Rush Limbaugh Receives Medal of Freedom at Trump State of the Union (Hake News, Weds. 2/5/20)

(Drudge) At the annual State of the Union address last night President TRUMP DECLARES the 'BEST IS YET TO COME' and PELOSI RIPS UP the SPEECH. SUCH A NASTY WOMAN! (Mediaite writer Aidan McLaughlin reports) Trump’s speech included hardline immigration rhetoric and boasts about the economy, and also featured the president awarding a schoolgirl with a scholarship and reuniting a military family. Pelosi also put on a show. After Trump appeared to snub her attempt at a handshake (she also snubbed him by not saying the traditional words welcoming the President as a "distinct honor"), she was an animated presence behind the president during his 90 minute speech. She shook her head at times, and at one point — when Trump claimed Democrats want to grant health care to undocumented immigrants — she twice mouthed “that’s not true.” (YES IT IS TRUE. OBAMA LIED ABOUT THIS AND JOE WILSON CALLED HIM OUT FOR IT. HE WAS PROVEN RIGHT. ILLEGALS WERE GETTING OBAMACARE.) And then, at the end of the speech, Pelosi tore up her copy of the pages. When asked by an ABC News reporter why she did so, Pelosi reportedly said that it was “a courteous thing to do considering the alternatives... It was such a dirty speech.” SHE’S THE DIRTY ONE! DIRTY DEMOCRAT!
The President highlighted economic gains on the eve of the impeachment verdict… (WHEN HE’LL BE ACQUITTED, WE BELIEVE). (AP) He talked about the “Great American Comeback” under his watch. just three years after he took office decrying a land of “American carnage” under his predecessor(s), Barack Hussein Obama, as well as the Bushes and Clintons. Trump is the first president to campaign for reelection after being impeached, awesome! PHONY IMPEACHMENT! Republican legislators chanted “Four More Years.” Trump never mentioned the “i-word” in his 78-minute speech. GOOD. IT WAS QUITE FORGETTABLE ANYWAY!

But LIMBAUGH AWARDED MEDAL OF FREEDOM AT STATE OF UNION… (AP writer JONATHAN LEMIRE says it this way) Trump had his wife, Melania, present the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor, to the “divisive” conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, who recently announced he has advanced lung cancer. LIMBAUGH IS NOT DIVISIVE. HE UNITES PEOPLE AROUND THE TRUTH. AP IS DIVISIVE. AP DIVIDES PEOPLE WITH LIES OF RACISM, HOMOPHOBIA, FEMINISM, AND FAKE SCIENCE!
(Drudge) Trump had Top TV News Anchors Over for Lunch; and Ate Them Alive… DON’T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS! (The Daily Beast) Trump’s off-record Tuesday lunch with prominent news anchors was surprisingly “chill,” with the president mocking his chuckling guests. Writer Lloyd Grove claims the assembled “anchorpeople” (he means anchormen) were eating out of his hand — including NBC’s Lester Holt and Chuck Todd, ABC’s David Muir and George Stephanopoulos, and CBS’s Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan. None of them asked why he didn’t include anyone from CNN, the very fake news cable network run by Trump’s former supposed friend Jeff Zucker. “MSDNC isn’t here as well,” Trump quipped—to polite chuckles but zero protests.
They were there ostensibly (which means supposedly) for a briefing on tonight’s State of the Union address but instead were treated to a lot of presidential boasting about his poll numbers and the “through-the-roof” stock market, and a lot of gloating about the “fiasco” of Iowa’s Democratic caucuses and the general disarray in the out-of-power party.
Trump made sure to criticize his Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell for declining to lower interest rates further. Asked about the exploding trillion-dollar deficits his administration has created, the president claimed that lower interest rates will allow him to reduce the red ink in his second term.
“He was chill,” said a lunch guest. “He wasn’t angry at all. He was friendly, outgoing, and relaxed. He was confident that he’ll be re-elected.” NICE!
Trump also was sanguine about his participation in the fall presidential debates, saying, ”Yeah, I’ll do it,” even though, he claimed, “the debate commission is filled with a bunch of Never Trumpers.” NO DOUBT TRUE!

(Drudge) Parkland father removed from speech after protest… BETA DAD! (Miami Herald) The father of a high school freshman killed in the 2018 mass shooting at Parkland’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School was removed from the audience at President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address Tuesday night after shouting out during the president’s speech. Fred Guttenberg, whose 14-year-old daughter, Jaime, was killed in the Feb. 14, 2018, shooting, was escorted calmly out of the balcony gallery of the U.S. House of Representatives chamber toward the end of Trump’s speech.
Guttenberg, a prominent gun safety activist, was invited to the speech by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He declined an interview Tuesday night, but apologized on Twitter early Wednesday morning. “Tonight was a rough night,” he wrote. “I disrupted the State Of The Union and was detained because I let my emotions get the best of me [BETA MALE!]. I simply want to be able to deal with the reality of gun violence and not have to listen to the lies about the 2A [second amendment] as happened tonight. That said, I should not have yelled out. I am thankful for the overwhelming support that I am receiving. However, I do owe my family and friends an apology. I have tried to conduct myself with dignity throughout this process and I will do better as I pursue gun safety.”
HERE’S WHAT HAPPENED: As Trump finished a line saying, “So long as I am president, I will always protect your Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms,” Republicans began to cheer and Guttenberg began to yell. As the cheers quieted, Guttenberg could be briefly heard in the chamber. He shouted “victims of gun violence like my daughter,” according to a Huffington Post reporter. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stared in his direction while Trump kept speaking. Vice President Mike Pence shot a glance towards the gallery and at one point Pelosi waved her hand.
Trump did not appear to react to the outburst. He moved on to a portion of his speech about America’s space program. THE SPACE FORCE!
Guttenberg has become a prominent activist on issues of gun safety in the wake of the Parkland shooting, which killed 17, including his daughter.
He is urging lawmakers to support what he calls “Jaime’s law,” a proposal to require background checks on the purchase of bullets (RIDICULOUS, WHAT AN EVIL MALE). He has been supportive of Democratic candidates, and recently filmed a lengthy testimonial for former Vice President Joe Biden. NEWSFLASH, FRED, DEMOCRATS KILL BABIES!

