Trump: 'Fake News Media' Protects 'Sleepy Joe Biden' (Hake News, Mon 9/23/19)
TOP OF FIRST HOUR NEWS: Monday, September 23, 2019 -
(Drudge) TRUMP THE INVINCIBLE? OR SO THE LIBERAL MEDIA THINK HE THINKS, SPECIFICALLY Wash. Post writers Philip Rucker, Robert Costa, and Rachael Bade (LIBERALS!). They say the day after he crowed “NO COLLUSION, NO OBSTRUCTION” after Bob Mueller’s failed Congressional hearing, he allegedly sought to collude with another foreign country in the coming election — pressing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to dig up what he believed would be damaging information about one of his leading Democratic challengers, former vice president Joe Biden. His personal attorney Rudy Giulianni was allegedly involved too. “We haven’t seen anything like this in my lifetime,” said William A. Galston, a senior fellow in governance at the Brookings Institution who graduated from college just before Watergate. “He appears to be daring the rest of the political system to stop him — and if it doesn’t, he’ll go further.” The effort — which came as the Trump administration was withholding financial and military support from Ukraine to help what NY Times calls “the small democracy” [Ukraine] protect itself against “Russian aggression” — illustrates what these liberals claim is Trump’s expansive view of executive power and what appears to be a cavalier attitude about legal limits on his conduct. On Saturday Trump derided Democrats and the media for what he dubbed “the Ukraine Witch Hunt.”
Trump’s tweet: Now that the Democrats and the Fake News Media have gone “bust” on every other of their Witch Hunt schemes, they are trying to start one just as ridiculous as the others, call it the Ukraine Witch Hunt, while at the same time trying to protect Sleepy Joe Biden. Will fail again!
(Drudge) Trump Confirms He Discussed Biden With Ukraine… (CBS News) Mr. Trump told reporters at the White House before departing on a trip to Texas, "The conversation I had was largely congratulatory, with largely corruption, all of the corruption taking place and largely the fact that we don't want our people like Vice President Biden and his son [contributing] to the corruption already in the Ukraine." The far-left CBS calls it an extraordinary development in the unfolding dispute over a “whistleblower complaint” by a member of the “intelligence community.” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi demanded the administration provide the complaint to lawmakers, warning of a "grave new chapter of lawlessness" in a letter to congressional colleagues on Sunday. She called the standoff "an emergency that must be addressed immediately."
PELOSI HINTS AT IMPEACHMENT… (Axios quotes her letter) "If the Administration persists in blocking this whistleblower from disclosing to Congress a serious possible breach of constitutional duties by the President, they will be entering a grave new chapter of lawlessness which will take us into a whole new stage of investigation." And House so-called Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) said Sunday that the whistleblower controversy could leave Democrats with no other choice but impeachment.
The Wall Street Journal reported Mr. Trump urged Zelensky to investigate the Bidens eight times. The president and Rudy Giuliani have accused Biden of acting inappropriately in 2016 by pushing Ukraine to oust then-prosecutor general Viktor Shokin, whom Western officials (PROBABLY LIBERALS) widely denounced as corrupt. The fired prosecutor had opened an investigation into a Ukrainian natural gas company whose board members included Hunter Biden, the former vice president's son. Joe Biden said Saturday he had "never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings," accusing the president of "violating every basic norm of a president" by pressuring Zelensky to investigate the son of a potential general election opponent. Biden said, "Trump's doing this because he knows I'll beat him like a drum. And he's using the abuse of power and every element of the presidency to try to do something to smear me," and Biden called on the president to release the transcript of the July call with Zelensky.

