New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo Announces Resignation Over Harassment Allegations — BUT HE SAYS IT’S OVER IMPEACHMENT
(The Epoch Times) New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, announced Tuesday he will resign effective in 14 days after allegations of sexual harassment that were detailed in a state attorney general’s report last week.
The New York Assembly started deliberations Monday on an impeachment inquiry into his conduct and top Democrat officials, including Sleepy President Joe Biden, called on him to resign.
“The best way I can help now is if I step aside...,” Cuomo said in a televised speech.
But he said he did not intentionally show disrespect toward any female staffers or women, asserting the claims were “politically motivated.” But an impeachment would put New York in turmoil for months, the three-term governor explained.
Female Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul, a 62-year-old Democrat and former member of Congress, will become the state’s 57th so-called governor and the first full-blown female head of New York state.
“It is a matter of life and death. … wasting energy on distraction is the last thing government should be,” Cuomo remarked. “I cannot be the cause. New York tough means New York loving. And I love New York and I love you. Everything I have ever done has been motivated by that love and I would never want to be unhelpful in any way.” Awww
And speaking to his three daughters, Cuomo told them, “I want them to know from the bottom of my heart that I never did and I never would intentionally disrespect a woman, treat any woman differently than I would want them treated and that is the God’s honest truth.”
(I believe you, sir! Chin up, king!)
Texas Supreme Court Allows for Arrest of Democrats Who Don’t Show Up at Capitol
(The Epoch Times) The Texas Supreme Court on Tuesday voided a lower court’s order that restricted Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan’s authorization to arrest and detain state Democrats who fled the state in July to block a GOP-backed voting overhaul bill.
The high court issued a stay put out by a cheap Judge Brad Urrutia (looks light-skinned black or Hispanic or both, sloppy, fat, liberal Democrat so-called "judge")’s order, giving Democrats until Thursday to issue a court filing in response.
Phelan and Gov. Greg Abbott, both Republicans, had asked the court to overturn the order by 5 p.m. on Tuesday. They had asked the Texas Supreme Court to overturn Urrutia’s order, arguing that he stopped them from exercising their constitutional authority to arrest and detain the lawmakers who broke quorum.
“Compelling the attendance of its members is a prerogative given to the House by the Texas Constitution,” the two Republican leaders said in their petition to the court.
In a statement on Tuesday after the Supreme Court ruling, Abbott’s office claimed victory, saying “the Supreme Court of Texas swiftly rejected this dangerous attempt by Texas Democrats to undermine our Constitution and avoid doing the job they were elected to do.”
…. Democrats, in response, said they would attempt to fight for a temporary injunction at the district court level.
“It is no surprise that Republican[s]... want to arrest their political opponents. Thankfully, this is still the United States of America. We will defend the freedom to vote… [blah blah blah],” claimed Democrat Reps. Trey Martinez Fischer, Gina Hinojosa, and Jasmine Crockett in a statement.
Local media said some Democrat lawmakers started returning to Texas.
“There’s no way … I’m going to that House floor while I’ve got the protection of a judge’s order,” Rep. Celia Israel, a Democrat, told media Tuesday before the Supreme Court’s ruling.
Rep. Erin Zwiener told the Austin American-Statesman that she left Washington D.C., where she and other Democrats have been for about a month after leaving Texas, but did not give her location.
“The Supreme Court of Texas ruling has nothing to do with where I will be today,” she said Tuesday.

Protestors Gather at New York City Hall to Oppose Vaccine Passport
(The Epoch Times) A crowd of New Yorkers from many different walks of life gathered in front of City Hall on Monday to protest against the vaccine pass mandate recently announced by Mayor Bill de Blasio.
The mandate is scheduled to be enforced on Sept. 13.
Josephine Rose, one of the organizers of the protest and a city worker, held a megaphone and led a march after the rally.
“I was just told that by the 13th, I either get vaccinated, or I have to get weekly tested, but it is my body and my choice,” Rose told The Epoch Times. “I feel like it’s government overreach, we should all have a choice. I’m not an anti-vaxxer. But I believe in the choice of the people.”
“I think on VAERS [Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System] there have been 12,000 deaths reported,” Rose said. “I was vaccinated as a child but as an adult, I decide over my body, my parents no longer have any rights over me and it should be the same with the government.”
A set of data from July 30 states so far, 12,366 cases of death following China Virus vaccination were reported to VAERS, as well as over 545,000 cases of adverse reactions. However, according to a disclaimer on the VAERS website, “inclusion of events in VAERS data does not imply causality.”
There was a male organizer named Kevin who wouldn’t give his last name. He called it about surveillance and control.
St. Louis Cab Company Refuses Service to Masked, Vaccinated Customers
The Owner Says He’s Gotten Praise as well as Death Threats Over the Controversial Stance
“We kind of just let them know up front that we don’t allow masks in the vehicle. I ask them if they’ve done any ‘shots.’ I don’t get into the whys with customers. I ask them to do their own homework,” Charlie Burlington, owner of St. Louis-based Yo Transportation, told The Epoch Times.
Likewise, Burlington said he won’t serve customers carrying guns or marijuana, even with a doctor’s prescription, as a matter of policy.
“We have a ton of safety protocols,” said Burlington, 52, though none of them has been as hotly controversial as not serving people who’ve been vaccinated against COVID-19.
“I’ve been called a dumb-A** cab driver. ‘You don’t know [blank]!’ ‘You’re not a doctor.’ A lot of them are stunned. A majority say it doesn’t make any sense,” Burlington said about the vaccination policy.
Burlington started the state-certified taxi company 16 years ago. He currently operates with a fleet of three bright pink vehicles.
Burlington said the company’s vaccine policy followed after he heard from customers who knew someone who had an adverse reaction to the injection.
“I have doctors on the inside [who oppose the vaccines] who are fighting for their jobs,” Burlington said. “I saw a general worker at a gas station that I’ve known for years. She said her co-worker who did the shot got very sick.”
Since the company started the vaccine policy, Burlington said his voicemail has been inundated—mostly supportive, but also hate and death threats.
“...business owners ... support me 100 percent—especially from Texas. I’ve never been attacked as I have been now,” Burlington said. “Has this gained me any business—no!”

Tony Pantalleresco, owner of Herb Plus Beadwork in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, in April posted a sign informing customers that they wouldn’t be allowed into the health and wellness store if they’ve taken the vaccine. WHOA!
In May, an Australian hair salon owner announced she would refuse service to customers who have had the vaccine because of “unknown health effects.”
Dr. Jane Orient, executive director of the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) in Tucson, Arizona, said people should have the right to work whether they’ve been vaccinated or not.
“As Americans, we really should have the right to work for people we want to work for. We’re not slaves,” Orient told The Epoch Times. “There is certainly no law that says you can’t serve people who you believe to be a public threat. I can’t think of any good reason why you aren’t allowed to discriminate the other way.
“If enough people stand up for their rights, [businesses] are going to have to back off.”
Attorney Matt Staver, the founder of Florida-based Liberty Counsel, said a public backlash against corporate vaccine mandates is already brewing.
While not widely reported in the media, he said a number of health care workers nationwide have begun to protest against the vaccine mandates.
“We’re living in a very lawless time that is very dangerous,” Staver told The Epoch Times. “[Companies] are not going to survive the legal challenges that are coming.”
