The Senate already approved it so it's heading to Gavin Newsom's desk. // This is California State Rep. Lori Wilson, who wrote AB 957: "Parents affirm their children. Typically it happens when their gender identity matches their biological gender. But when it doesn't, the affirmation starts to wane... Our duty as parents is to affirm our children." … 0:45

It’s 9/11 (almost as significant as J6)

(CNN or theSkimm Mon. 9/11/23) On this day 22 years ago, four planes hijacked by terrorists crashed into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania — killing nearly 3,000 people in a matter of hours. Many people will pause today to honor the victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and reflect on the permanent emotional toll the tragedy inflicted on the nation. A total of 2,753 people were reported missing in lower Manhattan after the attacks on the World Trade Center. To this day, 40% of the victims, or about 1,100 people thought to have died in the disaster, remain unidentified. New York City officials last week identified two new victims through DNA testing, and the work is ongoing to identify others as their loved ones continue to grieve.

BREAKING: DEBUNKING THE LIES IN ADL'S RESPONSE TO ELON — ADL's CEO broke his silence on 𝕏 and Elon by lying and trapping the host:

1) He claimed that Elon brought and amplified anti-semitism and hate speech back to the platform. This is NOT TRUE. The 𝕏 Safety team shared that an independent assessment by Sprinklr found that hate speech impressions on 𝕏 “to be 0.003% compared to Twitter’s estimate of 0.012%.”

2) Greenblatt clarified that he has never claimed Elon or 𝕏 are anti-Semitic: “I don’t think Twitter as a platform is anti-Semitic.”

3) When Greenblatt was asked by the host (who also identified as Jewish) if he was seeking a position or donation from 𝕏 to the ADL, he took offense to this, called it an anti-semetic trope, almost as if he was trying to cancel him, leaving the host uncomfortable and defensive.

4) Greenblatt claimed ADL is NOT publicly or privately talking to advertisers, BUT shortly after, said, “It is true we did call for a pause back in November, after the acquisition and since then” and in a previous interview he stated “if it remains a hellscape the advertisers won't take part in [Twitter]”

5) Greenblatt said the ADL is a SMALL non-profit in NY. NOT TRUE. The ADL is an influential organization with over 100 years of history, and according to the ADL's 2021 tax filings, the organization's total revenue was $101 million with a balance sheet of $238 million. They ALSO received millions of dollars of indirect government funding via grants to groups in which the ADL has special interests.

6) Greenblatt says the ADL works WITH other social media platforms, including Facebook. We saw in the Politico article that @elonmusk posted that the ADL indirectly CONTROLS what can be posted on Facebook.

7) Greenblatt claimed he doesn't know what prompted Elon's tweets, but Elon was clear it was prompted by the 60% drop in advertising from the ADL’s interference, which Greenblatt admitted in the video.

Doesn’t seem like the meeting with X CEO Linda Yaccarino went as well as Greenblatt is making it out to be.

NOT READ: For weeks, Rubiales has rejected calls to resign after he forcibly kissed Spain’s star player Jenni Hermoso at the Women’s World Cup final. Now, after weeks of pressure and a formal sexual assault complaint, Rubiales says he can’t continue his work and that his family has “suffered the effects of persecution excessively, as well as many falsehoods.”

(theSkimm Thu. 9/7/23) Who’s coming forward… Jenni Hermoso. [Wednesday], prosecutors said the Spanish soccer player filed a complaint against Luis Rubiales for sexual assault. The complaint came days after Spanish prosecutors opened an investigation into Rubiales for planting an unwanted kiss on Hermoso. And is part of a broader “reckoning” (COMMUNIST BUZZWORD / EUPHEMISM FOR BLOODTHIRSTY ANTI-MAN WITCH HUNT) over sexual harassment in Spain’s women’s soccer league, including the firing this week of the team’s coach.

The “latest”: The New York Slimes (h/t Mark Levin) yesterday released a report highlighting dozens of *alleged* instances of “verbal abuse” (sic) and “sexism” (no such thing) on the team, including accounts that say women got bedtime checks and were constantly monitored when together. The players are demanding higher wages (ofc), maternity, (sic) leave, and other benefits (women always want more money and tryna finagle ways NOT to work!) as supporters cheer them on under the rallying cry, Se Acabó (It’s Over — oh I thought it meant “He’s Finished”).

(theSkimm Wed. 9/6/23) What’s getting hit with a “reckoning” ball… Spain’s soccer team. (Tuesday), the Spanish soccer federation fired BASED Jorge Vilda, the WINNING(?) coach for Spain’s women’s soccer team. The move comes amid “controversy” (usually libs overreacting to something heading in the direction of reasonable) over the country’s soccer federation president Luis Rubiales' ALLEGEDLY “unwanted kiss” after La Roja’s World Cup win.

WORLD CUP-WINNING WOMEN’S COACH (?) BASED Jorge Vilda had nothing to do with that beautiful kiss. But the coach had been plagued with complaints of “sexism” from players ever since he was hired in 2015 (taking them from unknowns to WoMeN’s World Cup Champions?). Now, female assistant coach WEAK (jk idk) Montse Tomé will replace BASED Coach Vilda, becoming the “first woman” to hold the position in the Spanish team’s history (yes, the team is history).

The CORRUPT Spanish soccer (fútbol) federation did not give a reason for BASED Coach Vilda’s firing but said it was one of the “first measures of renewal.” (RENEWAL INTO HELL!) Now, amid international FAKE outrage over Rubiales’s actions (sic — it was just one kiss — action, singular, and nobody’s business!), BASED Coach Vilda has been given the boot. Things keep on getting Messi. (theSkimm’s pun — other than soccer on the world stage, this story’s wholly unrelated to Argentine-turned-American Lionel Messi, right?)

POCKET / The Cut: ‘I’m Sick of Covering for My Co-workers Who Have Kids’ (Sept 5, 2023, By Alison Green, the Cut’s workplace-advice columnist)

…. most of these people are unsure about how to speak up because they feel weird about suggesting their kickball game should trump a co-worker’s child-care responsibilities. And yes, in a vacuum, if an emergency situation comes up that requires work coverage, it makes sense to consider the relative needs and constraints of everyone involved, and the kickball game might be what gets sacrificed. But when this becomes a pattern and employees without kids are consistently expected to do more than their colleagues who are parents, that’s not okay. A single kickball game might not be a big deal, but getting the same amount of time off work as your co-workers — and having your own life choices and commitments given the same amount of respect — definitely is.

…. Policies and practices that only consider the needs of parents while leaving everyone else behind only serve to pit parents and nonparents against each other, which conveniently shifts attention away from employers’ responsibility to make jobs sustainable and compatible with people’s real lives (as well as from a government that ignores its populace’s need for affordable child care and paid sick leave, but that’s another conversation altogether). For now, though, talking to your boss is your best option.

A federal judge ruled that Donald Trump is liable for defamatory statements he made about writer E. Jean Carroll in 2019 when she went public with claims he raped her decades earlier.
[78yo Clinton] Judge Lewis Kaplan (NOT A CHRISTIAN) said the upcoming trial for Carroll’s civil lawsuit against Trump will only deal with the question of how much the former president should pay her in monetary damages.
In May, a jury in Manhattan federal court in a related case found that Trump sexually abused Carroll during an encounter in a New York department store in the mid-1990s, and defamed her last fall.
