Hake notes from JLP…

Wed 2-21-24 Hr 1

Letitia James is evil. Trump not about revenge. Common sense. English only! Hong Kong non-citizen in charge, sworn in over here.  //  Kasey in Indiana (1st) has a great call, she got injured, she catches herself angry.  //  … A caller asks Jesse if he has a question  //  Bill in NJ (1st-timer) likes Trump and Putin, but hopes Jesse’s right about Netanyahu.

Wed 2-21-24 Hr 2

Super Chats with Hake… //  Amazing calls… Mark in Los Angeles says the Trump prosecutors are fat negroes. He’s angry and thinks it’s okay as a Christian not to love blacks, and Christianity is the white man’s religion  //  Other great calls …

The Fallen State intro with Rebecca Contreras (From the Hood to the White House)  //  Brandon from Canada answers the Biblical Question: What's trapping you? He says thoughts prevented him from playing pro soccer, and other things.  //  Wesley in UT (1st) says anger is not a sin, Jesus got angry, God is angry with the wicked every day, such as homosexuality (he mentions a bunch of times, and thinks he has righteous anger). Is the Devil angry? Sure, but not “righteous anger.” You believe Jesus is God? He’s “God the Son,” but not God the Father. Wesley hangs up on JLP.  //

Brian in MI (1st) is seeking God in the Bible (His Word), and in his actions or something. … Thinks smoking is a sin, and cussing…

Brian in MI (1st-timer) continues from last hour at-length! He’s white, has black problems. Two sons and a daughter, all a mess even though he said his son (with 5 kids) is a good man). He was closer to mother than father who beat him.

  • EV propaganda from American Lung Association  //  CPAC this week. VP straw poll?  //  Super Bowl KC rally shooting: 2 adults (diff from minors) charged  //

*EV “Health and science” COMMUNIST propaganda

(CNN or theSkimm Wed 2-21-24) Traffic is one of the biggest sources of carbon pollution in the US, as big cities often earn failing grades for air quality. However, a new report from the American Lung Association says millions of children’s lives would be made a lot healthier if all new car shoppers picked electric options by 2035.

*CPAC, lame as ever?

(CNN or theSkimm Wed 2-21-24) Republicants are gathering for their annual extravaganza.

The 2024 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). The event, which kicks off today, brings together politicians, activists, and media to network and buy merch that says things like “Trumpinator.” This year, the headliner is former President Trump, who's expected to speak later this week. Since Trump is the clear front-runner in the GOP primary, the burning question at this CPAC is over who his running mate will be. Enter: the CPAC VP straw poll, which reportedly has 17 contenders, ranging from long shots like Tucker Carlson to more viable candidates like Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY). Then, there's Trump’s lone remaining opponent, former UN ambassador Nikki Haley.

Haley VP? In her words, that's “off the table.” While campaigning this week in her home state of South Carolina, Haley vowed to stay in the GOP race, at least until Super Tuesday. She also called out her fellow Republicans for being too scared to stand up to Trump, adding, “I feel no need to kiss the ring. I have no fear of Trump’s retribution.” Her comments come as one poll found Haley trails Trump by 23 points in South Carolina. There are at least 40 GOP primaries and nine GOP caucuses still left. However, Trump’s campaign projects he will claim enough delegates to secure the nomination by March 12.

*Evil Nikki Haley for VP (said a Hake caller, SMH)

(CNN or theSkimm Wed 2-21-24) Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley on Tuesday reiterated her plans to stay in the 2024 race against former President Donald Trump, just five days ahead of the South Carolina primary. Although analysts say she has no mathematical path to the GOP nomination, Haley has vowed to carry on beyond the South Carolina primary and through Super Tuesday on March 5. According to one of the latest polls, Trump leads Haley among likely voters in South Carolina’s upcoming Republican primary, 65% to 30%. Meanwhile, a new filing Tuesday showed Trump’s leadership PAC paid out nearly $3 million to law firms last month as his legal troubles mounted. The former president also racked up an additional $1.9 million in unpaid legal bills at the end of January, according to the documents.

*Super Bowl KC rally shooting

(CNN or theSkimm Wed 2-21-24) Authorities have unveiled new charges in the Kansas City Super Bowl rally shooting last week that left one woman dead and more than 20 others injured. Two men are each facing second-degree murder charges as well as two counts of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon, prosecutor Jean Peters Baker said in a news conference Tuesday. The two adults charged are different than the two juveniles who were chased and detained after the shooting, officials said. Kansas City radio DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a mother of two, was identified as the person killed at the rally. Some of the victims, including several children, are still being treated for gunshot wounds.

Updates in Kansas City. Yesterday, Missouri prosecutors said they charged two men with second-degree murder for the deadly shooting after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade. The shooting last week killed 43-year-old Lisa Lopez-Galvan and injured about two dozen others, including at least nine children. Prosecutors said the two men pulled out their guns after an argument escalated. The two men, who suffered gunshot wounds, remain hospitalized and are each being held on a $1 million bond. They could face life in prison, if convicted. Authorities have also charged two teens in the case and said there could be more arrests.