Jesse counsels with some callers.
One guy’s priest said not attending mass is a mortal sin. He grew up Catholic, but now sees Jesse is right.
A woman us really upset with herself and her husband who spends money frivolously. They sleep in separate bedrooms. Does he want to be with her? Ask him! She talks about their children.
Joe Biden told the truth in the 90s about young men born out-of-wedlock to fatherless homes, many of them turning into predators.
One guy broke down crying about issues. I think he cheated on his wife.
TOP OF SECOND HOUR NEWS: Monday, September 23, 2019 -
(Drudge) IRAN PREPS WAR… (The Telegraph via Yahoo News) Iran's president warns America to 'stay away' as it unveils long range missiles that could strike US bases. Hassan Rouhani said the presence of such troops in the Gulf has always brought “pain and misery”, in a speech made at an annual military parade to commemorate the war with Iraq. Mr Rohani spoke in response to an announcement made by the US on Friday that it was sending more troops to Saudi Arabia after an attack on Saudi oil facilities both nations blame on Iran. "Wherever the Americans or our enemies have gone, there has been insecurity afterward,” the Iranian president said. “The farther you keep yourselves from our region and our nations, the more security there will be." At the parade, the Islamic republic displayed the Khordad-3 air defence system that shot down a US drone in June. It also showcased the long-range, surface-to-air Bavar 373 missile that can travel more than 1,250 miles, bringing it in range of US bases in the region and arch-foe Israel. Saudi Arabia and the US accuse Iran of attacking Saudi oil facilities on September 14, the biggest such assault on the world’s top oil exporter. Iran denies involvement in the attack, which was claimed by Yemen’s Houthi movement, a group aligned with Iran and currently fighting a Saudi-led alliance in the Yemeni civil war.
The SAUDI KINGDOM WANTS ACTION… but their allies are wary. (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia will seek to make a case at a global gathering in New York this week for concerted action to punish and deter arch-foe Iran after strikes on Saudi oil plants rattled global markets and exposed the kingdom's vulnerability to attack. However, even Saudi Arabia’s main allies the United States and the United Arab Emirates aren’t excited about a conventional military confrontation which may spark a war in the Gulf and drag in other oil producers, diplomats say. As it tries to build a coalition, Riyadh (Saudi Arabia’s capital) is supposed to provide evidence to the U.N. General Assembly which it says will prove Iran was behind the Sept. 14 drone and missile assault which initially drastically affected its oil output, a view shared by Washington. Riyadh says Iranian weapons were launched from the north and that it is working to pinpoint the exact location.
Iran has denied any involvement and vowed to retaliate against even a limited military response. It has criticised the accusations as part of a campaign of "maximum pressure" launched by President Trump on Tehran after he quit Obama’s 2015 Iran Nuclear Deal last year and widened sanctions to choke off Iran's oil exports.
Inside America's Aborted Attack… (NY Times via MSN) President Trump met with congressional leaders June 20, and had already decided to retaliate against Iran for shooting down an American surveillance drone. But 3 hours later he changed his mind. He told the Pentagon to call off the airstrikes with only 10 minutes to go.
The president has threatened to “totally destroy” enemies but also promised to extricate the U.S. from Middle East wars. The commander in chief more cautious than critics have assumed! Three months later, some of Mr. Trump’s so-called allies fear it was taken by Iran as weakness, inviting the attack oil facilities in Saudi Arabia. Trump called it long-overdue restraint. We’ve wasted too many lives and dollars overseas.
(Drudge) GALLUP: Public Divided About Recession Coming Within Year… (THAT’S WHAT THEY SEEM TO WANT US TO BELIEVE.) 50% say economy is fair or poor and 48% say it's getting worse. 49% in U.S. think a recession is at least fairly likely in the next year. (The current expectation of a recession is nine points higher than it was in October 2007, just two months before the so-called Great Recession began, but slightly below a February 2001 reading, one month before that eight-month-long recession.)
Gallup’s Economic Confidence Index is +17 in September, down from +24 in August, marking the lowest level since the government shutdown ended in January (the range is from +100 to -100).
A USA Today (FAR-LEFT OUTLET) columnist Ken Fisher asks: Will massive debt really doom us? In Manhattan, a giant clock displays not only the total — almost $23 trillion for now — but your share, ticking up every second. It’s all confusing.

(Drudge) Trump heads to UN with long list of deals he's yet to close… (BE PATIENT!) AP calls Trump “a self-described deal-maker.” There are challenges with Iran, North Korea, the Afghan Taliban, Israel and the Palestinians — not to mention a number of trade pacts. Some are inching forward. Some have stalled. Trump has said repeatedly that he is in “no rush” to wrap up the deals. He is nearly three years into his presidency and the 2020 election looms.
SPEAKING OF DEALS… (Drudge) GM strikers worried but determined: 'This is America'... (WHATEVER THAT MEANS!) I GUESS THIS IS DAY 8… since the UAW went on strike at 11:59 p.m. Sept. 15. (USA Today) An estimated 46,000 hourly employees wait while GM and union officials negotiate a new four-year contract at the Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit. One guy striking claims, “I love GM,” he said as he picketed outside the Flint Assembly Plant truck entrance. He went on, “We put our heart and souls into the work. We really put our bodies to the test. And we want GM to make it so we can have a comfortable life, so we can send our kids to college, live in a decent house and buy a dependable vehicle. I mean, we buy GM products.” His fellow GM worker wife said, “We’re holding onto our faith. It’s all we can do now.” She said the family will do what it takes to survive on the $250 a week strike pay as long as necessary. She said, "God is watching over us." (PSH!)
For many UAW members, it started a decade ago — when the union made significant concessions during the economic downturn to help GM recover from bankruptcy. And, now, with billions in profits and tens of millions in executive pay, workers say it's their turn to feel some extra love. They believe they deserve higher wages and to keep their comprehensive health care paid almost entirely by the company. While loyalty to GM supposedly runs deep, loyalty to one of the most powerful labor unions in America runs deeper. (A SHAME!)
Some guy said, "Support for labor is one of the backbones of our country. This is not just what we do but who we are," (RME) said Bill Stroup, age 69, an electrician for Aramark, which is also striking GM after a year and a half without a contract. "I've been a UAW member for 45 years. I pray for the safety of people out here and the success of an agreement."
Monroe Murphy, 60, of Clayton Township has been with GM for 24 years. He's a district committeeman for UAW Local 598 who said he isn't sleeping well or eating right but he won't give up or give in. "This is America right here." (SMH, NO IT’S SOCIALISM!)
Far-left propagandist Michael Moore is from Flint, and he did a hit piece on GM for shuttering its plants.
When Flint switched from Detroit water to cheaper Flint water with high levels of chloride in 2014, it caused pipes to corrode. GM reported immediate issues with rusting engine blocks, and water servicing GM was switched immediately so products weren't ruined. USA Today says it was the people, not the company, who would suffer. They have a black female mayor Karen Weaver who came into office in 2015 and went to the Obama White House after declaring an emergency over the water crisis.
(Drudge) GAME OVER: BROWN SAYS DONE WITH NFL… Antonio Brown tweeted several tweets and deleted most of them (maybe all but one!) trashing Patriots owner Bob Kraft who was also accused in a prostitution sting, acting like he wasn’t treated as well as the owner.
“Will not be playing in the @NFL anymore these owners can cancel deals do whatever they want at anytime we will see if the @NFLPA [players association] hold them accountable sad they can just void guarantees anytime going on 40m 2 months will see if they pay up !”

(Drudge) GM strikers: 'This is America'... THIS IS DAY 8… since the UAW went on strike at 11:59 p.m. Sept. 15. (USA Today) About 46,000 hourly employees are striking GM. One guy claims, “I love GM….
