ANTI-SECOND AMENDMENT PROPAGANDA
(CNN) Leading “Republican” senators involved in “gun talks” on Capitol Hill signaled it's unlikely Congress will raise the age requirement for purchasing semi-automatic firearms from 18 to 21, instead saying they’re looking at changing the criminal background check system. GOP Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina yesterday said officials are considering a “waiting period” of sorts for 18- to 20-year-olds purchasing semi-automatic guns, which he said could be "two to three weeks minimally" potentially to scour juvenile records. But he added Senate negotiators are looking at ways for gun purchasers to appeal for expedited processes. SMH. NOT THE ISSUE!
Separately, Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia -- the Senate's most “conservative” (pro-life) Democrat -- voiced his support yesterday for raising the age to 21 for purchasing semi-automatic weapons and questioned why individuals need to own high-powered AR-15-style guns. LAME.
WE’RE STILL ROLLING WITH TRUMP
(CNN) The Trump campaign directed a group of alternate (cnn calls them “fake”) electors in Georgia to meet in secret and obscure their objectives, per an email obtained by CORRUPT(?) federal prosecutors. The email is part of the recent investigation into OUR GREATEST President Donald J. Trump's efforts to overturn the election shenanigans in several swing states. It also draws focus on the Trump campaign's interactions with so-called alternate Republican electors in states Trump QUOTE-UNQUOTE “lost” and whether a scheme to organize them could be charged as a crime — PSH!
As the federal probe continues to grow in seriousness, the criminal cases of “rioters” involved in the January 6 US Capitol mostly peaceful protest are also escalating. The FAKE Justice Department yesterday charged the head of the Proud Boys (Enrique Tarrio, once a federal informant) and four other leaders in the centrist (falsely labeled far-right extremist) group with seditious conspiracy (LORRRD!), the gravest charge to emerge from the Capitol riot.
LAZY BONES ECONOMY
(CNN) Calls to shorten the work week have gathered steam as many countries emerge from the China Virus SCAMdemic. In the UK, thousands of employees recently joined the world's biggest pilot to test a four-day work week -- with no cut to their pay (SHAMEFULLY) -- and several other government-backed trials are set for the near future.
(Morning Brew) A six-month program began in the UK on Monday, with over 3300 employees across 70 companies, including banking, health care, marketing, retail… Results TBA 2023.
The last major trials took place in Iceland between 2015 and 2019, and included 2,500 public- and private-sector employees (more than 1% of the country’s working population). Those employees switched to a 35- or 36-hour workweek without any reduction in pay and, according to researchers, the test was a “major success.” Productivity at the majority of workplaces involved improved or stayed the same.
Other trials are underway in several countries, including Spain, New Zealand, and Japan. 92% of US employees like the idea. Move to France, where a 35-hour workweek cap has been the law since 2000.
Trials of lighter work schedules haven’t always been successful for both employees and employers, though: A two-year trial of a six-hour workday in one of Sweden’s largest cities in 2017 left workers happier, healthier, and more productive, but the practice was deemed too expensive due to the new hires needed to fill gaps in time.
Finding a job that actually implements a shorter workweek is extremely rare. In January, there were just 1,700 jobs advertising a four-day workweek in the US for every 1 million posted (which is basically 0%).

BIDEN-DEMOCRATS’ GAS PRICES
(CNN) Russia's invasion of Ukraine is a major reason that drivers in the US are paying record prices for gasoline (OR IS THAT FAKE NEWS?), but it's not the only cause of the spike. Numerous factors are pushing gas prices up (ALL THANKS TO COMMIE CAPITALISM), with regular gasoline hitting a record $4.87 a gallon yesterday, according to AAA. That's up 25 cents a gallon in just the last week.
The national average is expected to hit $5 a gallon within the next two weeks, according to Tom Kloza, global head of energy analysis for the OPIS, which tracks gas prices for AAA.
The national average has been rising steadily for the past month, setting 27 records in the last 28 days. *SCOFF* And in 10 states, plus Washington, DC, the average price is already at $5 or more. (I paid about $6.50 on Sunday here.)
RINO-EQUIVALENT BORIS JOHNSON
(CNN) Amid a flurry of criticism, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson survived a vote of no-confidence yesterday that could have led to his removal from office. The vote among members of his own party was 211 to 148 following a “scandal” surrounding illegal lockdown-breaking parties thrown in his Downing Street offices. The government and Johnson hailed the result. "I think it's a convincing result, a decisive result, and what it means is that as a government we can move on and focus on the stuff that really matters to people," Johnson said. Yet the margin of victory means that 41% of Johnson's own party refused to back him. The large rebellion by lawmakers will leave Johnson’s reputation diminished and could also heap more pressure on him as Conservatives face two difficult parliamentary by-elections later this month.
FAR-LEFT TWITTER
(CNN) Elon Musk threatened to walk away from his $44 billion purchase of Twitter yesterday, openly accusing the CORRUPT social media company of breaching the merger agreement by not providing the data he has requested on spam and fake accounts. Musk has alleged that the true number of spam accounts on Twitter is potentially as high as 90% and demanded that the social media giant turn over info about testing methodologies to support its claims that bots and fake accounts constitute less than 5% of the platform's active user base. According to a letter Musk sent to Twitter, he believes the company may be "withholding the requested data due to concern for what Mr. Musk's own analysis of that data will uncover."
ENEMIES OF RUSSIA
(CNN) 61: That's how many MORE Americans were added to Russia's "stop list," banning them from entering the country, the Russian Foreign Ministry said today. Last month, Russia banned 963 American officials and figures from entering the country, including so-called “President” Joe Biden and joke-of-a Secretary of State Antony Blinken. That list also included the majority of US senators and members of the House of Representatives, former and current government officials, journalists, military personnel, advocates, citizens and CEOs. The latest ban includes unchristian Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.
NOT READ: APPLE IOS UPDATE
(CNN & Morning Brew) Apple is introducing the ability to edit or completely recall texts in iMessage as part of its next operating system, iOS 16. The company also announced changes to the iPhone lock screen (customizable fonts! Widgets!) and the biggest update to the MacBook Air in more than a decade during its WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) keynote address.
