(Drudge) DHS RELEASING 1,400 ILLEGALS INTO USA EVERY DAY… 7,000 illegals into the U.S. in 5 days! (Breitbart) I’ve said Trump’s DHS expanded catch-and-release: feds busing border crossers into nearby border cities and dropping them off with the usually false promise they’ll attend their immigration & asylum hearing, sometimes years later. The overwhelming majority of border crossers & illegals are never deported once released. It’s estimated between 11 and 22M illegals (maybe 30M) in the country, mostly in California, New York, Florida, Texas, and Illinois.
Over the past five days, El Paso, Texas, has had to absorb 2,800 of the 7,000 border crossers and illegal aliens released into the country. Likewise, San Antonio, Texas, has had to take about 2,200, while about 1,200 were dropped off in Phoenix, Arizona, and 800 in San Diego, California.
Again, It’s projected that, by the end of the year, DHS will have released nearly 460,000 border crossers and illegal aliens into American communities — in addition to the projected half a million illegal aliens who will successfully cross the U.S.-Mexico border this year, undetected by federal officials.
(Drudge) Ex-Vice President Biden launches 2020 presidential campaign on Twitter. In a video his team Tweeted for him, Biden focused on the 2017 deadly clash between what AP calls “white supremacists” (which don’t exist) and counter protesters (BLM & Antira) in Charlottesville, Virginia — which the mayor had cops stand down and allow attacks from the left on the right. Biden noted Trump’s comments that there were some “very fine people” on both sides of the violent encounter, which left one woman dead.
“With those words, the president of the United States assigned a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it,” Biden said. “And in that moment, I knew the threat to this nation was unlike any I had seen in my lifetime.”
“We are in the battle for the soul of this nation,” Biden continued. “If we give Donald Trump eight years in the White House, he will forever and fundamentally alter the character of this nation — who we are. And I cannot stand by and watch that happen.” (Yeah, Trump will make it better.)
(Drudge) SHOCK POLL: BIDEN OPENS 8-POINT LEAD ON TRUMP (Morning Consult) Biden is the front-runner over Dems AND Trump, he’s leading 42% to 34% over Trump. The former VP’s net favorability has taken a 5-point hit since Morning Consult began tracking in late January. They did some hit pieces on him. Biden has a significant edge over Trump among women (17 points), millennials (22 points) and independents (10 points) — not so independent after all.
At this point in the 2012 election cycle, then-President Barack Obama led Republican Mitt Romney by several points, polling consistently in the mid-to-high 40s, even after the 2010 tea party wave and backlash to the Affordable Care Act. (Whatever.)
Trump tweeted: Welcome to the race Sleepy Joe. I only hope you have the intelligence, long in doubt, to wage a successful primary campaign. It will be nasty - you will be dealing with people who truly have some very sick & demented ideas. But if you make it, I will see you at the Starting Gate!

(Drudge) Leader of armed militia group attacked in jail… Larry Hopkins, 69, was arrested by the FBI Saturday and accused of being a felon with a gun in his home in an incident way back in 2017. His group United Constitutional Patriots say they’ve helped DHS stop and capture over 5,000 illegals in two months down in New Mexico. The ACLU and liberal female governor went after him. The ACLU called them “fascist.” Well, he was hospitalized after a jailhouse attack Tuesday night, beaten by three other inmates in the jail's television viewing room.
I mentioned this yesterday: (Drudge) Trump suggested the Mexican army disarmed US troops as cover for drug smuggling… (AP) He’s sending “armed soldiers” to the border. “Mexico is not doing nearly enough in apprehending & returning!” Mexican officials pretend to have “deep concern” about our militias being at the border, meanwhile they have cartels and non-stop illegals and smugglers flowing through.
Update: Trump Renews threat to close border… (Reuters) A very big Caravan of over 20,000 people started up through Mexico,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “It has been reduced in size by Mexico but is still coming. Mexico must apprehend the remainder or we will be forced to close that section of the Border & call up the Military.”
This is dumb, and won’t help bad schools: (Drudge) CA May Ban Schools From Suspending Students For Defiance Of Teachers… (CBS Sacramento) The California State Senate voted to ban schools and principals from suspending students for “willful defiance” of teachers, staff, and administrators. They approved SB 419 Monday by a vote of 30-8. It moves to the Assembly next. A similar bill was vetoed by Governor Jerry Brown last legislative session. But now we have Gavin Newsom (with the BETA BABY!). Under the new version (Senate Bill 419), students in grades 4-8 wouldn’t be suspended for disrupting school activities or willfully defying school authorities, including teachers and staff. The bill would also ban schools from suspending students in grades 9-12 for the same thing until January 1, 2025. The law would apply to both public and charter schools.