The head of the Iowa Democratic Party apologized somberly Tuesday for botching the highly anticipated release of the party's caucus results, calling the delay unacceptable. ALL TALK!
"I apologize deeply for this," said party chair Troy Price, shortly before releasing the first batch of precinct results.
Campaigns, party volunteers and regular Iowans expressed confusion and frustration at the lack of clarity on what is often one of the most closely-watched nights in American presidential politics.
The results, once released, reflected 62% of Iowa's precincts from all 99 counties. BUTTIGIEG IN LEAD… former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg led the field, with 26.9% of state delegate equivalents. U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont followed, with 25.1%. U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts was in third, at 18.3%. At 15.6%, former Vice President Joe Biden and U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota (12.6%) rounded out the top five.

(Drudge) Trudeau Administration Proposes Government Licenses for News Websites… THEY WANT STATE-ENFORCED FAKE NEWS! (Breitbart) Canadian Heritage Minister Steven Guilbeault has stated that news websites, along with social media companies, could be forced to obtain government licences to operate in Canada. The minister, who has been tasked with updating Canada’s broadcasting laws using the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), stated that internet news sites will be “asked” to obtain a government-approved licence, broadcaster CTV reports.
The report, entitled “Canada’s communications future: Time to act”, was released on January 29th and included 97 recommendations. It details how the (CRTC would be vastly expanded to not only regulate radio and television broadcasters but news websites as well.
“If you’re a distributor of content in Canada and obviously if you’re a very small media organisation the requirement probably wouldn’t be the same if you’re Facebook, or Google. There would have to be some proportionality embedded into this,” he said during a CTV interview. THESE PEOPLE ARE SO SLEAZY!

This time I didn’t hear him say we want more immigrants than ever, but they have to come in legally (that was a gripe of the Trump-hating wing of the Alt-Right)...
(Last year he honored Buzz Aldrin or someone, and the moon-landing truthers went crazy. They said he looked so guilty and depressed.)
The presidential Medal of Freedom for Rush Limbaugh was awesome, well-deserved. The First Lady presenting it was great.
That boy who wants to be on the Space Force with his 100-year-old great grandpa who was a Tuskegee Airman — THEY BLACK! That was nice.
He honored a mother and her young premie child; it was an emotional moment. And he called to ban late-term abortion.
The Venezuelan president thing was shocking and kinda awesome.
He honored two men who died overseas — highlighting how he took out al-Baghdadi and Soleimani, who he says were responsible for the Americans’ deaths. (One of the men who died was Sgt. Hake — NO RELATION! — and his widow and son were there. Their son had a great haircut — he looked about 9 or 11.)
I heard he was strong for the Second Amendment, and for saner immigration.

Phony Impeachment Ends Today?
Exoneration today (well, acquittal) — 4 PM EST (1 PM PST).
(Fox News) Sen. Doug Jones (D-AL) said he will “reluctantly” vote to convict. WHAT A COWARD! He said a whole lot of nothing, typical politician. He beat the good Judge Roy Moore in 2017, after Wash. Post smeared a, and something like 98% of black women voted for the Democrat there. (USA Today) Jones beat Republican Roy Moore with 50% of the vote in a special election in 2017 to succeed Jeff Sessions, who became Trump’s first attorney general. Jones could face Moore or Sessions this year.
(NPR) Trump has called the entire process a "witch hunt" and did not acknowledge it in Tuesday night's State of the Union address to Congress, a speech where the audience of congressional lawmakers was as divided on the issue of impeachment as the citizens they represent.
At issue is Trump's July 25 phone call with Ukraine's newly elected president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy. Democrats say Trump tied the release of frozen military aid to Ukraine to an investigation of Joe Biden, the former vice president who is a Democratic presidential candidate. That forms the basis of the first article of impeachment: abuse of power.
The White House declined to participate in the House impeachment inquiry into whether Trump's action constituted a quid pro quo — a decision that formed the basis of the second article of impeachment against Trump: obstruction of Congress.
(The liberal media are watching RINOs like Susan Collins and Mitt Romney.)
Trump is the third U.S. president to ever be impeached. Like the other two, Presidents Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton, he will likely also be acquitted by the Senate.
