Pence’s lawyers not wild about a contested election
Gohmert Sued Pence After Lawyers Failed to Reach Agreement: Court Filing (The Epoch Times) Vice President Mike Pence did not agree to a plan to overturn the results of the election, according to a new court filing.
Attorneys for Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) said they spoke with government lawyers representing Pence about the upcoming joint session of Congress, where electoral votes will be counted.
Gohmert and a host of others, including Republican electors in Arizona, filed a lawsuit against Pence this week, asking a court to give Pence “exclusive authority” to decide which Electoral College votes should be counted during the upcoming joint session of Congress.
The case revolves around Pence’s role as president of the Senate. Like Biden in 2017, Pence will preside over the counting of electoral votes during the joint session of Congress next month.
Gohmert is among the dozen or so House members planning on challenging electoral votes during the joint session on Jan. 6, 2021. At least one senator is needed to sustain a challenge, but no senators have thus far committed to objecting.
Gohmert and others say Pence has “exclusive authority and sole discretion under the 12th Amendment to determine which slates of electors for a state, or neither, may be counted [for disputed battleground swing states].”
The power of the vice president to count or reject electoral votes is disputed.
U.S. District Judge Jeremy Kernodle, a Trump appointee, is over the case.

Wisconsin drama
Trump Campaign Asks Supreme Court to Set Aside Wisconsin’s Election (The Epoch Times) and to allow the Republican-controlled legislature to choose how to cast its 10 electoral votes. They ask the Supreme Court to declare the state election “failed.”
One previous lawsuit was rejected by a narrowly divided Wisconsin Supreme Court on Dec. 14 in a 4-3 ruling, which saw the court’s three liberal justices joined by Supreme Court Justice Brian Hagedorn, a conservative, who said three of Trump’s four claims were filed too late and the other was without merit.

Federal Prosecutor Who Probed Election [Shenanigan] Allegations Is Resigning (The Epoch Times) David Freed, U.S. attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, is resigning midnight on Jan. 1, 2021, his office announced Tuesday.
Freed announced in September (BEFORE the election) that discarded mail-in ballots, most for Trump, were found in Luzerne County. Freed said in a letter to a county elections director that the FBI recovered nine discarded military ballots, seven of which were cast for Trump, and four apparently official mail-in ballot envelopes.
County officials later placed the blame for the situation on a contractor, who they said was fired. The contractor did not appear to have been charged with a crime.
“From the initial reports we’ve been given, this was a bad error,” Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar, a Democrat, said during an online news conference in late September. .... NO WORD on whether the investigation was completed and what it uncovered.
This prosecutor did not indicate why he was resigning; usually prosecutors are fired and replaced.
Covid drama: SoCal stays closed!
Stay-at-Home Orders Extended Indefinitely for Southern California (The Epoch Times) California’s health department announced that stay-at-home orders for Southern California and San Joaquin Valley and are being extended indefinitely amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Tough restrictions imposed earlier this month on social and economic life were extended in densely populated Southern California—home to more than half of the state’s 40 million people—based on data showing intensive care units there likely to stay filled at or near capacity for weeks to come. Same with San Joaquin Valley!
California Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly said that the regional stay-at-home order will persist “until the ICU projections are above or equal to 15 percent” in a given region. He claimed that at least 90 percent of Los Angeles County hospitals had to divert incoming emergency patients to other facilities for much of the day over the past weekend.
No hospitals have yet formally notified public health authorities that they have reached the point of operating on a “crisis care” basis.

Louisiana Congressman-Elect Luke Letlow Dies From CCP Virus (The Epoch Times) Louisiana Representative-elect Luke Letlow (R) passed away on Dec. 29 due to complications from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) virus, commonly known as the coronavirus. He was 41 years old.
He was admitted to a hospital on Dec. 19 after testing positive for the virus. He was placed in intensive care on Dec. 22.
He left behind a widow and two children. He was set to be sworn in on Sunday!