*Female child abuser YouTuber?

(CNN or theSkimm Wed 2-21-24) people are talking about… Ruby Franke. Yesterday, the former “8 Passengers” vlogger was sentenced to four consecutive prison terms for aggravated child abuse. Franke, who had more than 2 million followers on YouTube, was arrested last year after her 12-year-old son escaped. She pleaded guilty to four counts of child abuse, admitting to denying her children food and water and to physically abusing them. During sentencing, a prosecutor said her children faced a “concentration camp-like setting.” Franke apologized to her children, reportedly saying, “I’ll never stop crying for hurting your tender souls.” She faces up to 30 years in prison. The Utah Board of Pardons and Parole will decide how much time she serves.

*Middle East

(CNN or theSkimm Wed 2-21-24) The US vetoed an Algerian resolution at the UN on Tuesday calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. For months, the Biden administration has advocated for a temporary halt in fighting but avoided using the term “ceasefire” as it remains supportive of Israel. It was only on Monday that the Biden administration for the first time called for a “temporary ceasefire” in the conflict amid signs of American frustration with the war. Tuesday’s vote on Algeria’s proposed measure came ahead of an anticipated Israeli offensive in Rafah, the southernmost city in Gaza where more than a million and a half Palestinians with few resources are crammed with no clear evacuation route.

*Black Hole: Space is REAL

(CNN or theSkimm Wed 2-21-24) Space has a massive black hole. Earlier this week, astronomers said they discovered the fastest growing black hole ever recorded. To review, a black hole is a huge concentration of matter from which not even light can escape. This one, located about 12 billion light-years away, is growing so fast that it basically eats one sun a day. Its mass also happens to be 17 billion times larger than the Earth’s sun. Big Leo energy.

*Alabama saves the babies!

(CNN or theSkimm Wed 2-21-24) In a first-of-its-kind ruling, Alabama’s Supreme Court said frozen embryos are children and those who destroy them can be held liable for wrongful death. The state’s decision puts back into national focus the question of when life begins and is one that reproductive rights advocates say could have a chilling effect on infertility treatments and the hundreds of Alabama residents who seek them each year. Though the court’s decision does not prohibit in vitro fertilization procedures, or IVF, it is the first known case in which a US court says frozen embryos are human beings (DUHH!). NOT READ: Critics warn it could soon have consequences nationally as other states could use the ruling as a roadmap to define embryos as people and dissuade people from seeking IVF treatments.

*Biden announces another round of student debt relief

(CNN or theSkimm Wed 2-21-24) The black-on-the-inside The White House has announced the approval of $1.2 billion in student debt cancellation for more than 150,000 borrowers currently enrolled in a new repayment plan known as SAVE. The administration launched the program in August as the pandemic-related pause on student loan payments was ending. Nearly $138 billion of federal student loan debt has been canceled for almost 3.9 million borrowers since Biden took office.

*Elon Musk’s update on brain chip implants

(CNN or theSkimm Wed 2-21-24) Neuralink’s first human trial participant can control a computer mouse with their brain, Elon Musk said, nearly one month after the company completed the daring chip implant procedure.

**Macy’s closing a lot

(CNN or theSkimm Wed 2-21-24) Macy’s has closed nearly 300 stores since 2015 — almost one third of its locations. While many shoppers are moving away from department stores, Macy’s recently rejected an unsolicited $6 billion bid from an activist investor to take the famed chain private. A real estate investment group is now trying to seize control of the company’s board to radically shift its long-term strategy.

RUSSIAN SPIES!

(CNN or theSkimm Wed 2-21-24) The former FBI informant charged with lying about the Bidens’ dealings in Ukraine told investigators that he got dirt on Hunter Biden from Russian intelligence officials. Prosecutors said in a new court filing Tuesday that Alexander Smirnov has been “actively peddling new lies that could impact US elections” after meeting with Russian spies last year and that the fallout from his previous false bribery accusations about the Bidens “continue[s] to be felt to this day.” The revelation comes amid backlash over how Smirnov’s now-debunked allegations played into House Republicans’ impeachment inquiry into President Biden. Separately, the US is expected to announce a major sanctions package against Russia on Friday that is intended to hold President Vladimir Putin accountable for his war in Ukraine — and the death of Russian opposition figure Alexey Navalny.

*11yo girl found dead in TX

(CNN or theSkimm Wed 2-21-24) QUOTE: “Please keep Audrii’s family, teachers, friends, and community in your thoughts and prayers as they grieve this tragic loss.” — Livingston Independent School District (way out in the boonies, NNE of Houston), issuing a statement after they found the body of an 11-year-old Texas girl in the Trinity River on Tuesday —she’d disappeared on her way to school. Audrii Cunningham’s disappearance captured national attention this month as several Texas communities joined in the search efforts. A 42-year-old family friend has been identified as a “person of interest” and remains in custody.
