REST IN PEACE, MEAT LOAF!
(Drudge) MEAT LOAF DEAD… the FLAMBOYANT ROCKER… (TMZ claims: He BECAME SERIOUSLY ILL with the China Virus…)
(The Sun) Born Marvin Lee Aday in Texas (in 1947), he shot to fame with his powerful, wide-ranging voice and enjoyed a stellar career spanning six decades.
Hake liked “I would do anything for love (but I won’t do that)” from the album Bat Out of Hell, his 1977 debut — the song reached number one in 28 countries and won him a Grammy.
He sold more than 100 million albums and starring in 65 movies.
He’d suffered health issues including asthma and collapsed on stage in London in 2003 and Pittsburgh in 2011.
"Sources" reportedly told TMZ the singer cancelled a business dinner for a new TV show he was due to be part of earlier this week after becoming seriously ill with the China Virus.
It is unclear whether Meat Loaf was "vaccinated" - but just months before his death he declared "if I die, I die - I'm not going to be controlled" when discussing the commie virus.
In an interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette published last August, he also labelled face masks a "nuisance".
"I'm sorry, I understood stopping life for a little while, but they cannot continue to stop life because of politics," he told the outlet.
"And right now they're stopping because of politics. And on CNN last night, it finally came out that the masks we’re all wearing are useless [he claimed, perhaps exaggerating]. But I've known that for six months.
"They don't do anything. They don't stop you from getting Covid. They're just a nuisance and make your nose itch and make it so you can't breathe."
(Daily Mail) Meat Loaf died at 74 with his second wife Deborah, and 2 daughters (real daughter, Amanda, and stepdaughter, Pearl) by his side. He was married to his ex-wife Leslie Aday 1979-2001 (who’d already had a daughter before marrying him); he later married Deborah Gillespie in 2007.
SUPER BOWL
Boycott it! Next one is Sun, Feb 13, 2022, Super Bowl "L-V-I"...so that’s LVI is 56? Yeah.
(CNN) set to be a 90s fake love-fest. A lineup of hip-hop "legends" will be assembling to potentially give you the best halftime show ever. PSSHHH. PROBABLY NOT!
A trailer for this year's Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show is a cinematic treat featuring Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar in a '90s-style video. *CRINGE* BUNCHA HAS-BEENS… AND THIS IS COMING FROM A NEVER-WAS! AT LEAST NO BEYONCE!
SHE’S NO MEAT LOAF! SHE LOST TOO MUCH WAIT, SEEMS UNNATURAL!
(CNN) Adele tearfully postpones Las Vegas residency due to Covid among crew
Hello, it’s me... your biggest fan, Adele. We love you no matter what! So writes this cringey CNN writer Alexandra Meeks.
CNN FOR VICTIMS DOING WRONG
(CNN) Millions of store and restaurant workers in America who catch Covid-19 are increasingly showing up to work while infected with the virus. Many of these employees don't have paid sick leave and need to keep up with their bills, while others fear they'll face repercussions if they call out sick. BLAMING EMPLOYERS FOR EMPLOYEES DOING WRONG!

THE FUTURE IS KOHL'S (NOT)
(Morning Brew) Amazon's so sick of the internet: The mega corporation announced Thursday that it plans to open its first physical clothing store later this year in sunny Glendale, California.
The store, called Amazon Style (a clever combination of the company’s name and the concept of style) will feature some techy upgrades to old-school physical retail.
Customers can send items to a fitting room via the Amazon Shopping app.
QR codes on items can be scanned to see additional sizes, colors, and ratings.
Fitting rooms will offer new recommendations based on what customers want to try on.
Rather than being a glorified outlet store for AmazonBasics, Amazon Style plans to “meet every budget and price point”—with offerings ranging from $5 socks to $500 shirts with complicated patterns.
A survey from last year showed that 34% of millennial consumers said they start with Amazon when searching for clothes. And 85% of US retail sales still happen in-store. (YOU WANNA BE ABLE TO TRY ON THE FIT.)
OH, NO
(Morning Brew) Mars announced Thursday that their M&M characters are getting a redesign for a “more dynamic, progressive world.”
The most notable changes include the green M&M's redesign, which will exchange the white heeled go-go boots she was given in 1997 for "cool, laid-back sneakers to reflect her effortless confidence." Mars had received criticism for the green M&M's sexy characterization. The green M&M will also be "better represented to reflect confidence and empowerment, as a strong female, and known for much more than her boots." PSHHH.
The green M&M and the brown M&M will have a more friendly relationship, showcasing a "force supporting women." The two characters' dynamic will have them "together throwing shine and not shade," the company said.
They already had a viral tweet from 2015 showing the two holding hands on a beach. Ms. Green was quoted as saying: “It's rare Ms. Brown and I get to spend time together without some colorful characters barging in.”
The orange M&M, who has an anxious personality, will "embrace his true self, worries and all." According to Mars, the orange M&M is "one of the most relatable characters with Gen-Z," which is the "most anxious generation."
The red M&M, who has shown bully tendencies in the past, will be more kind to his co-characters. SMH, WEAK!
Mars will also include imagery of M&Ms of all shapes and sizes, moving away from only one body size, and it will remove the prefixes from the characters' names in order to focus on "their personalities, rather than their gender." Currently, only the brown M&M has a prefix — Ms. Brown — on the M&M website.
The company hopes their changes will show the importance of "self-expression and power of community." WE NEED TO BAN WOMEN FROM SHOPPING.
GIRL POWER, NOT!
(Morning Brew) Quote: “If you have the opportunity—go for it.”
19-year-old Zara Rutherford is encouraging people to “do something crazy with your life” after she became the youngest woman to fly solo around the world yesterday. It took her five months in total to circumnavigate the globe—two months more than planned due to bad weather. CONGRATS.
NOT READ: UNIONS
(Morning Brew) Union membership fell to record lows in 2021 in the US, despite the flurry of strikes and union drives at corporations like Amazon, Starbucks, and Kellogg. The percentage of wage and salary workers who were part of a union dropped to 10.3% last year from 10.8% in 2020.