Unfortunately, to be a GOP candidate, he had to associate with those who didn’t care enough to protect him. This is the legacy of covidiots and all who disinform them.
The name Herman Cain was trending after Luke Letlow died. Liberals gloating and accusing Trump of murder because of their self-righteousness about covid rules.
There was an October video put out by Luke Letlow on Twitter, and he wrote: "Our economy is vital to future of our state and our country. 'So while we've been cautious and I think both the state and federal level have taken numerous precautions for COVID-19. We're now at a place if we do not open our economy we're in real danger.'”… And the replies are just nasty.

NY Times correspondent Mike Baker on Twitter: "Asked if Letlow had any underlying conditions that would have made his death more likely, Dr. GE Ghali said: "None. All COVID related." And he shared NOLA article (Congressman-elect Luke Letlow, 41, dies from coronavirus complications; 'we're all in disbelief') One lady was like, “hm, hashtag metabolic health.”
The NOLA article states: He was in critical condition but had recently shown signs of improvement when he "apparently suffered a cardiac event this evening that was refractory to all resuscitation efforts," said Dr. G.E. Ghali, of LSU Health Shreveport.
Ghali previously said Letlow was being treated with the antiviral drug Remdesivir and steroids. Asked if Letlow had any underlying conditions that would have made his death more likely, Ghali said in a text message, "none. All COVID related."

German COMMIE wants a Climate Lockdown
German politician suggests keeping Covid-19 lockdowns to fight climate change… (Revolver) Humanity should sacrifice “personal freedom” just as many nations did during the Covid-19 pandemic in order to successfully fight climate change, a German MP has said, adding that there will “never” be a vaccine against CO2.
Germany had barely started its coronavirus vaccination campaign when a Social Democratic MP, Karl Lauterbach, warned that his compatriots need to brace themselves for yet another challenge: global warming.
“We need measures to deal with climate change that are similar to the restrictions on personal freedom [imposed] to combat the pandemic,” the professor of health economics and epidemiology at the University of Cologne wrote in a guest piece for Die Welt newspaper. He added that he hoped climate change issues would play “a dominant role” during the upcoming election campaign ahead of the federal ballot scheduled for September 2021.
The politician said he “had an impression” that Germany, Europe, and particularly the US “would not have been able to defeat the Covid pandemic without the development of a vaccine.” But he’s upset that “there will never be a vaccine against CO2.”
He said: “My experience of combating the coronavirus pandemic has unfortunately made me extremely pessimistic about whether we will be able to successfully stop climate change in time.”
He said lockdown is “necessary” until the new cases rate falls “well below 50 per 100,000 people in a week,” the epidemiologist said, calling on fellow citizens to “have discipline, altruism and … patience to achieve this.”

Alleged Nashville bomber Anthony Quinn Warner ‘hated cops’ and loved weed… (Revolver / far-left Daily Beast) according to a former co-worker Tom Lundborg, from younger days at Anthony Warner's dad’s ACE Alarms. “He was kind of a hippie. Had long hair, a Magnum, P.I. mustache... He was a smart, cocky kind of guy.” He disliked authority.
“He was a little guy, the silent type, but nice-looking to girls ... My dad would go to dive bars with him. He was popular with the females in there, you could just tell.”
He was known to have dogs, dunno if any were blown up.
He said Warner “betrayed” his parents and started his own alarm company, but “he didn’t have the personality” to deal with customers.
One guy stated: “The Tony Warner we knew is a nice person who never exhibited any behavior which was less than professional.”
Investigators are reportedly looking into whether Warner bought into conspiracy theories about 5G technology.

Insufficient Evidence to Bring Federal Charges Against Officers Involved in Tamir Rice Shooting: DOJ (The Epoch Times) The Justice Department announced Tuesday it will not bring federal criminal charges against two Cleveland police officers in the 2014 killing of 12-year-old Tamir Rice, saying there was insufficient evidence to proceed with charging the policemen.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) said in a statement that video of the shooting was of too poor a quality for prosecutors to conclusively establish what had happened and that the evidence in the case was overall insufficient to establish beyond a reasonable doubt that the officers acted wilfully to deprive an individual of a federally protected right.
To bring federal civil rights charges in cases such as this, the Justice Department must prove that an officer’s actions wilfully broke the law and are not simply the result of a mistake, bad judgment, or negligence.
