6 States Ask Supreme Court to Join Texas Election Lawsuit
(The Epoch Times) The states of Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Utah on Dec. 10 asked the Supreme Court to let them intervene in an election lawsuit filed earlier in the week by the state of Texas.
“The Intervening States do not doubt that Plaintiff State of Texas will vigorously and effectively litigate this case, but the Attorney General of each individual State is best situated to represent the interests of that State and its People,” the motion (pdf) states.
The defendant states illegally altered election laws, causing a flood of mail-in votes without appropriate ballot integrity measures in place, Texas alleged. The resulting irregularities put the ultimate outcome of the election in doubt, the lawsuit argues. SOUNDS REASONABLE
MI, PA State Lawmakers Ask SCOTUS to Join TX Election Lawsuit
A group of state legislators and voters asked the Supreme Court on Thursday for permission to join Texas’s lawsuit challenging 2020 election results in four states.
Among the members listed in the request (pdf) are those who had previously filed lawsuits seeking to de-certify election results either in state or federal courts. These include several voters and Pennsylvania state legislators Daryl D. Metcalfe, Chris E. Dush, and Thomas R. Sankey III, whose lawsuit was dismissed by a state judge.
Meanwhile, a group of Michigan state legislators have also signed on to the brief asking to intervene in the case.
President Donald Trump and his allies have pinned great expectations on the Texas lawsuit, with the president characterizing the case as “the big one.” The court has not indicated whether it would take up the case, even though the justices have original jurisdiction over the dispute. This means that the court has the power to hear the case for the first time as opposed to reviewing a lower court’s decision.
“The Supreme Court has a chance to save our Country from the greatest Election abuse in the history of the United States,” Trump wrote in a Twitter statement on Thursday.
PA House Leaders File to Support TX SCOTUS Lawsuit Against PA
So the Pennsylvania House supports Texas in suit against Pennsylvania… NICE.
The Speaker of the House Brian Cutler, and the House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff had lawyers file an amici curiae
MT Gov. Files Brief in Opposition to TX SCOTUS Lawsuit
(The Epoch Times) That’s Steve Bullock supporting Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin, saying the Supreme Court shouldn’t let TX sue.
Montana is one of the states in which President Donald Trump won by a large margin in the November election. Bullock, a Democrat, argued that Montana, like the four defendant states, had expanded mail-in voting in the 2020 election, which means the outcome of the Texas case would impact the results of the election in his state. WHATEVER.
39 States Pick Sides in TX Supreme Court Election Challenge
More than three dozen states and an assortment of lawmakers and third parties filed a flurry of briefs on Dec. 10, picking sides in a legal battle over whether the Supreme Court should consider the TX lawsuit.

39 States Pick Sides (continued…)
(The Epoch Times) Twenty Democrat attorneys general filed a brief on Dec. 10 in support of the defendant swing states that Texas is trying to sue in the Supreme Court over their allegedly illegal election practices. A day earlier, 18 Republican attorneys general backed the Lone Star State.
Republican Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost (PERHAPS A RINO) backed neither party and opposed the relief sought by Texas, namely that the Supreme Court should toss out the election results in the four contested states and order their state legislatures to pick electors in accordance with the Constitution.
The four defendant states and the 20 Democrat AGs constitute all but one of the Democratic attorneys general in the United States. Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller was the only Democrat who didn’t join the lawsuit as of the evening of Dec. 10. Georgia has a Republican attorney general (Christopher Carr, an apparent RINO).
106 House R’s Back TX Election Lawsuit in Supreme Court
(The Epoch Times) The 106 Congressional lawmakers asked the nation’s top court on Thursday for permission to file a friend-of-the-court brief that asks the justices to uphold the power of state legislatures to establish how presidential electors are appointed and to determine the constitutionality of ballots cast and counted under election rules established by non-legislative officials.
“In the months before the 2020 election, those rules were deliberately changed by both state and non-state actors,” the lawmakers wrote in their brief (pdf).
“The clear authority of those state legislatures to determine the rules for appointing electors was usurped at various times by governors, secretaries of state, election officials, state courts, federal courts, and private parties.”
LOCKDOWNS in VA
(WRIC ABC 8 News) Starting Monday, Virginia will implement a “modified stay-at-home order,” or statewide curfew, from midnight until 5 a.m. and require masks outdoors when social distancing guidelines can’t be followed.
Blackface Infanticide Gov. Ralph Northam announced a bunch of control-freak restrictions, including new limits on social gatherings, in a press conference Thursday.
“New daily case numbers are higher than they have been,” this lying Democrat stated, admitting that “trends in Virginia are better than most of the country,” but he wants to clamp down on your freedom “before our hospitals get overwhelmed,” YEAH RIGHT! SCARE-MONGERING!
You may have heard in the first hour of the JLP show today: Ralph Northam lectures churchgoers “you do not need to sit in the church pews for God to hear your prayers” … This is the abortion governor who’s ok with letting babies die after they’re born — if the woman and doctor agree. And he’s a doctor. So much for “do no harm”!
NOT READ: Shutdown Fight in MI
(LifeZette) The owners of the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group have brought together hundreds of Michigan restaurant owners.
Joe Vicari, the president and owner of the restaurant group, told Fox Business, “I called my restaurant groups in southeastern Michigan to band together. We had about 400 restaurants come together.”
They met together via Skype, given the fact that there are heavy restrictions on in-person gatherings in the state.
“We’re standing united,” he explained. “We want to get to a solution with the governor to reopen restaurants.”
