Bible Thumper Thursday: Snake bite church… MONOLOGUE: (JLPtalk Twitter) Do you believe in the thoughts? Get to know yourself, if you want to be free. Gotta see that you don’t see. Let the anger go; go and forgive; you shall be forgiven; and you’ll be home. It is done. Christ said, “It is finished.” You hear Christians say, “I’m suffering in my sins.” No, you’re suffering in your hell. You refuse to be aware, watch the thoughts. That’s what the Silent Prayer is all about.
JLP reads passages 1 John 4, Mark 13: 35 - 37… Why not just… Sit at the gate and watch. You’re alive but barely breathing, praying to a God that you don’t believe in… Let the light do the rest. Mark 26: 41-42… The Spirit is willing to help you, but because you believe in thoughts, your little flesh is weak. The fallen nature can do nothing. Doubt every thought, by watching them. …. Something about black women, etc… //
The Fallen State with Jake Julius of RattlesnakeTV (in Australia) // RIP to JLP’s friend Ken Cenatiempo. // William in NY (1st-timer) … Josh in GA holds over
JLP Hr 2
Bible Thumper… Callers… Josh in GA on BQ, etc. Are you an intellectual? … // Manuel in MA talks about what sin is, the “word of God,” staying on the straight and narrow, and the BQ: Are you in control of your life? … He believes in “free will,” but admits he can’t will himself never to have a thought again. … // Lisa in TX cries about her life, she’s not sure what. She feels nothing, numbness, and pain. Why you crying? Let it come, but don’t identify with the crying. She had good times in AA, etc.
JLP Hr 3
JLP laughs at Bible Thumper Thursday snake church opening // Janet Yellen took magic mushrooms (drugs) in China, and talks about it on-air in a news interview // Ruben in NY talks about a confrontation with an angry person, and he got angry back, calling him a b—, and asks about hitting the guy. … // Steven (sp) in MD plays JLP for a group of kids every day. He’s all into the black thing, believing in “racism” in the South back in the day. … He’s nondenominational believing in God, believing he can love and hate. …

Love. Don't hate. (Don't be angry.)
A fourth excerpt from BOND Silent Prayer blog post rebuildingtheman.com/prayer
Anger (or hatred) is an evil spirit, the nature of Satan. Many are quick to reject this truth, referencing Ephesians 4:26, “Be ye angry and sin not.” They tend to ignore the rest of the passage that says, “let not the sun go down upon your wrath,” and:
“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” (Ephesians 4:31-32)
Christ said to forgive our brother however many times he may sin against us (70x7 anyway). Jesus told the parable of the unforgiving servant who was forgiven much by his master, but in turn did not forgive even a little for his fellow servant. [The ungrateful servant] choked [his fellow man], and threw him in prison, demanding payment of his fellow servant’s debt! Upon hearing this, the master sent the unforgiving servant to be tortured until he repaid what he owed! Jesus told his disciples, “So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.“ (Matthew 18)
In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus said, “Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.”
Jesus also commanded:
“And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.” (Mark 11:25-26)
We have no right to be angry. We are not God.
Interestingly, the verse, “Be angry and sin not,” parallels Psalm 4:4, which reads: “Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still.”

Maui update
(CNN Thu. 8/17/23) The death toll in the Maui wildfires is now 111 and the number of missing is "probably still over a thousand," Hawaii Gov Josh Green (unchristian Democrat, MD, interracially married) said Wednesday night. Hundreds of people are now combing through the ruins on the island, including many looking for their loved ones. About 38% of the burn zone had been searched as of Wednesday afternoon, according to Maui Police Chief John Pelletier. Complicating matters is that some of the dead are believed to have perished in the ocean after running into the waves to try to escape the flames, officials said. President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden are also scheduled to travel to Hawaii on Monday to meet with first responders and survivors, as well as federal, state and local officials.
Watch out for Hilary! (One “L”)
(CNN Thu. 8/17/23) Tropical Storm Hilary is brewing off the Mexican coast and could potentially bring significant rainfall to Southern California and the Southwest this weekend. Although the storm's exact path is still uncertain, one climate scientist said "multiple years' worth of precipitation" could fall in some of California's driest areas.

