(The Sun) Leading contenders for Biden's Veep include Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Stacey Abrams and Amy Klobuchar. Joe Biden also reiterated his intent to appoint the first “African American” woman to the Supreme Court.
About the Coronavirus, Biden said it’s, quote: 'Bigger than any one of us': Dems take on pandemic… psh, Dems are ill-equipped. (The Sun) Sanders immediately took a shot at President Trump, saying he should stop "blabbering" and misleading the American people. Dumb! Joe Biden pointed out that Italy has a single-payer socialist so-called healthcare system and it doesn’t work.
I think I mentioned previously that Georgia delayed its primary… amid the virus outbreak, originally scheduled for March 24. They’re moving the election to May 19, and early voting will resume a little before that. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said his “highest priority is protecting the health of our poll workers, their families, and the community at large.” Georgia currently has 66 confirmed cases of the virus and one death. Louisiana on Friday became the first state to postpone their primary due to concerns over the virus, pushing their contest from April 4 to June 20.
(Drudge) DEFIANT! Mexico holds a big music festival… (AP) Mexico City is going ahead with Vive Latino — one of the most important music festivals in the country. Some acts backed out, but tens of thousands of music fans flocked (LIKE SHEEP) on Saturday to the first day of the festival, which still expected Guns N’ Roses, Carlos Vives and Zoe to be among its headliners. Organizers said more than 70,000 tickets had been sold for each of the festival’s two days. Each person entering was checked for fever and there was a strong smell of antibacterial gel (as in hand sanitizer, Purell) permeated in the air.
Mexicans Taunt Trump: 'The wall is to protect Mexicans!' They know that’s a joke! The American Mirror highlights a few tweets. One reads: “Hay más pacientes de coronavirus en USA que en México. Asumiré que el muro es para proteger a los mexicanos!” And another: “Como hay más casos de coronavirus en USA que en @mexico los mexicanos deberían construir el muro y que lo pague @realDonaldTrump” — Oh, he wants President Trump to pay for it. Cute. No.
(Drudge) FED CUTS RATES TO ZERO (AP) — The Federal Reserve took massive emergency action Sunday to try to help the economy withstand the coronavirus by slashing its benchmark interest rate to near zero and saying it would buy $700 billion in Treasury and mortgage bonds.
The Fed’s surprise announcement supposedly shows concern about a possible recession. The central bank said it will keep its rate there until it is “confident that the economy has weathered recent events.”
STOCKS 'LIMIT DOWN' (CNBC) meaning they could not trade below that threshold. Those limits are imposed by the CME Group (short for Chicago Mercantile Exchange, a global markets company) to maintain orderly market behavior.

(Drudge) NYC Schools Shut For At Least Month… WOW! At least through April 20th, and perhaps the rest of the academic year. (CBS New York) the socialist mayor Bill de Blasio. There are currently 329 cases, including five deaths, due to the virus in New York City, the mayor confirmed. He said they’re going to try to conduct educational stuff remotely, and set up places for the children of healthcare workers to be taken care of while they’re at work, since those kids won’t be in school.
(Drudge) Multiple States Order Restaurants Closed… (USA Today) California, Ohio, Illinois, Massachusetts and Washington close bars and restaurants in effort to slow coronavirus. In Ohio, Gov. Mike DeWine said bars and restaurants can stay open for carry-out and delivery but "what we can't have is people congregating and seated."
"I'm aware that this will impact many, many good workers," DeWine tweeted. "I can't tell you how sorry I am, but we will work to mitigate the suffering. It is our goal for everyone to get through this.
"Every day we delay, more people will die."
In California, Gov. Gavin Newsom said all bars, wineries, brew pubs and nightclubs should close, and asked that those over 65 self-isolate. A few hours after Newsom's suggestion, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said he was closing bars, restaurants, nightclubs and "entertainment venues," effective at midnight Sunday until at least March 31.
Illinois also shut down bars and restaurants to dine-in customers through March 30, a day after thousands gathered in downtown Chicago to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker said he made the decision after so many state residents ignored the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to "social distance" and self isolate, and instead went out Friday and Saturday.
Trump also tweeted “SOCIAL DISTANCING” over the weekend, BTW.
New Orleans also set restrictions Sunday, as Mayor LaToya Cantrell (SHE BLACK) announced all restaurants would need to close by 9 p.m., and bars and nightclubs by midnight; for all of these establishments, capacity will be limited to 50% of posted limits.
(Drudge) AMAZON warns of delivery delays, and running out of items…
(Drudge) Vegas bust… (The Week) Hotels and casinos along the Las Vegas Strip are closing their doors due to coronavirus. PSH. That’s some of the most popular hotels and casinos there, employing tens of thousands of workers! MGM Resorts International, which owns the Bellagio, MGM Grand, The Mirage, and several other resorts, announced on Sunday it is temporarily suspending operations at all of its Las Vegas properties. Wynn Resorts will also close its Wynn Las Vegas and Encore properties starting Tuesday for two weeks. Caesars Entertainment on Sunday night said it has no plans to close its Nevada casinos and hotels, but is suspending live performances at its properties through March 31. OH MAYBE THAT MEANS TRUMP INTERNATIONAL HOTEL WILL BE HIGHER PRICES? And maybe camping will be more expensive over in Willow Beach, AZ?
