JLP Show Notes | Thu. 10-19-23

Great monologue on love, anger, truth, revenge. A couple alphas: Tarczynski, Poilievre. Good calls!

JLP Hr 1  Bible Thumper Thursday… GREAT MONOLOGUE: You don’t have a free will. Will yourself to have perfect peace. … Speak the truth in love, not anger. Men used not to be angry, but women were. Everybody gets a thrill from seeking revenge and bearing grudges. Leviticus 19: 18 Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone, but love your neighbor as yourself. Do you love your neighbor as yourself? No. Deuteronomy 10: 19 Therefore love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.  //

Based Polish Parliament member Dominik Tarczynski was interviewed by Tucker. Great clips (played before in past few days) Another alpha: Pierre Poilievre eating an apple, smacking down a reporter’s words that have no meaning.  //  Jonathan in Northern Ireland and his wife I think talk to JLP.  //  Edwin in MA (1st-timer) thanks JLP, been listening 6 mo, forgave mother…

JLP Hr 2  Edwin in MA has a landscaping business that shuts down in Nov. He doesn’t wanna be a factory slave, so is his mind. He’s never met his father in NY.  //  Veronica in TX (1st-timer) agrees about women, but hasn’t gone to her mother (“busy”).  //  Lane in OH (1st-timer) shouts out Cozy, he answers BQ: What is the boomerang in your life? He was brought to the faith by a huge Bible thumper Steven Anderson. He compares the Bible to Braveheart, the word of man communicating.  //

“Peggy [Sue, I love you]” in TX on the Devil… Do some fathers not love their children? All do, but can’t deal with mothers. Fathers, bad drinkers, help kids into drugs. Blind father doing wrong by his children. Devil is your thoughts. …  //  Another great call…  //  Super Chats

JLP Hr 3  Bad audio, sorry! Popping, etc.  ANOTHER GREAT BRIEF MONOLOGUE: Emotions evil… Rashida Tlaib  //  Some great calls (popping, sorry!)  … Thomas in GA (1st-timer) is a beta, old timer, wants to be alpha.

Israel-Hamas drama: Liberals playing dumb!

(CNN or theSkimm playing dumb Thu. 10/19/23) The fog of war complicating an already complex situation. As reported: hundreds, believed killed after an explosion at a hospital in northern Gaza. Hamas blamed Israelis, “a horrific massacre.” Israel blamed Palestinian Islamic Jihad group — failed rocket launch. Protests spread across the Middle East; Jordan canceled a meeting with Biden.

US thinks Israel’s “not responsible” — infrared satellite, intercepted Hamas communications by Israel, and [video?] showing a launch from Gaza…  and assessments that the alleged crater in the hospital parking lot inconsistent with impacts from Israeli airstrikes. But LAME, WEAK Biden noted that “there's a lot of people out there” who are “not sure” about who’s responsible.

Scapegoat “Misinformation” and “disinformation” rampant on social media (AND MAINSTREAM MEDIA, SUCH AS FAR-LEFT AP!), tech layoffs cut back on the number of “fact checkers.” LOORRRD. It’s called wait and see… It’s also called, WHO CARES. 99.9999% of us, it’s not our business or fight.

There have been lies in the past: In 2022, Israel claimed that militants were to blame for the death of Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh but eventually took responsibility about a year later. Meanwhile, the Associated Press last year said it verified an Israeli assessment that Islamic Jihad rockets fell within Gaza, killing at least a dozen Palestinians. AP verified the assessment through TV footage and onsite visits. Then, there's the US government — which has its own history of flawed assessments that have led to war.

Developing:

  • The US vetoed a UN resolution to condemn violence against civilians, including Hamas’s attacks on Israel, and allow a humanitarian pause to deliver aid to Gaza.

  • “President” Biden will address the so-called nation tonight at 8 pm ET — bound to be somewhat boring and fully lame!

War welfare, oh no!

