Trump’s 'Police Reform,' RME
(theSkimm) Yesterday – after weeks of nationwide protests against IMAGINARY police brutality – President Trump signed an executive order calling for so-called police reform. The order directs the DOJ to create a national database of police officers with a history of using excessive force (think: those who have been terminated, decertified, or criminally charged). It also incentivizes police departments across the country to "adopt the highest professional standards" in their communities. (THE DOJ IS A BUNCH OF LIBERALS! NO GOOD!
Under the order, law enforcement agencies will have access to federal grants. But only if they do things like ban chokeholds (unless an officer's life is at risk… LET THEM CHOKE!) and offer “deescalation training” (NOW THEY GOTTA TREAT BLACK CRIMINALS WITH KID GLOVES, SMH). Departments will also be encouraged to work with social workers and mental health professionals (TWO OF THE WORST GROUPS IMAGINABLE!) through "co-responder programs," to help officers better deal with situations involving mental illness, addiction, and homelessness.
Trump called it a "historic" effort, but made it clear he's against larger reforms like defunding or disbanding the police. He said the percentage of bad officers is "tiny" and that "without police, there is chaos." The president of the country's largest police union backed him up – and said the order struck a "great balance" between public and officer safety. But commie critics pointed out that their key word was missing: racism. (THANK GOD, BECAUSE THERE’S NO SUCH THING!) Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called on Congress to "quickly" pass its own legislation.
DEMS AND RINOS BOTH GOING AFTER COPS! NOT BLACKS!
Democrats laid out their sweeping police reform bill last week, which aims to lower the standards for qualified immunity (which protects gov’t officials from lawsuits). (CNN) The Supreme Court declined this week to take up several cases about police immunity, punting the question to the legislative branch.
(theSkimm) And Republicans are expected to introduce their legislation today, calling for a limit on chokeholds and a ban on no-knock warrants. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is expected to announce today whether the Senate will consider the bill before its July 4th recess. But with the parties divided on how to enact reform, it's unclear if or when a bill would pass.
(CNN) In the Senate, so-called Republicans are rallying around a plan led by Sen. Tim Scott. TIM SCOTT IS A BLACK RINO WHO BELIEVES IN RACISM AND COMPLAINED ABOUT COPS STOPPING HIM IN D.C. I WONDER HOW FAST HE DRIVES.
Jimmy Carter’s not a Christian
Listen to this quote: “While Black Americans have lived this reality for hundreds of years, many other Americans are only just confronting this painful violence due to video evidence that brutally lays bare the injustices that have long been present.”
That’s a statement from The Carter Center, former President Jimmy Carter's Atlanta-based charity, after last weekend's shooting death of Rayshard Brooks in the city. A decision on whether charges will be filed against the officers involved could come as soon as today.
(RAYSHARD’S THE ONE WHO WAS SUSPECTED OF DUI AFTER SLEEPING IN THE WENDY’S DRIVE THRU, AND HE RESISTED ARREST AS THEY CUFFED HIM, STOLE A TASER AND TRIED TO SHOOT IT AT THEM AS HE RAN. HE WAS SHOT IN THE BACK IMMEDIATELY AFTER THAT, AND DIED IN A JUSTIFIED SHOOTING.)

Young-ish woman dies!
(Twitter) Carol Barr, wife of Kentucky Rep. Andy Barr (R), suddenly died at age 39! The Congressman’s wife passed away at their family home on Tuesday night, his office confirmed. They’d been married 10 years. Andy has two daughters by her.
It’s getting hot out there!
(Drudge) Police detain armed militia members after a man is shot at an Albuquerque demonstration… The STATUE BATTLE TURNS BLOODY…
(Far-left Wash. Post via Stamford Advocate) So-called protesters in Albuquerque, N.M., wrapped a chain around the neck of a bronze statue of the great Spanish conquistador Juan de Oñate, and began tugging and chanting, "Tear it down," shortly before sunset Monday.
Militia types apparently were trying to protect the statue from the vandals. Wash. Post is trying to introduce it to sound like this guy just shot at random “protestors” to stop them. In reality, he got in a fight, and they tried to chase and attack him way out in the street.
Video showed a masked protester swung a longboard skateboard and struck Baca in the shoulder. People chased him and one tackled him to the street pavement. People were talking about getting his license plate number.
Police arrested the alleged shooter, 31-year-old Stephen Ray Baca. The male who was shot, Scott Williams, suffered gunshot wounds to the torso and immediately received aid from bystanders. He was hospitalized in critical but stable condition. He was identified as a man with a skateboard swinging at Baca’s head and upper body. Baca could be seen firing and then placing the weapon on the ground, sitting away from it and using his personal cellphone. Militia-types surrounded him to protect him from the mob.
Baca had run unsuccessfully for Albuquerque city council last year. His father was a sheriff decades ago.
Lying liberal reaction
Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller, a Democrat, said the statue would now be speedily removed as an "urgent matter of public safety" — kissing up to the mob whom he agrees with.
"The heavily armed individuals who flaunted themselves at the protest, calling themselves a 'civil guard,' were there for one reason: To menace protesters, to present an unsanctioned show of unregulated force," New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, a Democrat, said in a statement. "To menace the people of New Mexico with weaponry - with an implicit threat of violence - is on its face unacceptable; that violence did indeed occur is unspeakable." SHE’S AN EVIL LIAR.
The extremist left Wash. Post calls Oñate, the man honored in the monument, “a 16th-century despot who massacred indigenous people.” SMH. THEY OFFER NO PROOF FOR THEIR CLAIM, NOR BALANCE TO THE STORY.
