(CNN) Rhode Island and Alaska are the latest states to alter their primary elections. Rhode Island's will be postponed, and Alaska Democrats have nixed in-person voting. Presumably this is over the coronavirus scare.
(CNN) It's been several days, and Congress still hasn't settled on the nearly $2 trillion stimulus bill to boost the US economy amid sweeping coronavirus restrictions. Democrats voted against the bill for a second time, arguing that Congress needs to avoid a corporate bailout scenario (SUCH INTEGRITY! NOT!). Politicians fear time is running out to get the deal off the ground. The US saw its deadliest day yet in the coronavirus fight yesterday, with 100 new recorded deaths (JUST IN A DAY IN THE US). Canada had at least 2,000 cases and 25 deaths, prompting more closures and tighter restrictions. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson put the UK into lockdown to curb the spread, and Thailand and Singapore both recorded spikes in cases. Meanwhile, life in the Hubei province of China, where the outbreak began, is slowly returning to normal (SUPPOSEDLY… NOTE THAT’S ACCORDING TO CNN). Almost all lockdown restrictions will be lifted tomorrow. THAT’S NICE.
(CNN) Health care workers across the US are begging for more supplies, specifically respirator masks. The shortage has gotten so bad that people are sewing masks to send to hospitals as a stopgap. The CEO of 3M, the largest US producer of medical face masks, said all 3M masks should go to health care workers on the front lines. The acute demand has put pressure on President Trump to activate the Defense Production Act to mandate private companies to mass-produce needed medical supplies during the crisis.
The announcement of possible treatments for coronavirus has sparked another rush on supplies. Some US states have had to take measures to prevent stockpiling and shortage of the drugs chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine, which are used to treat malaria and other conditions and could possibly treat the coronavirus. But CNN claims there's no guarantee they will work, or that they're safe. A man in Arizona died and his wife is in critical condition after they tried to self-administer chloroquine phosphate to prevent the virus. SO MAKE SURE YOU DO IT RIGHT!
(Drudge) FAUCI AND TRUMP CLASH Yesterday on The Hake Report I shared excerpts from “Dr. Anthony Fauci’s” interview with Jon Cohen of Science Mag. The far-left anti-Trump, anti-America Washington Post (in an article shared by The Hour) called it “Fauci's strikingly honest review of Trump's coronavirus response.” They wouldn’t know honesty if it slapped them in the face, which Trump does every day! But anyway… Fauci said he doesn’t disagree with Trump on substance but basically just piddly unimportant details and presentation. Intellectuals. I also shared how Fauci’s been in government since 1984, and was a major fawning Hillary Clinton fan, including about her “What difference...does it make?” performance (and it was a phony performance) over her 9-11-2012 Benghazi failure and dishonesty. So Fauci’s not really one to be trusted, although he seems like he’s trying. My opinion.
Trump says that We 'WILL NOT BE CLOSED FOR MONTHS' (AP writes) President Donald Trump said that he wants to reopen the country for business in weeks, not months, and claimed, without evidence (far-left AP’s words), that continued closures could result in more deaths than the pandemic itself. THAT’S REALITY! THERE IS EVIDENCE FOR THAT. SUICIDES GO UP AND CRIME AS WELL DURING ECONOMIC RECESSIONS, ETC. MIKE CERNOVICH POINTED THESE THINGS OUT IN RESPONSE TO THE FAKE NEWS PRETENDING NOT TO KNOW THIS. QUOTE from the president: “We can’t have the cure be worse than the problem,” Trump told reporters at a briefing Monday, echoing a midnight Sunday tweet. “We have to open our country because that causes problems that, in my opinion, could be far bigger problems.”

More Coronavirus News…
(Drudge) Man dies after taking chloroquine… HERE’S MORE DETAILS… (Reuters) - An Arizona man has died and his wife is in critical condition after they ingested chloroquine phosphate - an aquarium cleaning product similar to drugs that have been named by President Trump as potential treatments for coronavirus infection. The couple, in their 60s, experienced immediate distress after swallowing the drug, an additive used at aquariums to clean fish tanks, according to Banner Health Hospital in Phoenix. GEEZ! WHAT!
Other News...
(CNN) California utility Pacific Gas and Electric has agreed to plead guilty to 84 counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the state's devastating 2018 Camp Fire. PG&E also agreed to plead guilty to one count of starting the fire, which state investigators say began with a failure of the company's electrical lines. Under the deal, PG&E will establish a $13.5 billion trust to compensate victims of the Camp Fire and other wildfires, as well as pay hundreds of millions to local entities affected by the blazes. The utility filed for bankruptcy in January 2019 under the pressure of billions of dollars in claims related to the fires. The Camp Fire killed 85 people and destroyed thousands of structures. SMH
GREAT NEWS! (CNN) The Supreme Court has ruled that insanity defenses are not required under the Constitution, possibly paving the way for states to effectively abolish them. The ruling came in a Kansas case in which a man argued his constitutional rights were violated when the state refused to allow him to bring an insanity defense. The man was sentenced to death for killing his wife and other family members in 2009, and his defense argued he did not know right from wrong due to obsessive compulsion episodes. Kansas law says a defendant can argue mental illness only to prove they did not intend to commit the crime. The Supreme Court's ruling upheld this interpretation. If more states abolish an insanity defense, it will be tougher for the mentally ill to defend themselves.
BTW… (Drudge) Netanyahu implores Gantz to join gov't, vows to rotate as PM without tricks… The J Post quotes Bibi as saying: "I will leave office on the agreed date; there will be no shticks and tricks. Millions of Israelis are waiting for us." Benny Gantz is, I believe, a far-left guy in the Blue and White party (liberal media pretend he’s a centrist, which is not true). Netanyahu claimed in an interview on Channel 12 that the Likud and Blue and White had completed negotiations for what a national unity government would look like, and under which he would serve first as prime minister and would then be replaced by Gantz. Gantz denied that a deal had been reached, saying: "Those who want unity do not work with ultimatums and harmful leaks and certainly do not try to hurt our democracy and citizens by paralyzing the Knesset." OH SHUT UP, BENNY! I don’t trust him! Not that I completely know Netanyahu either, but I do know he likes Trump.
According to details of the proposed deal, Likud would start out with the posts of prime minister, finance minister and Knesset speaker, and Blue and White would start with a deputy prime minister, defense minister and foreign minister and then switch after a year and a half. But they’re fighting and accusing each other of lying or something.