(CNN or theSkimm Thu. 10/19/23) US is sending $10 billion in military aid to Israel (part of a larger emergency aid package) and $100 million in aid to Palestinians. Israel agreed to allow Egypt to deliver “humanitarian aid” to Gaza — maybe starting tomorrow

Israel: The US-Israel relationship dates back to 1948, when the US became the first country to recognize Israeli statehood. US has strategic interests in the region — access to oil, eradicating “terrorism,” and countering the influence of Russia and Iran. US provides $3.8 billion dollars each year to support Israel’s military and missile defense system (Iron Dome?) — the largest amount of foreign aid the US consistently gives. To date, the US has given Israel over $158 billion dollars total (US Congress approved $113B to Ukraine just in the past couple years, Biden wants another $100B for Ukraine, just FYI). The two countries also rely on each other for intelligence sharing (AND ALLEGEDLY SPYING ON EACH OTHER? THEY SPY ON OUR DEEP STATE, FINE BY ME!), collaborate on weapons research and design, and trade about $50 billion in goods and services each year.

Palestinians: The US has historically been the largest single donor to UNRWA, the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, donating hundreds of millions of dollars per year. In 2018, the BASED Trump admin ended that aid. But over the past two years, the Biden (Obama pt III) recommitted to sending aid. Now, Biden says a $100 million package will be directed to the “more than 1 million displaced” Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. Biden warned Hamas not to take the aid or “they will have demonstrated once again that they have no concern for the welfare of the Palestinian people, and it will end as a practical matter.” Biden, so tough…NOT!

House speaker haha

(CNN & theSkimm Thu. 10/19/23) BORING The House. Yesterday, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) failed to secure the House speaker role for the second time. The House hasn’t had a speaker for over two weeks, since former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was removed from his post. Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) bowed out of the speaker race after just one go. Jordan lost more votes in the second round (22 RINOs against, 20 first time). Steep opposition. 3rd vote this afternoon? Reps open to expanding Rep. Patrick McHenry's (R-NC) limited powers as temporary speaker, in maybe 15-day increments.

It took former Speaker Kevin McCarthy 15 rounds of voting in January to secure the gavel.

China Virus

(CNN or theSkimm Thu. 10/19/23) The price of the lifesaving Covid-19 medication Paxlovid will more than double in the coming months, drugmaker Pfizer announced Wednesday. The change in list price comes as the US transitions from a system in which the government purchased the medication and provided it free to everyone to a more traditional commercial marketplace. The list price, before insurance, will be $1,390 for a five-day course, Pfizer said. That’s 2.6 times higher than the $530-per-course price paid by the US government, which provided Paxlovid free to patients during the pandemic. Covid-19 vaccines also increased in price as they went through a similar transition to a commercial market, rising about fourfold to between $115 to $130 per dose.

Pollution!

(CNN or theSkimm Thu. 10/19/23) A group of Republican-led states and industry groups are asking the Supreme Court to block President Biden’s “good neighbor” pollution rule. The regulation aims to cut down on harmful smog and air pollution that wafts across state lines. For instance, if one state generating ozone and smog through its coal-fired power plants sends these pollutants into another neighboring state, it could be in violation of the rule. In their application to the Supreme Court, the GOP-led states and industry groups say the plan finalized by the EPA threatens the reliability of the nation’s electric grid. The high court will likely ask for a response from the EPA before taking action.

Las Vegas Aces become WNBA’s 1st repeat champions in 21 years

(CNN or theSkimm Thu. 10/19/23) The Aces defeated the New York Liberty 70-69 in a thrilling game on Wednesday to secure the franchise’s second consecutive title.

NOT SCHOLASTIC!! Pure evil. Unsurprising!

(CNN or theSkimm Thu. 10/19/23) EVIL SCHOLASTIC! QUOTE: “All children need to see themselves in stories and it is extremely unsettling to consider a world in which they don’t.” — Scholastic, a leading publisher of children’s books, issuing a statement as dozens of laws and pending legislation in the US target LGBTQ titles and books that discuss racism. Ahead of many Scholastic book fairs planned across the nation, the company said elementary schools can choose whether or not to feature a curated collection of “titles we support even as they are the most likely to be restricted.”