Existing law already prohibits schools from suspending children in grades K-3 for disrupting or willful defiance. Existing law also prevents schools from recommending the expulsion of students in all grades for disrupting or willful defiance.
Here it is, you guessed it! Research has shown the category of willful defiance was disproportionately used to discipline minority students, specifically African-Americans. African-American students made up 5.6% of enrollment in California schools in 2017-18, but accounted for 15.6% of willful defiance suspensions. Conversely, white students made up 23.2% of statewide enrollment but made up only 20.2% of willful defiance suspensions. (Because whites are less defiant! Duh!)
The bill’s author, Senator Nancy Skinner (D-9th District), previously talked about the need for the bill, saying: “Under this highly subjective category, students are sent to an empty home, with no supervision, and denied valuable instructional time for anything from failing to turn in homework, not paying attention, or refusing to follow directions, taking off a coat or hat, or swearing in class.”
In former Gov. Brown’s veto message last year, he wrote, “Teachers and principals are on the front lines educating our children and are in the best position to make decisions about order and discipline in the classroom. That’s why I vetoed a similar bill in 2012….”

(Drudge) University hosts no-whites-allowed meetings… to promote inclusivity. (The College Fix) Wake Forest University is hosting a series of “listening sessions” for faculty and staff of color that aim to advance inclusion efforts on campus — amid ongoing racial tensions on campus, including a protest Monday at which some students decried the “white supremacy” that allegedly runs rampant at the private, North Carolina institution. “Dear faculty and staff colleagues, this is a reminder about our upcoming listening sessions on inclusion that I am holding for faculty and staff of color over the next several weeks,” stated an April 18 email from Michele Gillespie, dean of the college, to campus employees. “... For staff who identify as staff of color ONLY.”
People demanded “zero-tolerance policy for white supremacy,” citing a “racist” Instagram post joking about building a wall between Wake Forest and a Historically Black College across town, blackface photos from old yearbooks from the good old days, and two administrators who foolishly apologized after posing in front of a Confederate flag in a photo.
One professor ANONYMOUSLY said, “It’s hard to respond to the ridiculous accusation that Wake Forest tolerates or encourages ‘white supremacy’ and inflicts ‘trauma on students of color.'”
(Drudge) Cafe That Imposed 'Gender Surcharge' On Men Closes Down… (InfoWars) The VEGAN FEMINIST CAFE in Australia had IMPOSED an 18% “GENDER SURCHARGE” ON MEN, and gave women priority seating. The Handsome Her cafe, which only opened a few years ago and was located in inner city Melbourne, described itself as “by women, for women”. The venue attracted headlines in 2017 for challenging the “gender pay gap” (which doesn’t exist) by charging men extra. At the time, the cafe’s management claimed the attention left them “jam-packed with customers showing their support”.
(Drudge) Bernie gets tough reception at minority women's event, signaling challenges ahead… (LMT Online & Wash. Post) The groans erupted halfway through Bernie Sanders' appearance Wednesday at a presidential candidates' forum sponsored by She the People, a group that aims to drive up voter participation among women of color. Before an audience of about 1,700, many of them African-American and Hispanic women, the moderator asked Sanders, I-Vt., how he would handle the rise in white supremacy. Sanders spoke of fighting discrimination and running a campaign "to bring our people together around an agenda that speaks to all people" - then returned to a familiar message on universal health care. "Come on!" a woman shouted from the back, as others began to jeer and boo.
"I was actually at the March on Washington with Dr. King back in 1963, and - as somebody who actively supported Jesse Jackson's campaign, as one of the few white elected officials to do so in '88 - I have dedicated my life to the fight against racism and sexism and discrimination of all forms," Sanders said. That prompted audible groans.
Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., repeated an earlier pledge to choose a woman as his running mate. Former congressman Beto O'Rourke, D-Texas, endorsed an Equal Rights Amendment.
Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., who has faced criticism from some liberals who think she was too tough as San Francisco's district attorney, promised to pardon low-level drug offenders if she wins the White House.
