Tue, May 7: Boy Football Star Killed; Denny’s Workers Attack! Failing Fathers
Tue, May 7, Hour 1: 14-y-o Football Star Killed; Baltimore Man Never Knew His Father
Jesse opens the show and talks about an East St. Louis-area 14-year-old football star, eighth grader Jaylon McKenzie, who was shot and killed by a stray bullet at a house party around 11:30pm Saturday night. He’d been featured in Sports Illustrated as a 13-year-old, had college scholarship offers, and wanted to be in the NFL. His parents were not on a solid foundation.
Today’s life is not rewarded for the character of a person anymore, but for the things they do. People like Oprah because she’s rich, famous, and gives away free stuff, not because she’s a decent woman. Where is the father? He should be at the forefront.
A 15-year-old girl was in critical condition. No arrest on the shooter so far. Where is Obama saying he could have been his son?
State Rep. LaToya Greenwood (she black) posted a dumb drama quote about tears being power, with the #JaylonMcKenzie. (It’s a Washington Irving quote, who was a white author.)
Jesse talks about BOND and our upcoming 10th annual Men’s Conference.
PJ from Baltimore says he never really knew his father. His mother married a man who he found out was not his father at about age 11. He was playing peewee football and had a different last name from his parents, his mother’s maiden name. His parents didn’t fight but he went through beta moments, not knowing who he was. He’s making an effort to find his father who lives in California. His father’s sister died. He met her 14 years ago. He’s 32. His mother never talked bad about his real dad.
PJ asks if you can tell the truth in anger. No. He goes to marriage counseling, and they say he should care about his wife’s emotions when talking to her. Do not go to a woman counselor.
Russ of Hampton, VA, asks about homosexuals being born that way or not then tries to tell Jesse how to talk to callers who try to say stuff about him and his son.

(Drudge) NATURE DECLINING AT 'UNPRECEDENTED' RATE, UN STUDY WARNS… Humans at risk… Wildlife and habitats are declining at an “unprecedented” rate worldwide which directly threatens human beings, a major new study has warned. Up to a million species of plants and animals are at risk of extinction, a greater number than ever before in human history. Many could vanish within decades, the UN-backed global assessment reveals. Scientists warn that the natural world is deteriorating faster than ever as a direct result of human activity, eroding “the very foundations” of economies, livelihoods, food, health and quality of life worldwide. A huge transformation is needed across the economy and society to protect and restore nature, which provides people with food, medicines and other materials, crop pollination, fresh water, and quality of life.
(Drudge) Treasury rejects demand for President's tax returns -- again… (ABC News) Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has denied congressional Democrats' request for six years of President Donald Trump’s personal and business tax returns, writing that the request "lacks a legitimate legislative purpose" and therefore the Dept is "not authorized" to release the returns. Mnuchin added that the Department of Justice had informed Treasury, "that it intends to memorialize its advice in a published legal opinion as soon as practical." "Out of respect for the deadlines previously set by the Committee, and consistent with our commitment to a prompt response, I am informing you now that the Department may not lawfully fulfill the Committee’s request," he wrote.
(Drudge) Dems to hold Barr in contempt… (Politico) Nadler and Barr steam toward clash over contempt. The House Judiciary Committee will proceed on a vote to hold the attorney general in contempt for defying a subpoena, despite DOJ efforts to negotiate. The House Judiciary Committee will proceed with a vote to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress on Wednesday, Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) confirmed late Monday, as the Justice Department attempts to fend off the effort ahead of a negotiating session with the Democratic-led committee on Tuesday. Nadler's firm stance comes as he seeks punitive actions against the attorney general for defying a subpoena for special counsel Robert Mueller’s unredacted report on the Russia investigation and its underlying evidence. It also comes hours after the Justice Department put forward a last-ditch plea to negotiate with the panel, offering a Wednesday meeting but later agreeing to Nadler’s demand for a Tuesday sit-down.
“At the moment, our plans to consider holding Attorney General Barr accountable for his failure to comply with our subpoena still stand,” Nadler said in a statement. “My hope is that we make concrete progress at tomorrow’s meeting towards resolving this dispute. The committee remains committed to finding a reasonable accommodation.”
Atty General deploys 'Holder Defense'... (Wash. Times) As Attorney General William P. Barr works to fend off an aggressive Congress demanding more information, he has turned to a surprising source for justification: former Obama official Eric H. Holder Jr., who seven years ago found himself in much the same position. Mr. Holder’s justification for thwarting the House — then under Republican control — was the first piece of evidence Mr. Barr used last week in his letter letting House Democrats know he would not meet their deadline for complying with a subpoena. “The department must ensure that it may continue to conduct law enforcement investigations free of outside interference, particularly in high-profile cases that receive intense public scrutiny,” Assistant Attorney General Stephen E. Boyd wrote in a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler last week citing Mr. Holder. “To that end, the department has long resisted congressional attempts to rummage through its investigative files.”

