Alberta Pastor Charged with Breaking COVID-19 Restrictions Refuses Bail Conditions
(Epoch Times) A pastor of an Edmonton church remains in custody after being charged with breaking Alberta’s COVID-19 rules and continuing to refuse compliance with his bail conditions.
Pastor James Coates of Edmonton’s GraceLife church has been defying public health orders for weeks and holding services that provincial officials say violate COVID-19 restrictions on maximum gathering capacity, masking, and social distancing.
According to a public statement, GraceLife church had changed to livestreaming services to abide by government regulations when COVID-19 first emerged. It reopened to Sunday services in June 2020, after the initial public health emergency ended.
In December 2020, GraceLife was fined $1,200 for hosting more people than the 15 percent limit, and was issued a closure order in January 2021. When the church continued Sunday gatherings, Coates was charged with one count of breaking the Public Health Act on Feb. 7, 2021, and was later released.
After the RCMP and Alberta Health Services attended the service on Feb. 14 and found that Coates has continued to defy his release conditions, he was charged a second time.
On Feb. 16, Coates turned himself in to the Parkland RCMP and remains in custody.
“Following a bail hearing before a justice of the peace, Coates was to be released (Tuesday) on conditions,” the RCMP news release said. “He remained in custody overnight after refusing to agree to those conditions. This morning in Stony Plain provincial court he continued to refuse to agree with those conditions.”
GraceLife said that many Albertans became afraid and were “convinced of the efficacy of government lockdowns for two reasons: misinformation and fearmongering.”
“The media has so pounded the COVID-19 drum since the ‘pandemic’ began, almost exclusively emphasizing caseload and deaths, that people are fearful. So fearful, in fact, they have been convinced that yielding up their civil liberties to the government is in their best interests.”

One-Third of Troops Turning Down CCP Virus Vaccine: Pentagon
(The Epoch Times) At a hearing Maj. Gen. Jeff Taliaferro, a top official at the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said that initial “acceptance rates are somewhere in the two-thirds territory….we need to continue to educate our force and help them understand the benefits.”
Maj. Gen. Steven Nordhaus told the panel that “two-thirds to 70 percent” of the National Guard are getting it.

Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.) said, “It’s critical for our national security that every service member, as well as DOD civilian personnel and contractors, receive vaccines as soon as possible.”
Both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines for the CCP virus are under emergency-use authorization by the FDA — meaning the agency has not fully cleared their usage.
US Life Expectancy Drops by a Year Amid Pandemic, CDC Says
(Epoch Times) The expectancy at birth for the total population was 77.8 years in the first half of 2020, a decline from 78.8 in 2019, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) researchers. The life expectancy for males fell by 1.2 years to 75.1 years, while female life expectancy declined by 0.9 years to 80.5.
Life expectancy dropped the most for non-Hispanic blacks, who saw a 2.7-year decrease to 72. Hispanic life expectancy decreased to 79.9 years from 81.8, and dropped among non-Hispanic whites by 8/10ths of a year to 78.
The last time researchers reported life expectancy estimates (Jan 2020), they said life expectancy in America rose for the first time in four years. UNDER TRUMP!
But this is a “huge decline” according to Robert Anderson at CDC — “You have to go back to World War II, the 1940s, to find a decline like this.”

But fraudulent claims for jobless aid in some states and other issues, including potential backlogs of claims, may be elevating the totals.

It’d change the term “alien” to “noncitizen” in the country’s legal code. SO STUPID.
(Revolver / CBS) The 353-page U.S. Citizenship Act would give greencards to farmworkers, Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders and illegals who supposedly arrived as “children,” according to a 66-page summary of the legislation. After three years, they could apply to become U.S. citizens. (The rest of the eligible illegals would get that 8-year path.)

NYC waitress fired for refusing Covid vaccine … worried about vax effects on fertility…
(Revolver / NY Post) Bonnie Jacobson, age 34, was fired from Red Hook Tavern on Monday for not getting vaccinated right away for COVID-19 until she knows how it will affect her chances of getting pregnant, she told The Post.
She’s has been married since October 2019, and stressed that she’s not an anti-vaxxer and “fully supports” people being inoculated — but wants to wait for more research on the coronavirus vaccine’s possible effects on fertility.
“The way I see it, getting the vaccine is for me. It protects me. If I am not getting it, it’s my choice, and I’d only be hurting myself,” she said.
(She began working at the restaurant in August after being let go from FEMINIST women’s co-working space The Wing at the beginning of the SO-CALLED pandemic. She adapted to working outside “in the freezing cold” as they did outdoor dining in New York winter.)
Tavern management wrote to her saying that while they respected her choice, getting the shot was required and that “at this time your employment will be terminated.”
“We are sad to see you go,” the email said. “If you do change your mind, please do not hesitate to let us know.”
