If you’re a Patreon supporter (or SubscribeStar, or New Project 2), make sure to check out the latest 90s JLP episode: The Clinton Scandal: Where’s the Shame in the Black Community? In 1998, Jesse gave his commentary on blacks no longer judging Bill Clinton on morals, but on the free stuff and programs he gives to blacks, pretending to love them.
(CNN) Today marks the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan for many Muslims. It's another time in which the world's faithful will see their traditions upended by the pandemic.
(The Skimm) Missouri became the first state to sue the Chinese gov for economic damages and loss of life brought on by the virus. The state blames China's "campaign of deceit" for the spread of the outbreak. And Mississippi's poised to do the same. China's response: the suit is "absurd." And it may not go further since foreign countries are typically immune from US prosecution.
(Also from The Skimm) This week, the World Health Organization knocked down a theory that it was created in a Chinese lab. A separate theory that it still spread because of that lab has gained traction. That includes from President Trump, who says US officials are looking into it. YEAH, CAN WE BELIEVE THE EVIL UN’S CORRUPT WHO? NO.
Get this (The Skimm) COVID-19 has brought months-long pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong to a halt. But the crackdown isn't letting up: over the weekend, Hong Kong police arrested 15 leading activists. China accuses them of taking part in unauthorized rallies during the pandemic. But critics see the decision as a "calculated" move to punish activists.
These liberals (like The Skimm, extreme leftist) are still babbling about anti-Asian racism so they are trying to discourage the focus on China which has developed a reputation for leaking coronaviruses like SARS multiple times, and possibly COVID-19.
(CNN) A seemingly healthy 57-year-old Bay Area woman who "suddenly died" in early February has now become the first known US death related to coronavirus, the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday. CNN, LA Times, the Bay Area, all extreme liberal places. Bay Area is where Bruce Lee was born, BTW… very Asian. But this victim was named Patricia Dowd, who worked as a manager for a semiconductor company, "exercised routinely, watched her diet and took no medication," the newspaper reported. BASED ON HER PHOTOS SEEN IN Daily Mail, SHE DID NOT LOOK ALL THAT HEALTHY, AT LEAST IN APPEARANCE. LOOKED A BIT OVERWEIGHT. STILL, IT’S CRAZY TO DIE FROM THIS. Rick Cabello, Dowd's older brother, told CNN she didn't smoke and was in good health. "She was an athlete in her high school days.” (OH GOSH, EVERYBODY WAS AN ATHLETE IN HIGH SCHOOL, AND AT 57 SHE WAS LONG PAST HIGH SCHOOL!) BUT, “...she was always active." Cabello said. Her sudden death was a shock to family members. They all believed it was a heart attack, Cabello said.
Dowd was a frequent world traveler; she had planned to travel to China later this year and went abroad "multiple times a year to different global locations."
"She was the energy person in her large network of friends," her brother said. "She was everybody's rock." (REMINDS ME OF MICHELLE OBAMA.)
Before Dowd was found dead on February 6, "she had flu-like symptoms for a few days, then appeared to recover." She cancelled some outings including skipping a funeral, started working from home as her condition improved and had been in touch with a colleague around 8 a.m. on the day of her death. She was found dead about two hours later.
Thur. 4/23/20, Hour 2:
GUEST: Stefan Molyneux of Freedomain Radio talks about the attack on freedom by the government amid the coronavirus, and how single mothers, blacks, and more and more races and people are falling for socialism. THEN: He talks about the passing of his father, whether he loves his father, and whether he should forgive his mother — and whether human beings have free will. (TOMORROW: The Fallen State premieres Jesse’s prior interview with Stefan Molyneux from a few weeks ago, Friday noon PT.)
End of Hour 2, Thur, Apr 23, 2020
Stay tuned for Hour 3. Then after Jesse’s show, switch over to The Hake Report.
(CNN) Some cats (both big cats at the zoo and house cats) have tested positive for the coronavirus, but doctors say it's highly unlikely that pets can transmit the disease to humans. THAT’S WHAT THEY SAID ABOUT HUMANS TOO, THE WHO AND CHINA SAID IT, AS I RECALL.
Here’s good news… (Drudge) Trump administration reverses prisoner release policy… (Politico) On Monday, some prisoners were told that officials were no longer considering early releases for inmates who have served less than half their sentence.
Prison officials indicated earlier this month that inmates who had served less than half their sentences could still be considered for early release to limit the spread of infection behind bars. However, inmates in various prisons who had been put into prerelease quarantine almost two weeks ago were advised Monday by authorities that the policy had changed, lawyers and associates said. Officials would not waive a requirement that prisoners must have completed 50 percent their sentence to be eligible for early release during the pandemic, the inmates were told.
BUT THEN TRUMP SAID, PSYYYYYCH! HA-HA!
A federal prosecutor in New York also confirmed the shift to a court Tuesday, drawing the ire of a judge for contradicting the position the government took just three days earlier.
(Drudge) TRUMP REVERSES COURSE: TOO SOON FOR GEORGIA TO OPEN — this was a controversy among Trump’s conservative critics. President Donald Trump said Wednesday he "strongly disagrees" with Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp's decision to allow businesses like barbershops and nail salons to reopen, a day after he praised him during the White House briefing. "I told the governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp, that I disagree strongly with his decision to open certain facilities," Trump said at his daily coronavirus briefing Wednesday. "But at the same time, he must do what he thinks is right. I want him to do what he thinks is right. But I disagree with him on what he's doing." THAT’S FAIR.
Kemp tweeted after the president's remarks that he appreciated Trump's "bold leadership and insight during these difficult times," but he didn't back down. "Our next measured step is driven by data and guided by state public health officials. We will continue with this approach to protect the lives - and livelihoods - of all Georgians," Kemp wrote. RIGHT ON, KEMP. GET BACK TO WORK BUT SAFELY, GEORGIA! LOVE YA!
Trump said of Kemp's plan: "I think spas, beauty salons and tattoo parlors and barbershops ... it's just too soon. I love those people who use all those things," Trump said, "but they can wait a little bit longer. Safety has to predominate," he added. But Trump praised Kemp as "a capable man who knows what he's doing."
Kemp tweeted Monday: "Due to favorable data & more testing, gyms, fitness centers, bowling alleys, body art studios, barbers, cosmetologists, hair designers, nail care artists, estheticians, their respective schools & massage therapists can reopen Friday, April 24 with Minimum Basic Operations." NICE!
(CNN) The highest court in the Netherlands has ruled that doctors may legally euthanize some patients with severe dementia. Under the ruling, physicians can honor written requests that were issued by patients before they developed an advanced form of the disease -- even if the patient's current condition means they are unable to confirm that request. Euthanasia is legal in the Netherlands, if certain criteria are met. These criteria include a well-considered and voluntary decision by the patient, suffering without the possibility of improvement, and a lack of reasonable alternatives. SMH.
Thur 4/23/20, Hour 3:
GUEST: Andrew Seidel of Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), returns! He wrote a book called The Founding Myth… claiming that Christian nationalism is un-American, and that we are not a Judeo-Christian nation. Jesse insists we are a Christian nation, and they debate. Jesse then debates about “experts” versus The Great White Hope.
