permanent educational record.”
Cross addressed LCPS school board on May 25 during a public meeting in which the proposal was discussed, saying he “will not affirm that a biological boy can be a girl, and vice versa,” because that would violate his Christian beliefs.
“It’s not my intention to hurt anyone, but there are certain truths that we must face when ready,” Cross told the board members. “We condemn school policies [that] would damage children, defile the holy image of God.”
“I love all of my students, but I will never lie to them regardless of the consequences,” he continued. “I am a teacher, but I serve God first and I will not affirm that a biological boy can be a girl and vice versa because it’s against my religion. It’s lying to a child, it’s abuse to a child, and it’s sinning against our God.”
In a May 27 email to parents, Leesburg Elementary Principal Shawn Lacy (a black male) said Cross “is on leave beginning this morning,” but didn’t specify who made the decision or why.
“I wanted you to know this because it may affect your student’s school routine. Because this involves a personnel matter, I can offer no further information,” the email read, reported Loudoun Times-Mirror.
BACKGROUND
Loudoun County has some of America's top-achieving public schools — gained national attention over the past months in a fight between parents and school districts pushing QUOTE-UNQUOTE “woke” progressivism such as critical race theory (CRT) — an ideology rooted in Marxist class struggle but with an emphasis on race, anti-white propaganda, with the goal of dismantling all social institutions it deems inherently racist.
The school district made headlines in March when a Facebook group of current and former LCPS teachers created a blacklist of parents and teachers who expressed concern about elements of CRT being incorporated into classrooms. According to the Daily Wire, which first reported on the matter, the group members were encouraged to “infiltrate” the anti-CRT groups, to use “hackers” to silence their communications, and to “expose these people publicly.”
Biden’s Proposed Budget Lifts Ban on Federal Funding of Abortions
(The Epoch Times) Sleepy President Joe Biden’s $6 trillion budget proposal for 2022 notably excludes the Hyde Amendment, a law that has blocked federal funding for abortions under Medicaid for decades, unless the unwanted pregnancy has endangered a mother’s life or was the result of incest or rape.
NOT READ: Before the Hyde Amendment took effect in 1980, an estimated 300,000 abortions were performed each year using federal taxpayer funds. Since the amendment is a “rider” to the annual appropriations bill and not a permanent law, it must be renewed by Congress each year, giving lawmakers the opportunity to modify its language or do away with it entirely.
Republicans have unsuccessfully sought to make the ban permanent, while Democrats have tried to scrap the prohibition. Biden’s decision to exclude the amendment from his budget proposal sets up a possible fight in Congress
“It breaks with decades of settled precedent by calling for direct taxpayer-funded abortion,” said COWARDLY RINO House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.).
Alexis McGill Johnson, light-skinned black female president and CEO of abortion giant Planned Parenthood, called Biden’s move a “historic step in the fight for reproductive freedom [to kill babies]…. With 500+ abortion restrictions [on killing babies]...at the state level ... and an abortion case directly challenging Roe at the Supreme Court, we need an admin that will boldly support reproductive freedom [baby killing] in every way possible.”
