JAN 6 PROPAGANDA FALLING APART
FROM HAKE NEWS: (CNN Tue.) Fox News host Tucker Carlson aired newly released footage on his show Monday from the January 6, 2021, US Capitol attack that included images of the mostly peaceful protestor (smeared by CNN as a “rioter”) known as the "QAnon Shaman" (who was escorted around with cops and was generally well-behaved, even though I believe he was sentenced to 3 years!), as well as of Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, a white Trump supporting cop who died of a stroke at just 42 years-old a day after the sometimes wild, partly riotous, but mostly peaceful protest (which they call an “attack”). (The Fake News including Hake had falsely reported he was hit with a fire extinguisher — other cops had been but they were fine.)
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy granted Tucker access to more than 40,000 hours of the Capitol security footage from January 6. CNN and other news organizations have also requested access to the footage. Based RINO Kevin McCarthy's office said it is still working out the process to make the footage "more widely available" but did not comment further.
Separately, former Vice President Mike Pence has asked a judge to block a subpoena for his testimony related to January 6, previously arguing it was "unconstitutional and unprecedented."
TWEET: Chuck Schumer said he’d be running his mouth on the Senate Floor 10am (ET) today.
TWEET: J6 Committee’s Adam Kinzinger fighting with Ric Grenell (Trump gay) over who should be ashamed…
TWEET BLAMING TRUMP: (Cernovich) As I reported two days after January 6th, Trump chose himself over January 6’ers. He didn’t want convicted at impeachment and that’s why he didn’t do the pardons. You can call that the right choice. But make that argument. Say Trump running against matters more than J6’ers.
DOJ screenshot: Yes, there have been pre-charge blanket pardons. (Did Trump know how bad it’d be? How much did he know about who did what, and what they did, and who they were? [You want him to pardon Antifa and the Feds??] Where’s the benefit of the doubt?)
CLASTON BERNARD (ClastonB) This is like blaming the guns and not the criminals who use them. People were falsely detained and you are mad at Trump. Something isn't right about that kind of thinking. The ones who concocted the Soviet plot are responsible.
'HISTORY' PROPAGANDIST: J6, CRT
CLIP 11 (EndWokeness / CNN) Ken Burns (director, documentary filmmaker) on Tucker Carlson releasing the January 6th footage: “It’s a huge threat to our republic” (as he also bashes the FL education bill as an “assault” on liberties, what DeSantis and R’s are doing against CRT and Commie History like what Trump did against The People’s History author Howard Zinn, etc.) … 0:30
Indian Mascots hurt mental health of children
Summary of the APA Resolution Recommending Retirement of American Indian Mascots: "The use of American Indian mascots as symbols in schools and university athletic programs is particularly troubling because schools are places of learning. These mascots are teaching stereotypical, misleading and too often, insulting images of American Indians. These negative lessons are not just affecting American Indian students; they are sending the wrong message to all students." - Former APA President Ronald F. Levant, EdD
In 2005, the APA called for the immediate retirement of all American Indian mascots, symbols, images and personalities by schools, colleges, universities, athletic teams and organizations. APA's position is based on a growing body of social science literature that shows the harmful effects of racial stereotyping and inaccurate racial portrayals, including the particularly harmful effects of American Indian sports mascots on the social identity development and self-esteem of American Indian young people.
Research has shown that the continued use of American Indian mascots, symbols, images and personalities has a negative effect on not only American Indian students but all students by:
Undermining the educational experiences of members of all communities-especially those who have had little or no contact with indigenous peoples. The symbols, images and mascots teach non-Indian children that it's acceptable to participate in culturally abusive behavior and perpetuate inaccurate misconceptions about American Indian culture.
Establishes an unwelcome and often times hostile learning environment for American Indian students that affirms negative images/stereotypes that are promoted in mainstream society.
According to Stephanie Fryberg, PhD, University of Arizona, this appears to have a negative impact on the self-esteem of American Indian children, "American Indian mascots are harmful not only because they are often negative, but because they remind American Indians of the limited ways in which others see them. This in turn restricts the number of ways American Indians can see themselves."
Undermines the ability of American Indian Nations to portray accurate and respectful images of their culture, spirituality and traditions. Many American Indians report that they find today's typical portrayal of American Indian culture disrespectful and offensive to their spiritual beliefs.
Presents stereotypical images of American Indians. Such mascots are a contemporary example of prejudice by the dominant culture against racial and ethnic minority groups.
Is a form of discrimination against American Indian Nations that can lead to negative relations between groups.
"We know from the literature that oppression, covert and overt racism, and perceived racism can have serious negative consequences for the mental health of American Indian and Alaska native people. The discontinued use of American Indian mascots is a gesture to show that this kind of racism toward and the disrespect of, all people in our country and in the larger global context, will not be tolerated," said Lisa Thomas, PhD, APA Committee on Ethnic and Minority Affairs.
To eradicate the hurtful presence of stereotypical imaging of American Indians, the APA encourages continued research on the psychological effects that these mascots, symbols, images and personalities have on American Indian communities and others.
The APA is calling upon all psychologists to speak out against racism, and take proactive steps to prevent the occurrence of intolerant or racist acts and recommends the immediate retirement of American Indian mascots, symbols, images and personalities by schools, colleges, universities, athletic teams and organizations.
This document is based on the APA American Indian Mascot Resolution adopted by the APA's Council of Representatives in September 2005.

California vs. Walgreens
(TheSkimm Tue.) The Story: California is breaking up with Walgreens.
What’s happening? Earlier this year, the FDA gave pharmacies the 'OK' to dispense abortion pills to patients with prescriptions in states where it’s legal. Walgreens and CVS were on board with the plan...until last week. Walgreens — the country’s second-largest pharmacy chain — announced it won’t be selling the abortion pill, mifepristone, in 20 states. It comes after the Republican attorneys general in those states threatened to take legal action against pharmacies that provide the pill. Currently, Walgreens does not dispense the abortion pill in any state. However, it plans to distribute the pills based on “where it is legal and operationally feasible.” The company's stance has California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) saying, 'Walgreens just lost a big customer.'
Explain. Yesterday, Newsom announced the state will no longer work with Walgreens. He reportedly ordered the California Department of Health and Human Services to review all ties between the state and the company, including with the state’s two largest public insurance plans. Nearly 14 million low-income Californians — about one-third of the state’s population — are on the public plan Medi-Cal alone. But it's unclear how much business those public insurance plans do with Walgreens. Newsom said that the state won’t do business with Walgreens or “any company that cowers to the extremists and puts women's lives at risk.” Meanwhile, Rite Aid and CVS haven’t announced a change in their policies yet.
theSkimm: Medication abortions account for more than half of abortions in the US. Now, following the overturn of Roe v. Wade, abortion pills have become a focal point for abortion rights supporters and anti-abortion advocates. Only time will tell how long a decades-old drug remains accessible to 40 million women nationwide.
