Even libs talking about bitcoin now
(Far-left female-run outlet TheSkimm) Bitcoin is back. This is not 2017. The cryptocurrency (or digital currency) started in 2009. It's decentralized — not controlled by banks or the government (NICE). People buy, sell, trade, and even mine it (which I don’t understand, but Anchor Baby Nick and Bill the Black Engineer do). Transactions happen through a peer-to-peer network. Its value is volatile — possibly changing from hundreds to thousands of dollars in a week. Three years ago, bitcoin currency nearly reached a $20,000 record. A year later, it fell to just a few thousand dollars. Now, bitcoin's surging again.
Yesterday, the value of one bitcoin rose above $20,000 for the first time. Today, it hit a new high of more than $23,000. The COMMIE SHUTDOWNS (IN THE NAME OF THE VIRUS) may have something to do with those new records. In times of uncertainty, some people look for different ways to store their money (could be in gold or silver or...bitcoin).
In areas like Africa and Venezuela, cryptocurrencies reportedly help locals avoid going through a banking system or government with high inflation in order to run their businesses. In Iran, cryptocurrencies may have allowed people to bypass US sanctions (GENIUS!).
Amid the CHINESE/COMMIE VIRUS SHUTDOWNS, bitcoin has benefitted in part from low interest rates. One analyst says bitcoin's value could reach $55,000 by the end of next year.
Bitcoin is still pretty new (EVEN THOUGH IT’S OLD NEWS FOR SOME OF Y’ALL), and it hasn't done as well as more traditional forms of investing (like stocks and bonds) – unless bought it before the 2017 surge. Some businesses have been accepting bitcoin for years (Overstock.com, Expedia, Square, others). And experts think other cryptocurrencies (Litecoin, Ethereum) could continue to become more mainstream.
Remember the Charlie Hebdo massacre?
(TheSkimm) In France yesterday, a court convicted the accomplices of the Muslim terrorists who attacked the office of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.
Following the publication of controversial cartoons of their so-called Prophet Muhammad, two Islamist assailants entered the magazine's Paris offices in January 2015 (ALMOST 6 YEARS AGO) and murdered 12 people, injuring 11 others. An accomplice later killed a female policeman and four others at a kosher supermarket. Cops confronted and killed the three attackers. Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility.
Now, 14 others were found guilty on charges ranging from membership of a criminal network (ooOOoo) to complicity in the attacks. (Wikipedia) However, three of these accomplices were still not yet captured (having fled to Iraq or Syria allegedly) and were tried in absentia.[5] Yet Female Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo said "justice was served."
Since that time, there have been dozens of violent terror attacks including more than 131 killed in shootings, bombings, and hostage taking in November 2015, over 86 killed in the Nice truck attack on Bastille Day in July 2016, other vehicle rammings, stabbings, shootings, and beheadings even multiple attacks just last month!
And the supposedly peaceful Muslims are STILL smearing weak liberal President Emmanuel Macron who’s TRYING to make a stand for free speech and security for his poor country (BTW: he gets along ok with Trump at times, but was at one point a SOCIALIST, and has a wife 25 years older than him who was his schoolteacher when he was 15 [she was 40], poor guy was a classmate of her daughter, reportedly).

Communist judge pushes ACLU pro-criminal chaos!
(The Epoch Times) California Sheriff Refuses to Release 1,800 Inmates After Judge's Order
County Superior Court Judge Peter Wilson (a Schwarzenegger-appointed judge who came out of the 80s South Africa DOJ) on Friday ordered the release of 50 percent—or 1,858 inmates out of 3,716—to curb the Chinese/Commie Virus.
“I have no intention of releasing any of these individuals from my custody,” said Sheriff Don Barnes, pushing back against the order. “We are going to file an appeal and we’re going to fight it and if the judge has any intent of releasing any one of these individuals, he will have to go through line by line, name by name, and tell me which ones he is ordering released.”
Sheriff Barnes tweeted a statement that many were suspected or convicted of violent crimes. He appeared on Fox & Friends the other day.
So-called “Judge” Wilson’s order arose from a lawsuit filed in April by the un-American Civil Liberties Union (the commie ACLU) on behalf of inmates, that sought to protect the Orange County Jail’s most vulnerable.
“Public safety does not just mean crime,” ACLU’s Jacob Reisberg (not Reisburg, apparently) said, defending Wilson’s ruling. “Public safety also means, is there a hospital bed open if you get sick? And if there’s a massive outbreak in the jail, which this depopulation order is trying to avoid, there will not be hospital capacity in Orange County for people on the outside who get COVID.”
Barnes explained that to date, some 1,400 low-level offenders have already been released since March. The remaining inmates are “serious offenders,” he said.
“Of the medically vulnerable, 90 of them are in custody for murder or attempted murder, 94 for child molestation,” Barnes added.
Dems in NV & NY treated Christians worse than everyone else!
(Court Sides With Churches, Reverses Nevada's COVID-Restrictions on Houses of Worship)
(The Epoch Times and AP) The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday sided with two Nevada churches that earlier this year challenged Democrat Gov. Steve Sisolak’s limits on places of worship to a maximum of 50 people or 25 percent of capacity, whichever is less!
Other businesses, including restaurants and casinos, are subject to 25 percent capacity but no hard cap on people.
Church lawyers (including Alliance Defending Freedom) argued that the governor had arbitrarily ordered tougher restrictions on religion compared to other businesses in the state.
A lower court refused to grant a preliminary injunction (to prevent enforcement while the lawsuit happens).
The three-member panel wrote that “even in a pandemic [their word], the Constitution cannot be put away and forgotten. The restrictions ... effectively barring many from attending religious services, strike at the ... heart of the First Amendment’s guarantee of religious liberty.”
Recent SCOTUS ruling forced their hand
They referred to a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that blocked COVID-19 restrictions on houses of worship in New York as “a seismic shift in Free Exercise law...”
“The Supreme Court’s decision in Roman Catholic Diocese compels us to reverse the district court,” the filing reads. “Just like the New York restrictions, the Directive treats numerous secular activities and entities significantly better than religious worship services. Casinos, bowling alleys, retail businesses, restaurants, arcades, and other similar secular entities are limited to 50 percent of fire-code capacity, yet houses of worship are limited to fifty people regardless of their fire-code capacities.”
In a separate opinion, the panel said that the state’s restrictions “treats numerous secular activities and entities significantly better than religious worship services.”