Diana Ross is The Boss! She was in the airport after a New Orleans jazz festival, and she feels violated by the TSA.
Judah from Bloomington, IN, 15, asks how anger is from women. He mentions his little sister, his mother, his grandmother. Jesse explains how anger is passed down from mothers. Also forgive your father for not protecting you. Has he forgiven his mother? His mother’s mother came to live at their house. His grandpa fell off a 50-foot building cleaning gutters and died from the fall. His grandma was lonely. His mother complains about her mother to him, but does the same things she does. He talks about liberal groups like Gay-Straight Alliance, a bunch of beta males around him. His parents are still married. His father is a pastor and small business owner. His father is pro-gay because dad’s father turned homosexual.
Jesse takes a break and Joel reads Super Chats.
Jesse gets back to Judah. He’s been doing Jesse’s Silent Prayer recently. He can talk to his 17-year-old cousin who share the same homosexual grandpa. His cousin’s dad is also a pastor. His brother is a bit liberal, and his girlfriend who controls him, supports The Great White Hope. It’s not good though, it’s a mama-and-son relationship.
Brandon from Georgia, 1st-timer, talks to Jesse. After Jesse answers him. He asks about the Bible, which he calls the “word of God.” Jesse tells him never try to convince a “Bible thumper” about what they read. I don’t waste my time arguing with those folks. The Bible is the word from God. But the Word of God is in your heart. The people of the Bible don’t know the truth — they’re like those who went to the school of Satan. They’re puffed up on knowledge, and think they know God. Do you trust the Kingdom of Heaven within?

(Drudge) On way to prison, Michael Cohen says 'much to be told'... (AP) Michael Cohen took a last swipe at President Donald Trump while reporting to federal prison Monday to start a three-year sentence for crimes including tax evasion and so-called campaign finance violations related to hush-money payments made to protect his former boss. Cohen, who turned on Trump last summer after a decade as his personal lawyer, fixer and “take a bullet” loyalist, didn’t mention the president by name, but he left little doubt about whom he blamed for his incarceration. (Should be himself.) “I hope that when I rejoin my family and friends that the country will be in a place without xenophobia, injustice and lies at the helm of our country,” Cohen told reporters outside his Manhattan apartment. “There still remains much to be told, and I look forward to the day where I can share the truth.” Cohen’s 52. BETA!
(Drudge) STUDY CONCLUDES UNIVERSAL BASIC INCOME DOESN'T WORK… (The Guardian) A study of UBI trials concludes that making cash payments to all is no solution to poverty and inequality. This piece is written by Anna Coote, co-author of Universal Basic Income: A Union Perspective. A study published this week sheds doubt on ambitious claims made for universal basic income (UBI), the scheme that would give everyone regular, unconditional cash payments that are enough to live on. Its advocates claim it would help to reduce poverty, narrow inequalities and tackle the effects of automation on jobs and income. Research conducted for Public Services International, a global trade union federation, reviewed for the first time 16 practical projects that have tested different ways of distributing regular cash payments to individuals across a range of poor, middle-income and rich countries, as well as copious literature on the topic.
It could find no evidence to suggest that such a scheme could be sustained for all individuals in any country in the short, medium or longer term – or that this approach could achieve lasting improvements in wellbeing or equality. The research confirms the importance of generous, non-stigmatising (non-means-tested) income support, but everything turns on how much money is paid, under what conditions and with what consequences for the welfare system as a whole.
From Kenya and southern India to Alaska and Finland, cash payment schemes have been claimed to show that UBI “works”. In fact, what’s been tested in practice is almost infinitely varied, with cash paid at different levels and intervals, usually well below the poverty line and mainly to individuals selected because they are severely disadvantaged, with funds provided by charities, corporations and development agencies more often than by governments.
(Drudge) Presidential Medal of Freedom caps Tiger comeback… (Fox News) Trump calls Woods a “true legend.” He presented Tiger Woods with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in the White House Rose Garden Monday. (Golf Week) He’s the First active athlete ever to earn… “It’s an incredible privilege to be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom,” Woods later tweeted. “Considering the recipients, history, and what this means to me and my family, it’s also very humbling. Thank you all for your support and I hope this inspires others to never give up on their dreams.” Woods’ fifth victory at Augusta National at age 43 last month capped off “one of the most incredible comebacks that golf, or any sport, has ever seen,” Trump said. “Tiger, we are inspired by everything you’ve become and attained.” (Mediaite has VIDEO… too.)
