(Skimm) Health officials are investigating a mysterious illness in children. It’s a pediatric multisystem inflammatory syndrome and it appears to be linked to COVID-19. At least seven states have reported cases, including potentially 85 in New York alone. But most kids who've gotten it seem to be able to recover with the help of immunoglobulin (HMM). The treatment is used for a similar but rare illness known as Kawasaki disease, which mainly affects children under five. In this case, experts are asking parents to keep an eye on symptoms, which can include a fever, stomach pain, and a rash. It can appear days to weeks after a child gets COVID-19. And some doctors think it could result from an overactive immune system response to the virus.
Doctors started identifying some of these cases in New York last month. And there had been reports of it in Europe, with at least 50 cases reportedly found in Britain, France, Switzerland, Spain, and Italy. Most children with the syndrome had tested positive for COVID-19 or its antibodies. But some tested negative. Now, New York is planning to work with the CDC to investigate the syndrome. Until now, the coronavirus was believed to have largely spared children.
(The Skimm) Little Richard died. Over the weekend, the "king and queen" (WHAAAT?!) of rock 'n' roll died of bone cancer at age 87. His hits included "Tutti Frutti," "Long Tall Sally," and "Slippin' and Slidin'" – and he was an influence for musicians including David Bowie, James Brown, Prince.... Bob Dylan remembered him as a "shining star and guiding light."
(CNN) Several prominent government figures are self-quarantining after being exposed to a person at the White House who tested positive for Covid-19. Dr. Anthony Fauci is doing a "modified quarantine," working from home. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) head Dr. Robert Redfield and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) chief Dr. Stephen Hahn are both self-quarantining. All three men are slated to testify remotely in a Senate hearing on coronavirus response later this week. Sen. Lamar Alexander of Tennessee will also self-quarantine after a staffer tested positive. Adm. Michael Gilday, the chief of naval operations, will do the same after interacting with a family member with the virus. Recently, President Trump's personal valet, the vice president's female spokesman, Katie Miller (Stephen Miller’s recent bride), and Ivanka Trump's personal assistant (who has been teleworking for nearly two months) all tested positive for Covid-19 as well.
A South Dakota Sioux tribe is refusing to end coronavirus checkpoints along roads leading to through tribal land even though the state’s government has deemed them illegal. Leaders of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe say the checkpoints, which are designed to monitor and track possible coronavirus exposure, are the best tool the tribe has to stop an outbreak. However, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem says the checkpoints interfere with traffic on US and state highways, and are thus against the law. The Cheyenne River Sioux and Oglala Sioux tribes have both issued strict stay-at-home orders and curfews for their communities even though there are no similar statewide restrictions.
(CNN) Michigan Rep. Justin Amash (Libertarian ex-RINO) announced last week that he was exploring a run for the Libertarian Party's presidential nomination. The politician infamously left the Republican Party and supported Trump's fake impeachment. CNN fantasizes that Amash's possible candidacy could do damage in his home state of Michigan. Trump won the swing state in 2016 by just 10,000 votes. Trump would stomp that trick!

Stay tuned for Hour 3. After that, catch The Hake Report.
(The Skimm) It's Mental Health Awareness month, and this year, it's more important than ever. I GUESS THEY SAY THAT BECAUSE OF THE COVID.
(They’re advertising some online therapy platform that has licensed therapists you can talk to from home. NOT RECOMMENDED. They’re partnered with Michael Phelps, the World Champion Swimmer who supposedly “struggled with anxiety and depression for much of his life.” WHAT A MESS. HOW DEPRESSING, RIGHT?)
Get counseling with Jesse Lee Peterson — it’s way better, based in reality and common sense. Go to rebuildingtheman.com/counseling or call 800-411-BOND, 1-800-411-2663, or call our local number 323-782-1980, to get details and schedule an appointment — counseling by phone or Skype! It’s great. Also in person once this covid wears off!
(Drudge) Investigators reviewing additional video footage in Ahmaud Arbery case… (AJC — Atlanta Journal-Constitution) GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigation) are reviewing the tape, recorded minutes before the Feb. 23 killing. The video appears to be from a home security camera installed at a house about a block from the shooting. (One of the armed men who confronted Arbery that day later told police they pursued him because they thought he had been involved in earlier break-ins in the neighborhood.)
The video shows a man wearing a white shirt and shorts, who appears to be Arbery, 25, walking down Satilla Drive on that Sunday afternoon. It shows the man run/walk into the garage of a house under construction and then walk around back of the house. The tape indicates that man was on the construction site less than five minutes, much of the time out of view of the camera. They don’t know whether he took anything from the house. Somebody appeared to spot him and he ran. Someone called 911 on him as he was in there and as he took off. Six minutes later another 911 call came in about the black male running down the street.
(WSAV) The property owner shared numerous videos of what all appear to be the same man walking through the home that date as far back as October 2019. Journalist Vincent James shared an excerpt of this same article that read: “The man in the videos is never seen removing items from the home.” BUT: “The homeowner stated that he installed cameras due to previous theft of items during construction, including copper piping.” This part of this local NBC affiliate article appears to have been removed, ODDLY.
Ahmaud was confronted while jogging/running and shot amid a fight over a shotgun. Now Travis and Gregory McMichael are in the Glynn County jail after a judge refused to free them on bond Friday afternoon. PSH. LIBERAL JUDGE.
(Drudge) Armed Black Panthers protest in neighborhood… PSH. (Daily Mail) Armed protesters from the Black Panther Party, 'I Fight For My People', and 'My Vote is Hip Hop' (DON’T ASK ME WHAT THAT MEANS, DAILY MAIL IS A SLOPPY OUTLET THAT DOESN’T EXPLAIN IT, and Google searches come up with nothing.) — but they gathered Saturday to demonstrate close to where Arbery died.
A vigil was also held Saturday, a day after what would have been Arbery's 26th birthday, which was attended by friends and family including Arbery's mother and sister.
(Drudge) Atlanta Mayor: Trump Rhetoric Gave 'Permission' in Shooting… (Breitbart) Keisha Lance Bottoms [her mind is bottomed out] told CNN’s Jake Tapper “with the rhetoric” from “the White House...many who are prone to being racist are given permission to do it in an overt way that we otherwise would not see in 2020.” She said “in cities across this country, even if local leadership fails, there was always the backstop of our Justice Department to step in and make sure people are appropriately prosecuted.” NO! She said she has four “African American boys…. They are angry, and...afraid.”
