Big Tech clamps down on Russia // Russia-Ukraine drama // Climate hype "crisis" // State of the Union tomorrow //
Should be a Men’s Forum this Thursday — first Thursday of the month!
EVIL ESTABLISHMENT CLAMPDOWN
(CNN) So-called “Big tech” companies are clamping down on Russian state media outlets by cutting off their ad revenue during the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. Google is the latest platform to ban the outlets from running ads on their content, following similar decisions by YouTube (WHICH IS PART OF GOOGLE) and Meta in recent days.
RUSSIA-UKRAINE DRAMA
(CNN) Russian and Ukrainian delegations are meeting for talks today on the Ukraine-Belarus border as Moscow continues to ramp up its assault on Kyiv (better spelled Kiev). New satellite imagery shows a miles-long convoy of Russian military vehicles bearing down on the Ukrainian capital despite the negotiations.
This comes just one day after Russian President Vladimir Putin put his deterrence forces, which includes nuclear arms, on high alert.
Meanwhile, Western sanctions are beginning to take effect, with the Russian Central Bank announcing it would raise its key interest rate from 9.5% to 20% because "external conditions for the Russian economy have drastically changed." Russia's currency also hit a record low against the US dollar today as the country's financial system reeled from the supposedly crushing sanctions. (CNN)
CLIMATE HYPE: 'CRISIS'!
(CNN) The evil EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) faces a Supreme Court case today that could challenge the federal government's ability to fight the SO-CALLED “climate crisis” and prevent its worst outcomes. Republicans are expected to argue that the EPA has no authority to regulate emissions from the power sector. Instead, they say that authority should be given to Congress. A Supreme Court decision siding with coal companies could undercut the Biden administration’s plans to slash ALLEGEDLY planet-warming emissions at a time when PHONY, SELF-IMPORTANT scientists are sounding the alarm about “climate change”!
LEFTIST Observers say the outcome of this case is tough to predict, but a ruling that would shift the authority to regulate “greenhouse gas emissions” from power plants to Congress would be the worst-case scenario for the EPA. SMH.
STATE OF THE UNION
(CNN) US Capitol Police will once again erect a fence on Capitol grounds ahead of President SLEEPY Joe Biden's State of the Union address tomorrow. The fencing is to heighten security and prepare for possible protests by big rig truckers in the coming days. The speech is a National Special Security Event, according to officials, and the Secret Service has been placed in charge of planning. Outside law enforcement agencies as well as the National Guard have been brought in to assist.
State of the Union address at 9 p.m. ET tomorrow; will be streamed live.
CHINA VIRUS
(CNN) People who have received a dose of Evusheld, the monoclonal antibody drug against Covid-19, should get an additional dose as soon as possible, the FDA says. The agency revised the emergency use authorization (EUA) because the drug may be less active against certain Omicron “subvariants.” PSH. I THOUGHT OMICRON WAS RELATIVELY MILD COMPARED TO DELTA INDIA MUTATION!
NOT READ: Monoclonal treatments serve as a different avenue for protection and are popular among immunocompromised people who cannot be “vaccinated” for medical reasons. It’s also an option for individuals who have been advised not to get a vaccine because of a severe reaction to a China Virus vaccine or its components.
The revision of the emergency use authorization presents challenges: Experts say it’s going to be difficult to get the word out to everyone who received a dose, and access to the product remains limited.
02/28/22 Mon. Hour 2
Zelensky is not running // Biden to nominate Ketanji Brown Jackson to Supreme Court // Little Rocket Man is throwing missiles again //

UKRAINE 'LEADER' ZELENSKY
(TheSkimm) QUOTE: “I need ammunition, not a ride” — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy refusing the US’s offer to get him out of Kyiv.
Whooooaaa, tough talk! Meanwhile U.S. politicians in hiding during the mostly peaceful Capitol protest, worried about getting raped by Boomer grandmas!
Such a “servant of the people”: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has rejected a US offer for evacuation — asserting that he remains in Kyiv. The news came as Zelenskyy said he and his family remain Russia’s primary targets, telling EU leaders “this may be the last time you see me alive.” Now, he's being praised for refusing to abandon his citizens. Here’s a closer look at the president suddenly in the world’s spotlight:
Zelenskyy was long known as a comedian. The son of Jewish parents, Zelenskyy voiced Paddington Bear and performed on Ukraine’s version of "Dancing with the Stars." From 2015 to 2018, he played a history teacher frustrated with corruption who accidentally became president of Ukraine on a popular TV show called “Servant of the People." Zelenskyy then ran for president in real life — and he won, earning 73% of the vote. Now, the comedian-turned-president is the face of Ukrainian resistance.
LAME!
(CNN) Hollywood actress Blake Lively (Brown?) and her husband Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds (they have three daughters… Ryan previously married Scarlett Johansson) — they pledged to match donations for Ukrainian refugees [WAIT, REFUGEES TO WHERE?] up to $1 million: amazing power couple.
UNDER THIS DISTRACTION
(TheSkimm) On Friday, Sleepy Biden fulfilled a campaign promise and nominated the first [b]lack female to the SO-CALLED Supreme Court. Ketanji Brown Jackson, 51-year-old former public defender turned federal appellate judge, leading contender to replace the retiring Justice Stephen Breyer (whom she clerked for). Now, the Harvard-trained “judge” hopes to head to SCOTUS. But some on the right take issue with how much (or little) she’s published recently. And the fact that her opinion blocking a Trump admin's deportation policy was reversed by the DC Circuit. Next up: Biden is expected to nominate her in the coming weeks (HUH? THOUGHT HE DID FRIDAY, YOU JUST SAID) and hopes to confirm her as soon as April.
MASK OFF
(TheSkimm) NYC. Yesterday, Mayor Eric Adams (D) announced the Big Apple could be saying 'bye' to school mask mandates and vax mandates by March 7 — if new COVID-19 cases remain low.
TWILIGHT BATMAN
(CNN) "The Batman" in theaters Friday: 35yo English vampire romance movie actor Robert Pattinson plays Batman and Zoë Kravitz plays as Catwoman (33yo daughter of Lenny Kravitz).
LITTLE ROCKET MAN
(CNN) North Korea launched a ballistic missile off the east coast of the Korean Peninsula yesterday -- an "undesirable" move for peace stabilization while the world is trying to resolve the Ukraine war, South Korea's National Security Council stated.
The launch is North Korea’s eighth test this year (WHEN TRUMP’S AWAY, THE MICE WILL PLAY!) and — NOT READ: … comes nearly a month after Pyongyang fired what it claimed was its longest range ballistic missile since 2017.
North Korea has ramped up its missile testing in 2022 (IN THE FACE OF SLEEPY JOE), announcing plans to bolster its defenses against the United States and evaluate "restarting all temporally suspended activities," according to state media.