Excerpt from The Antidote: Crime in CA
From Chapter 5: The Road to Damascus, by Jesse Lee Peterson
Fatherlessness was taking its toll on more than just South Central. Charles Manson arrived in Southern California just before I did. The fatherless product of a seriously screwed-up home, Manson nurtured the suppressed anger of a colony of lost youth. They too came from broken homes. In 1969, the year California introduced no-fault divorce, Manson turned that anger out-ward in a pair of brutal mass murders that shocked affluent California into a state of high and understandable anxiety.
[203] In South Central, the violence was less spectacular but steadier and deadlier. The same year as the Manson killings, a pair of sixteen-year-olds, Raymond Washington and Stanley Tookie Williams, launched a lethal neighborhood association called the Crips. So violent were the Crips that unaffiliated gangs in the area felt the need to band together to protect them-selves. And so began the incredibly pointless war between the Crips and the Bloods. More young Ameri-cans, virtually all of them black, would die in this war than died in both Gulf wars combined.
[210] I should add that South Central, at least when I arrived, did not look like a "ghetto" is supposed to look. My aunt and uncle, like many people in the neighborhood, perhaps most, had their own home and took care of it. The neighborhood was not crowded or noisy or poor, at least not in material things. When my aunt arrived, it was still peaceful. In 1953, the year both Washington and Williams were born, the state of California had only 276 homicides, and South Central was scarcely more dangerous than any other parts of town. That would soon change.
[211] In 1979, Washington was shot dead, and Williams killed four innocent people, which led to his eventual execution by lethal injection. That year, nearly three thousand Californians were murdered, ten times more than in 1953 and a stunning six times more per capita.
[212] South Central was now at the epicenter of that vio-lence. The question black leaders and the media refused to ask was, what happened between 1953 and 1979? The answer should have been obvious. As it happened, moved largely by guilt, the Feds in 1960 changed the Aid to Dependent Children program to the Aid to Families with Dependent Children. [Subsidizing single mothers…]

Thanks a lot, CANADA
(CNN Thu. 8/17/23) Parts of the Northeast US are once again under air alerts as dense smoke continues to waft south into the country from raging Canadian wildfires. Air quality has the potential to reach the Purple or Very Unhealthy category for several hours in eastern Minnesota today, the National Weather Service said. Sensitive groups, such as people with lung or heart disease, the elderly and children are urged to avoid prolonged or heavy exertion — and the general public is being told to limit outdoor activity. This comes as 236 fires are actively burning across Canada's Northwest Territories, where the sky has turned an ominous red color. The wildfires have prompted Canadian officials to issue evacuation orders and declare a state of emergency as the blazes threaten the capital city of Yellowknife.
NOT READ: Based President Trump!
(CNN Thu. 8/17/23) Former president Donald Trump has been plotting counterprogramming to next week's Republican presidential primary debate as many people close to him have implied he won't participate. Three sources told CNN that Trump has not done any prep for the debate, which is being held in Milwaukee on August 23. However, one adviser argued he doesn't need debate prep, and said there's always a chance he may decide to participate at the 11th hour. No definitive plans have been set, but Trump has been throwing out different ideas for his own counterprogramming, the sources say, including sitting down with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and calling into different cable news shows. The former president has repeatedly pointed to his commanding lead in the polls as one reason he is hesitant to share the stage with his GOP challengers.
Gross! China Virus mess
(CNN Thu. 8/17/23) In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the CDC has been collecting wastewater samples across the US to track the presence of the virus in communities. This federal surveillance data suggests that Covid-19 levels are trending up in the country, but key metrics remain well below most other points in the pandemic. In the first week of this month, more than 10,000 people were hospitalized with Covid-19. However, weekly hospitalizations are still about a quarter of what they were at this time last year and lower than they were for about 90% of the pandemic. Additionally, CDC data shows about 1% of all hospital beds in the US are occupied by Covid patients. At the height of the Omicron surge, more than a fifth of all hospital beds were occupied by Covid patients.
Flesh eating bacteria
(CNN Thu. 8/17/23) 3 people recently died in Connecticut and New York after contracting a rare flesh-eating bacteria that can be found in warm, brackish waters or raw shellfish. Two people in Connecticut became infected with Vibrio vulnificus and died after swimming in Long Island Sound, while a third person was infected with the bacteria after eating raw oysters, health officials said Wednesday. All three were between 60 and 80 years old.
Not just Brittney Griner
(CNN Thu. 8/17/23) QUOTE: “Keep the faith and we're doing everything we can to bring you home as soon as possible.” — US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, speaking by phone on Wednesday with American Paul Whelan, who is being held in a remote prison camp in Russia. Whelan has been detained for more than four years after Russian authorities alleged he was involved in an intelligence operation. The Biden administration continues to scour the globe for prison swap offers that could entice Russia to release him, but the US does not currently have any high-level Russian spies in its custody, driving the need to turn to allies for help.
